It’s a gorgeous property. It’s as if somebody randomly airdropped a Tuscan estate onto a random South African plot of land. It’s a pity I visited in winter but I know how gorgeous it is in summer once the rain’s come in and the river’s in full flow. The staff, true to South African hospitality was wonderful! The front desk, HILARIOUS! So helpful, so efficient. Wonderful restaurant and delicious food with polite and accommodating waitstaff.

The toilet and showers. They are so out of place and don’t fit in with the aesthetic of the rest of the room. It’s as if they ran out of budget and decided that camp dorm showers would suffice. Dear management/owner, PLEASE update. It takes away so much from the gorgeous room. Maybe also update the TV placement for room 2. Either mount it on the wall or change its position relative to the beds. I think upgrading the TVs themselves to smart TVs that offer Netflix or other streaming services would elevate the experience.

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The setting had this cozy Little Italy feel to it, soft nature lights twinkling around us created the perfect ambiance. It felt romantic and peaceful, like a hidden gem tucked away from the chaos of life. The food? Hands down 10/10. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully plated. It felt like a true culinary escape. Special shoutout to Nomthandazo and Desmond, they were honestly the highlight of our stay. Attentive, warm, funny, and so thoughtful. They made us feel seen and celebrated. The entire staff was helpful, kind, and always ready with a smile. From the service to the atmosphere, everything was just chef’s kiss perfect. Can’t wait to go back. If you're looking for great food, beautiful ambiance, and staff who truly care..this is the spot.

check in seemed more rushed,they explained that there's room service but did not inform us that there's no phones in the room.Even with wifi we had to figure out ourselves that wifi is available.

Breakfast was fantastic, buffet breakfast with a large variety. Coffee was excellent, and to top it all you could have breakfast indoor and also outdoor. Aside from breakfast it was really convenient that they would bring your orders to any location in the hotel, by the pool, by the playground or anywhere else the guest feels comfortable. In addition you can go to the park next door and have your family enjoy the facilities, food court, playground and carting, really great.

The rooms were very nice, the staff were absolutely helpful and attentive, the front desk was agile, what can I say, it is a great place to spend the weekends or holidays. We are already planning for our children and grand children to join us in Avianto for a large family gathering. Nop, I don't see how you could top the place, sorry!

Breakfast (Zloofzight and 26 degrees) amazing value for money. Dirt Road to the rooms not great (room 15) Breakfast indoor seating area not vacuumed, flowers on the table dead, and one table broken. Hike ... road markers (directions) not clear, and in some cases not visible.

In the room: there were no instructions to use the safe in the room, this was frustrating the quality of the tv visuals was poor, some channels, were totally blurred In the dining area: although there was a big basket of wood, staff did not offer to start the fireplace. One of the guests ended up getting the fireplace going

It’s Rustic and gives Italy vibes. The room was spacious and comfortable.

It is very cold, they keep it warm though. I also did not like the egg smell during breakfast, the breakfast smell was not inviting. The egg smell came off as though pans or utensils were not cleaned properly or there were just a lot of egg residues on surfaces, thus creating that smell in the environment, and taking away from that nice breakfast aroma.

The location and the tranquility.

The TV was not working for all the time we were there. The TV is old. They need to replace the TV with newer models. We can do without the TV at this place, but if they want to have TV it must match their standard which is high in our view.

There is a room rate discount if one books to attend a bridal ceremony. We were refused this discount although other members of the bridal party did get the discount.

The staff were exceptional; the room was well-appointed and spacious. It was cold, and an oil heater was provided. Breakfast was a truly South African affair, and with a large selection.

A bit out of the way in Muldersdrift, but close to Lanseria airport.

The room was heated on our arrival which was great as it was a very cold night. The room was cozy and clean. The bathroom area was great, I especially enjoyed the bath tub.

There were no slippers or robes provided, not sure if this is offered with the better room option but it would have been nice to be included. It would have been great if there was hot chocolate sachets with the tea and coffee.
