The rooms were clean, quiet, and secure, making me feel completely safe throughout my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. I had no concerns about my vehicle’s safety, which gave me peace of mind. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed every moment of my experience. The rooms also offered great privacy, adding to the overall comfort.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Purple Olive Guest House and had no dislikes whatsoever.

I love the location it is situated at. The breakfast was just okay. It’s a clean place with very friendly staff. A special thank you to Hazel who was amazing the entire time. I don’t know when she sleeps. She’s an all rounder, check in, breakfast, clean room, linen! It’s amazing! Love love love her!

Only thing I didn’t like was that we were not informed that check in closes at 20:00. We had to rush from Jhb as we just flew in from PE. Nonetheless Hazel was very accommodating and waited until we arrived with a marvellous smile. She didn’t look like someone who was on duty from 6am. Thank you to her again. she’s a star and a true asset to the establishment!

Room is big and bathroom is also comfortable with a big shower. There's coffee with a kettle and a fridge and a microwave, suitable for self catering. Quiet area and easy to get to the main roads.Ample parking and secure for your car.Staff was always friendly and on site. Good value for money, will stay there again if needed.

Maybe put some forks and knifes as there were only teaspoons. I suppose I could've asked but I had a plastic fork and knife and that was enough.

2nd time staying here. This time we spent time with family and friens for the rugby final and did not want to drive back home at that time of the night. Very good value for money. It was clean and the beds were good. Quiet area. Our room was spacious. We were 3 adults. They also have big sparkling slimming pool with a braai and oven, as well as a gas braai. You also have free WiFi and TV channels. If you want luxury, it is not the place for you. If you need budget accomodation this is a 10/10. Staff were also friendly.

Is was quite hot in the room. No aircon, but a fan. A bucket with a cloth, some soap and drying cloth to wash dishes would be nice. Rearrange the room to add a bedside table next to the single bed? But again, at the price these are really not deal breakers.

The bed mattress are not comfortable, the towels are very old and small,no remote you have to call for opening,so even if you are being followed would be in danger,resort must gave remote for their clients, and also you can't put 1 toilet paper roll in a room,that thing of calling for even toilet paper is not good.

The beds are really comfortable, everything was clean and well decorated. Bathrooms were clean and enough toiletpaper. The towels and coffee tea was well provided. We really enjoyed the tranquility and it was great staying over. We will definitely book again.

The microwave could not be used because it is so old the rust inside will cause sparks or make a noise and is not safe, so we ate our food cold.

Breakfast is not buffet type, so it was not served. We informed the staff about our early departure the night before but they only wanted to start preparing the breakfast when we were leaving.

The reception and dinning area could do with an upgrade. It looks old. No hangers to hang clothes. the heater couldn't be used as it was tripping the electricity. Something to do with the new solar system or so.

Rooms were great, although there are only cups for 2 people, and the room is mainly for 4 people, although with our party it was 1 adult, 2 children and a baby. Everything was comfortable and good. Thank you.

R100 for a visitor? Not overnight visitor, just a quick visit visitor. This was NEVER communicated and is quite honestly ridiculous!!!

I really loved the location and how responsive the hosts are .They were very friendly ,and respectful. The check-in times end at 8pm ,I failed to communicate on time that I would be late - when they called to check on me they understood the plight I was facing then waited for me to arrive , they came to check on me the next day for cleaning . Ohh ,and the shower worked perfect !
