Our stay at the Clarendon fulfilled all our wishes. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff took care of everything. The smallest things like remembering something you told the day before, to exquisite arrangements for tours. The breakfast, all day menu and snacks in the room were very tasteful. Daud and the rest of the staff did everything to make us have the best time. Making us laugh, giving us suggestions and looking out for our safety. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Daily fresh cold water, new towels and chocolate on your pillow ;) Furthermore the location is safe. Supermarket, beach and restaurants close by. We will definitely come back!

The staff were very helpful and very friendly. Helped with out bags etc. good service at breakfast, 10/10 for the staff. Loved the design of the hotel and the views from the terrace. It was beautiful, well located and felt safe. I would recommend it

I had paid for a luxury double room, was a bit surprised that this was ground floor (as in right near the breakfast area) and looked out onto a busy road. If I didn’t have earplugs I wouldn’t have been able to sleep at all, the road is quiet from midnight until around 6am. Would recommend that the hotel make this crystal clear when booking so guests know what they are paying for.

The bespoke service was second to none. Generous, delicious breakfast portions, clean towels offered regularly, hot water bottles (winter season), nightly treats left in our room (chocolates, cookies etc.) and daily afternoon teatime. Location is also perfect. Close enough to town but away from the business of the city. Pro- walking distance to the Mojo market Staff were super professional and courteous, as was the host. Our stay as a family of 4 (couple and 2 kids) was perfect!

The room was very comfortable with a great bed. Breakfast included a lovely continental spread but there were very nice hot items that could be ordered. The staff were incredibly attentive and cheerful. There is the loveliest man there named Gift who was always available to help out. What a treasure of an employee!

Our room faced a street so not as quiet as I would have liked. That said, the neighborhood was quiet so only traffic noise at certain times during the day and not all night long.

Location is very good for both beaches and the city. The garden is so peaceful with two pools and a sunny aspect, well maintained and not too busy. Feels like you are in the country in the middle of the city. The staff make the place special, all are welcoming and friendly. In this area, the star of the show is named Gift, he fixed an early tricky little problem regarding the booking with great panache, and was ever present with his gentle banter which made it great fun to see him during our stay. Breakfast was great, and the view from the dining room over the gardens, city to sea was very tranquil. We look forward to staying in this lovely boutique hotel soon again.

Highest praise to the staff who are all excellent, will do anything to be of help, very warm and welcoming. Special appreciation for the huge effort to accommodate special dietary needs at breakfast. Room was well maintained and very comfortable.

very nice location in Sea Point, with good view to the Lions Head, great garden with two good pools, great to relax; great breakfast; we had a spacious room, excellent service from the team, the team even washed our car which was quite dirty from our trop to Namibia (unfortunately I did not have any cash to reward them).

Everything about Clarendon was excellent !!! The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the room and the garden was so beautiful. The food was so good both breakfast and lunch, still thinking about it:) I would definitly stay there again and recommend this to everyone. Amazing !!!

Loved the boutique hotel feel. Lovely pool and garden area and very modern/ stylish interiors. A special word has to go to Gift who went above and beyond to help us during our stay. We were last minute guests due to our flight being overbooked home. Even after we checked out, Gift set up everything we needed to ensure we could relax by the pool for the day, even giving us access to showers and lending a hair dryer so we were fresh for the airport! Thanks to the team!

The family room was large and had loads of cupboard space, the seperate interleading room for the boys was great, with a huge fatsak beanbag and exceptionally comfortable beds. Very clean and stylish decor. Huge main bed for adults, very comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the highlight was the afternoon tea with cake of the day. The kids especially loved the chocolate cake and Gift and his team gave exceptional service. Stunning outdoor solar lanterns during loadshedding at night were a plus. Very good location.

More inside parking would have been ideal, would have liked chairs and a table on the outside balcony instead of loungers, but that is merely personal preference and a desk to work at in the room. Gift and his team however did put a desk in for us when we asked...so well done! We loved our stay.
