There is a lot to like - which is why we have returned 3 times and booked our 4th holiday already. We needed the self catering facilities again this visit but still had 3 hotel breakfasts and as always, found the service team and the quality of food very good. The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable which was very important to us as we, again, spent a lot of time in the room. Having both a bath and a shower remains a bonus too. But perhaps most important of all - the friendly, welcoming and hospitable team gave us another super holiday.

situated very close to the ocean in seapoint with stunning balcony views. the rooms were comfortable and clean. tv had Netflix and YouTube, something I liked. the breakfast was decent, fresh juices, cheeses, pastry and breads, a selection of fruit, cereals, eggs Benedict as per the menu, and many other things.

the only thing I didn’t really like was the attitude of the staff members in the restaurant - they weren’t friendly. they weren’t really accommodating, neither offered us anything, but they went to other foreigners table and offered to make coffee/tea etc.

This was a family trip and had my elderly parents with me on this trip. We were not told that the bedroom was upstairs so as a result we had to downgrade the room. However, we were not refunded the difference for the downgrade. We were told that we booked via booking.com so that they were not able to help us. The reception staff were difficult to work with. They didn't take head to our requests and unfortunately, we had no chose as we had elderly people with us. We paid the extra price even though we downgraded the room.

The location is excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom has a bath tub and a shower. The staff, minus the cleaning staff, were wonderful. Ocean views from the bedroom window Lovely pool and outside area

Our room, 214, had some issues. We arrived and a very rough and unfriendly cleaning lady told us we can’t enter the room. She proceeded to call reception to complain. She then hurriedly cleaned the room and we could tell upon entering. I was afraid to ask her for more toilet paper when we ran out. Our room was cleaned once over a 4-night stay. There were old cigarette butts on the balcony. A 4-plate stove in the room and not a single pot or pan. Shower door was broken. Bin was broken. Trash wasn’t collected, and with a toddler in tow it began to smell. I emptied the trash myself on the third day. Plug in bathroom sink was broken. Loadshedding was a real pain as the elevator didn’t work anymore. They only gave us one keycard and charged me R200 for another one.

the location of the hotel is perfect 150 from the beach and close to restaurants and shops. The service is impeccable because everything is clean, large rooms and bathrooms. The welcome at the reception and the friendliness of the staff were brilliant and make you want to come back. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming for vacation or for work.

Breakfast was very good and big enough to last most of the day with everything you want from an English breakfast. Hot shower with perfect water pressure and temperature and most invigorating and good smelling shower soap!

Nobody visiting bar for sundowners, maybe because there are so many other places close by to have a drink and eat!

General appearance was neat and tidy. Parking was always available inside. Room was neat and comfortable. Staff was presentable and friendly. Loyiso Zekevy, the night auditor was very helpful and professional.

Cutting the croissants in two to make it look more was not very flattering. The basement parking is not very neat and tidy. It gives a disorganised feel. The breakfast was always nice except when the new Pilot software caused a bit of irritation. The staff training and dependabillity should have been tested beforehand. We stayed in this hotel before the ownership change a few years back. We could definitely see a budget cutting drive in the overall feel of the hotel with the new management.

Very spacious room with comfortable bed and clean bathrooms with nice hot water. Very friendly and helpful customer service! Great location - easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach front.

Although the room had a kitchenette with a stove top, there were no pots or pans, no chopping board, knife etc for food preparation, no dish cleaning brush, or detergent or tea towel. We asked for a few things which were very promptly provided and bought some others ourselves and left behind after our stay.

2 highlights, the receptionist was wonderful and the second highlight was the bed linen.

the TV could have been a bit updated, e.g. have netflix for customer logins
