The hotel is located between three metro stops, we found the Espanya metro the most convenient. The metro is easy to use, we purchased a tourist card that gave us great value. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room was spacious. It's only a few minutes walk to Places de Espanya where there is plenty of shopping with the Bull fighting stadium converted to a modern shopping centre along with restaurants and bars. The area was quiet at night. It's four blocks from the main railway station Sants. The hop on hop off bus stop is two minutes walk away. We highly recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful stay. We came off a cruise and decided to stay in Barcelona for a few days. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage early. As this was also our honeymoon, they gave us complimentary drinks in our room. The hotel itself was very clean, always smelt nice, and the rooms itself were perfect. The location was also great, too. I'd highly recommend Pestana Arena. Fantastic hotel. Thank you so much to all the staff for making us so welcome and a great experience. We hope to stay again one day.

The hotel is conveniently located by the Plaza España which is reachable by bus from airport in 20 mins. The room was clean. Air con works great. Would stay again as location suits me well & price was ok!

The hotel doesn't really have a 4 star feel as you walk in. Im the rooms, although the fixtures & fittings are going for a luxury look, to me the overall look was kind of grubby, even though it was clean. TV wasn't working so had to wait for a technician to come & fix that. Shower is walk in and protected by a large shower curtain - be careful where shower head is pointing as I almost flooded the bathroom.

The location is perfect. We regularly travel by train to Barcelona (from France), and leave Barcelona by an international flight the next day. The Pestana Arena is a short walk from Barcelona Sants Estacio, and an even shorter walk to the AeroBus stop at the Placa Espana. Good restaurants and coffee shops are plentiful in this location.

Our room faced a busy street, and being on the third floor, we could hear cars and motorbikes, and people talking loudly all night, making sleep somewhat difficult.

The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious with lots of storage options. There was a fridge and safe which was convenient. The location was good because it was close to the main Barcelona Sants train station which you can take to go to the airport. It was also close to so many good restaurants, cafes and bars. There is a shopping mall 6 minutes away too! Additionally we wanted to stay somewhere that was not too touristy and hectic, so we felt this location was great! It quiet most nights and the soundproofing seems good. Occasionally we would hear the traffic outside, but because we were facing the side street it was not often! The staff were very friendly and helpful and they made us feel welcomed.

Just some small things but worth mentioning: - There was no USB sockets in the room which is not a big deal because we had adapters. - They did not have shaver sockets in the bathroom. - The ironing board was not great, it was small and awkward to use. - The bathroom light switches on a few other lights in the room so it is not set up for comfort if you are staying as a couple but if you are a solo traveller it should be ok. We found ourselves woken up if one of us has to use it in the middle of the night. - The TV remote was a bit confusing at first but it’s not a big deal because we didn’t need the TV much. - The room style was a bit outdated but it was comfortable so it did not matter much to us.

The hotel location was excellent, which is walking distance to two different metro line stations (Hostafrancs and Tarragona) and the train station (Barcelona Sants). It allowed us to easily go to the tourist spots. The area is quiet but there are nearby cafe and restaurants where you can dine. The room was decent in size and provides the usual amenities. The room rates are quite reasonable and the staff are accommodating.

We wished they could have an earlier schedule for breakfast. Since we only stayed in Barcelona for few days, our tour starts early so we weren’t able to have our breakfast.

The location (a lot of metro stations around), breakfast was nice, staff was very friendly. Not sure if it's standard, but they provided us with an iron and ironing table as per our request since we were attending an event in Barcelona, so much appreciated.

-The fact that there were no tea bags and boiler in the room(only coffee maker). The boiler was provided when we requested it, though. However, this is just a suggestion to add as complimentary in the room as well. -Also, I would suggest providing the bottle of water everyday when the room is cleaned(i provided this suggestion to multiple hotels). - the lights were a bit wierd in the room, in the sense that you could not only turn on the lights in the bathroom(for example) so if you wanted to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night you could use either the torch of your phone or wake the other person in the room. Basically, you could either turn all the lights in the room on or off at the same time, which was inconvinient.

Pestana is always our first choice of hotel in Barcelona. The location is excellent. Near different subway stations and a big shopping mall. There’s also a good restaurant around the corner.

I’m pretty sure I’ve missed placed a charger and when asked the staff for help their answer was just “go check yourself”… Then this last time when we had only one night stay, we had zero toiletries and the staff was reluctant to give us any. We also didn’t have a coffee machine…

The room is very clean, bed, shower, bath, and shampoo, all meet (above) my expectations.

The breakfast is only mediocre, I am not sure if it is worth 12 euros per person. We asked the hotel to call a taxi for us to go to the airport, and the hotel nicely did. However, I hoped that the hotel would inform us that it would cost about 10 euro more if they ordered the taxi for us, because the taxi started counting money when they answered the calls, and not when they picked us up.

Clean and comfortable hotel in a rather residential and quiet area. Key points: - Big bed and a lot of closet space - Nice and helpful staff. We had an issue with the lights and they called the technician and fixed it right away - Very good location close to metro stations and bus stops
