One of the most beautiful and memorable places I’ve stayed at, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. After booking, we were surprised to learn that the lodge is about 5 hours away from Cape Town — and since it was fully booked, we could only stay for one night. Our afternoon game drive was scheduled for 2:30 PM, but we were still on the road coming from Cape Town. I contacted them, and they kindly agreed to wait for us, updating the time to 2:15 PM. I kept them updated on my location, and they were so accommodating. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The surroundings are stunning and perfect for a getaway. I tried the vehicle safari, the horseback safari, and the picnic experience. Personally, the horseback safari was my favorite — such a unique and exciting way to explore. The vehicle safari was a bit less thrilling for me as I didn’t get to see animals up close or spot the Big Five, especially the lion I was hoping to see. Still, it was a lovely experience. The picnic setup was beautiful — they prepare a basket for you and drive you to the picnic spot so you can arrange it however you like. The food in the basket wasn’t exactly to my taste, but the location and atmosphere were amazing. I highly recommend booking at least two nights, especially if you’re coming from far away, or staying in nearby areas to make the most of your visit. The safari activities are also great for kids — I saw many children enjoying themselves. Overall, the price is very reasonable for the experience, and it’s definitely worth adding to your itinerary.

The resort was absolutely stunning — everything from the atmosphere to the details was top-notch. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the place felt very classy and well-maintained. Our room was beautiful with a lovely view, and the overall ambiance was simply unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special getaway. Although the golf cart service wasn't originally designated for guest transportation, the staff kindly made an exception for my mother due to the distance of her room. They provided her with a golf cart ride to ensure her comfort, and I truly appreciate this thoughtful gesture. It meant a lot to us and showed how caring and considerate the staff are.

This was our first stay on a game reserve and the 'tent' we stayed in was vast, luxurious and opulent. From the wood burner to the rain showers and stone basins, the large windows overlooking the reserve it was perfect. We went on two game drives, hosted by Kai who is a font of knowledge. We saw a range of wildlife, elephants, rhinos, lions, cheetahs, impalas, hippos to name but a few. Not only did Kai educate us with facts and figures about the animals on the reserve, he also served a great G&T sun downer and unforgettable hot chocolate and Amarillo combo on the early morning drive.

The most incredible location located on a hill above the river which affords incredible views from the bar / dining area and the rooms alike. Rooms are newly refurbished with some of the best bath / shower views I've seen in a long time.

The wildlife felt a little more like a safari park (Longleat) than other private reserves I have been too, and also the spa had recently burned down. It certainly caters for the 'volume' end of the market with very large numbers of day visitors possible which detracts from the feeling of isolation. Breakfast and lunch were excellent but the dinner menu was more disappointing sadly.

Location, location, location!! Horse riding safari, on other safaris our guide Mandela was outstanding.

The table reserving by numbers in the inside dining area was crazy - just do it all on first come first served! Disappointed at wasted energy eg lights on in bright sunlight and amount of plastic packaging used

This place is a dream. We booked the deluxe tented suite and it did not disappoint. The outdoor shower, balcony, fireplace, bed, layout, everything was perfect. The game drives were amazing and we saw 4 out of the big 5 in 2 days!!! The massages were absolutely incredible. Thanks to Collen for looking after us and Mandela for the informative and entertaining game drives. Angelique and Maria at the Spa were amazing. The staff are amazing and make your stay very comfortable.

This is a fantastic place to experience 4 of the 'big 5' along the Garden Route. We planned to spend just one night and to do a jeep safari, but as soon as we arrived we decided to stay 2 nights and also did 2 horseback safaris and a picnic lunch. The whole place is beautiful, comfortable and well run. The staff really care about their animals and want to show them off when they can. The Game Reserve is huge, and seeing the animals on horseback was an amazing experience. We both wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in a 'tent' lodge, which was comfortable with the 2 of us and a heater, and the outdoor shower was terrific! The food in the restaurant was excellent too.

It's not inexpensive, but it is worth it!

I had an amazing stay at [Hotel Name] in [Location]! Despite the winter cold, the room was cozy with every detail thoughtfully designed. The hotel's atmosphere was inviting, and I loved the activities like the safari and horse riding – they were totally my vibe. A monkey even visited my balcony, and the view with all the animals was incredible. Highly recommend for a unique and enjoyable getaway! حلال كل فلس عليه، الفندق ولا غلطة.

I had one night in the suite for our honey moon which was cool. I had a safari trip in the afternoon and saw 3 out of the big 5 animals. The next day I went on the horse ride safari both were extra charge which I enjoyed alot. The foods were good ,and staff were helpful.

I was a bit pricy considering everything need to bay for but was a good experience.
