The location of the hotel is just one street off the Plaça de Espanya and very close to the Metro station. The room was an interior room so it was shielded from the noise of the street. The bed was firm but not so firm that it felt like sleeping on a wooden board.

The only thing missing from the room was a chair to sit on. While the room did have a cushioned alcove bench next to the window, it was not as comfortable to sit on as a chair would have been.

Good location, just 2 minutes from Espanya metro station, in Plaça d’Espanya, near the Arenas mall. Rooms are OK, although the bathroom location is a bit strange , it seems the building was originally a residential block converted into a hotel. Breakfast was good, with fresh orange juice, papaya, and pineapple, and good jamón serrano. The staff was polite and helpful. The wall decor with plant pictures and the furniture are both beautiful.

The price is exaggerated, it’s more in line with a five-star hotel, which this is not. The rooftop swimming pool is only about 10–15 x 2 meters, so you can’t really swim in it, but it’s acceptable given the circumstances. However, the pictures on Booking are somewhat misleading.

Stunning hotel with rooftop terrace and very friendly staff. Perfect location, the shopping centre is right outside the hotel and there's plenty of connections to airport, Montjuic, Ramblas, etc. The rooms were incredible, we stayed in one of the rooms with outdoor terrace which was lovely for morning coffee (although keep in mind the terrace is not private and upstairs neighbours can look down at you!) The staff was stellar for me on this trip, the reception staff helped a lot and the ladies working the kitchen and pool were SO SWEET!!

Given the price per night, I expected to have a proper coffee machine in the room, not the powder stuff. I recognise this is a nitpick and it did not take away from my experience at Ofelias :)

A cute little hotel in a generally good location and close to the metro, although a bit far from the city center. It was clean and overall in good condition. Breakfast was okay - nothing special and with rather limited selection.

The pool was very small and the few loungers on the terrace were occupied at least during the sunny hours. The extra charge for the private terrace was not worth it for us, as it only got a few hours of sun. Overall it was a bit noisy. Looking back, we would have preferred to book something closer to the city.

The breakfast was not included. You can get a nice breakfast outside the hotel for a fraction of the price.

Good location, close to restaurants and sites. Stayed in a ‘suite’ which was a good size for Europe hotel. Rather generous use of the term ‘suite’ but comfortable to stay in. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend if you want to stay in a smaller boutique hotel. The pool and terrace was small but would be a good spot in warmer months.

Only criticism is that the pool opens so late so makes it impossible to swim before going out for day!

Location and staff. Area is excellent - with easy access to most of what Barcelona has to offer. We walked everywhere but taxis plentiful; metro on doorstep and buses frequent. Great local bars and restaurants within 5-15 minutes walk. Staff could not have been more helpful from the minute we arrived to the minute we left from front desk (Pia and Alex) to housekeeping (Joyce).

There was nothing we did not like

Lovely clean, modern hotel which was designed well. Nice big rooms with a well stocked and affordably priced mini bar. Friendly staff, good breakfast with lots of options, good location just outside the hustle and bustle of the city with good transport links.

My only tiny criticisms were that the private terrace didn’t feel very ‘private’ as it was overlooked by the the other rooms and it didn’t get any sun in the day, so I didn’t end up using it. I also would have preferred a fresh coffee, instead of a Nespresso machine with breakfast - I guess this is just personal preference though!

The room was very comfortable. It was quite spacious and the bed was a nice size. The breakfast was very nice. English and continental breakfast. They serve a gorgeous fresh orange juice and a nice coffee. The best would be how soundproof the hotel is. We were there during the final between England and Spain and although we could hear Spain celebrating, it was still very quiet.

The main negatif would be the pool. It is really misleading and makes the hotel quite expensive. The pool's size is around 2m/8m. It's tiny and there were only 8 loungers for the entire hotel which meant not many chances to have a free one. Also, there were no parasoles so unless you want to get burnt, you can't stay very long. In the room, there are too many mirrors, especially the big just opposite the shower, but that's just me! lol The criteria for the hotel I wanted was with a pool, but I don't consider their pool to be acceptable.
