The hotel is in an ideal (quiet!) location between the old city walls and the Tormes river - but still within a 10 minute walk to reach the Plaza Mayor and other historic venues. Rooms were very comfortable, WiFi worked like a charm, and the staff were welcoming and helpful whenever we needed some advice or info. We found it excellent value for money, and will be happy to return in future.

Not a complaint, but car parking nearby can be tricky - we happily avoided getting a penalty or ticket, but had to leave our car in a few "unauthorised" locations!

The location was excellent, the room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Paul at reception when we checked in was friendly, helpful and allowed us to check in early. If you are driving, parking was convenient around the corner. It is public parking but you get a 20% discount for staying at the Hotel. Salamanca is a beautiful town to discover and staying at the Hotel Casino made it very easy because of its location. Very pleasant experience. We stayed in 14 different hotels in Spain and Portugal and this place ranked up in the top 2. Nice breakfast was served daily to fuel up a day of sightseeing.

Location by the river was wonderful for the peace and quiet—something you just won’t get right in the center. Lovely staff!

I don’t like paying for expensive giant buffet breakfasts, but that’s all that’s on offer, along with water for the mini-fridge. No room service or anything, just a couple sad looking bars nearby. So, a fuller mini-fridge, water kettle to at least make tea or coffee or a hotel bar would be nice. Bed wasn’t awful but wasn’t all that great—seems that you gotta go 5 star to get a decent bed and bedding.

The hotel was fabulous - very luxurious and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was wonderful - large, airy, bright and very clean. We had a balcony with comfortable lounging chairs to use with a fab view over the city. The beds were really comfortable and large and the bathroom was spacious as well with a large "Texas" style powerful shower. The room was much better than we'd expected - especially the size. It had almost everything we wanted and decorated to a very high specification. We really enjoyed our stay - I only wish it had been longer!!!!

The only thing we were disappointed in was the room didn't have tea/coffee making facility with a kettle! We even asked if there were any kettles available we could use and was told there were not. We'd been travelling all day and would have enjoyed a cup of tea in our room - we always travel with cups/tea/spoons/milk but no kettle. This would have made our stay 10/10 if there had been tea/coffee making facilities, but there was not.

Location was great, short distance to the downtown. Employees and cleaning did a great job. Hotel was clean and organized

Unfortunately our room did only have a small window. The window was so small and in the upper corner, that it was not possible to see anything outside. The hotel was not booked out, so they could have offered a different room.

Everything about this property was top-rate, from the accommodations to the service.

Just one thing: When I was checking out, I was asked to pay many Euros more. But I had paid for my second night in cash, about an hour after my original check-in. Good thing I kept that receipt. Showing it gained me the appropriate pass, an apology, and an excuse that it had been a “computer error.” OK. Otherwise, I loved this place.

Hotel Hispedium…is clean and comfortable. I gave it a 9 b/c there were a couple of flies in my room- I think the cleaning woman would open the windows when cleans the windows had no screens. Also,I prefer the washable bed coverlet that the Marriott hotels use as opposed to a bedspread, that might not be washed as often. The location is good but it is a good uphill walk to the town center. The staff is friendly and the $10.00 breakfast buffet was very good.

For the price not much.

we wanted a hotel that didn’t require us to navigate the streets of the old city and tight parking This hotel was perfect in that respect. Easy to get to and parking in the nearby public lot was easy. It was quiet ,being outside the City center .A good thing since Salamanca is a college town. The staff were super friendly and helpful . We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Salamanca.

the drawback was that it did require a steep walk into the city-so if you like popping in and out of your hotel this might not be the best location. We made two trips into town in the day we were here and we are seniors. You are rewarded with a great view of the cathedral for your efforts.

The location was excellent for looking around the Old City. Also very near a running track which we made use of on a morning before heading out to see the sights. Hotel was perfect, quiet, very clean & the reception staff very friendly & helpful. Thank you all for a lovely stay. Regards Sue & John Richardson

Comfortable bed in a good-sized room, great bathroom, the breakfast was nice. The hotel was in an excellent location within walking distance of all the major sights in Salamanca. Nearby underground parking that was a couple of blocks away.

The hotel was a little bit dark and the breakfast room was small.
