Loved the location! All staff extrememly warm, welcoming, and helpful. The room size (executive) was large and spacious The shower!! Fantastic water pressure and it was huge! The rooftop bar was wonderful!

No real complaints - just suggestions considering they moved their ranking from a 4 to 5 star hotel the following should be included for the price being paid: breakfast second make up rooms in afternoon/evening or turn down service with chocolates free mini bar wine glasses or drinking glasses other than the coffee mugs

It's in an amazing location. My room had the perfect view of the Barcelona cathedral. The staff was helpful if you needed suggestions for dinner and places to go, and they were really kind. Free wi-fi. You can eat breakfast at their restaurant for added cost, or just choose a cafe nearby. If you are staying here, you have access to the rooftop, where you can enjoy the view, have a drink, and people-watch. Beds are extremely comfortable.

No full-body mirror in my room, which makes it hard to decide what to wear going out, but I made it work. Other than that, I had a great experience overall and would go back

Lamaro Hotel provided a wonderful base for our family trip to Barcelona. The location is unbeatable – we were steps away from the cathedral and countless family-friendly restaurants and cafes. Our toddler loved the lively atmosphere! The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend, especially for families.

Awesome location, right on the Plaza with the Cathedral. Great staff, very nice room, very quiet. Great breakfast. Parking nearby and for us was quite secure. A little pricey, but that is what is the cost for parking in a major city downtown.

If your driving, the street that Google Map brings you to is very small and looks more like a pedestrian path versus a street. When we arrived at the hotel, the perspective from the street is that you see nothing. We just stopped in the Taxi stopping place and I had to get out and walk around to see the front of the hotel, then all is well, but would be a good thing to know prior.

We stayed for 5 days the first 2 we had no air conditioning. Finally moved us to a new room on third day. Manager named Maria said we would be credited an allowance for the days we had no air conditioning. She never compensated or gave us an allowance still waiting for hotel to respond in some way. She basically ignored us when we checked out! My husband has asthma so was very uncomfortable for the first 2 days!

Great location within easy access to all main tourist attractions. Many within walking distance of the hotel. We stayed on the 3rd floor (room 324) which was a very quiet and spacious room. Lovely comfortable bed which ensured a fantastic nights sleep, fabulous shower and bath, toiletries etc. in the room. Staff are very helpful especially Jamie at reception, smiling and always willing to go the extra mile. breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. Rooftop bar with great views of the cathedral is a very nice added extra too! I would highly recommend this hotel

We did try the hotel restaurant once during our stay on a Friday evening assuming it would be as fabulous as the breakfast. However, the food was very disappointing. This is not to say the food is like this every evening we might have just been unlucky on that particular night. Other than that a great stay overall and would highly recommend this hotel!

Breakfast was excellent ! Stuff extreamly friendly. The food selection was quite good.

The terrace ( Top floor ) was not open during our stay and no one informed us about this in advance. It is a pity that payment for our stay was taken from us upon check-in at the hotel, and not upon check-out.

The hotel itself is in a prime location within the Gothic Quarter directly opposite the beautiful Barcelona Cathedral. We booked the Skyline suite on the 6th floor which had an ample sized balcony which contained a table and double sun lounger bed which directly overlooked the Cathedral. We sat out there early one morning on the loungers to watch the sunrise with our coffee and watch the city come to life Facilities in the room were very good , although the open bathroom/wash area with enclosed shower and toilet didn't really give much privacy - good job I was with my husband so it wasn't a major issue. The room was spacious, very clean with air conditioning and wash facilities contained luxury Bvlgari handwash and hand cream. The room also had a coffee machine with different coffee pods. Although our room was opposite the busy square by the cathedral, the hustle and bustle of people wasn't an issue as you couldn't hear anything once your door was shut, but we liked to go out on the balcony to watch everything going on. The Cathedral also chimed every 15 minutes for the time, but again, this wasn't an issue for us and didn't disrupt any sleep as it wasn't that loud. Breakfast was very good with a good variation of hot/cold food and juices/coffee/tea and pastries if you wanted to indulge. The hotel itself had a nice luxury feel to it and had a lovely large reception area. The Hotel also boasts a roof top terrace for drinks and tapas with good background music to chill to whilst enjoying the view of the city and Cathedral. If you use the hotel's outside restaurant you get a resident discount, but this doesn't apply to the roof top terrace. We went to eat at a Restaurant by the beach one night so we took a taxi which was about 10 minutes. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will certainly go back again when we come back to Barcelona.

There wasn't anything to fault really. My husband said he found the TV a bit hard to navigate round as it was done by pointing the remote at the TV like a cursor, but that was it and the TV didn't appear to work when we arrived in the room as I think it's connected to the internet, but we reported it and the issue was sorted out straight away for us.
