The location was excellent, within a short walking distance to every major attraction in the city centre, the room was large and equipped with everything one needs, and the bed was comfortable

I loved the interactions with the staff at the reception, they were nice, kind and helpful, but there is one thing I did not particularly like. So on one of the days I had left my room and left the do not disturb sign on the door nob because I didn't need anything since I was leaving in less than 24 hours. When I returned, I noticed the cleaning lady had entered the room and even removed some empty water bottles I was going to reuse for my upcoming trip. It is a very minor detail, but why go in when I have asked you not to, and what if I would have been taking a shower when she entered? It would have been odd. I know she was trying to be useful, but just respect people's privacy.

Caty the receptionist from Santander introduced us to the hotel options and timings. Very friendly, very efficient. Clean, comfortable room 213, which was a decent size, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was simple though adequate and the location of the hotel was superb, right in the centre, whicj was a boon when we were visiting in a hugely hot June 25. Got to hot sightseeing? 5 mins and you're back at the hotel for an ACd break. Car parking underground and secure is very tight, not impossible, just needs care and a reasonable ripening circle. Our VW Golf Estate has no issues. There were Merc C class, Nissan QasQai (?) were down there in spaces. Height ĺimit says 1.85m I think, but bar a few spaces, this wasn't an issue anywhere, easily 2.1m. - I had a roof box not issue, just be aware. Lastly, ramp angles and car grounding can be an issue in my car as relatively low. BUT taken slowly, that's wasn't any. Hotel to be recommended.

Nothing to not like.

The hotel was perfect for my stay in Salamanca! Location: It's right behind the main attraction of Plaza de Mayor. I walked to it from the bus station which took about 20mins. The reception was lovely and quiet and I was checked in with ease and shown my room. The room was on ground floor and had a window looking out onto an alleyway which meant it was quiet at night. I was able to open the windows and enjoy the space. The room itself was clean and had everything you need. The bathroom was clean and they provided shower gel, shampoo etc. Other facilities: If you get the lift up to the top floor there's a little roof terrace. Or From reception, go down two floors and you'll find the breakfast area. It's a buffet breakfast with hot food like eggs, bacon, toast etc. and a selection of cereals, yoghurts, juices, fresh fruit. Taxi: There's a taxi rank very close to the hotel on the other side of the market building. I got the taxi to the train station which cost under €5 Overall I loved my stay here and I would definitely choose to stay here again

Very good breakfast. Parking was available under the hotel. This property is in city center so you are right in the middle of much to do. The staff were extremely helpful.

Noisy hotel. Windows were old single pain glass with wood shutters. While the building was quite old, it was well kept. This is a college town and we stayed there Saturday and Sunday. Some rain dampened Sunday night festivities but the warm Saturday night revelry was impressive! This is not to imply negativity as most kids were quite respectful. They sang and carried on until sunrise! It was louder at 4:30 am than it was at midnight. We were aware of this fact when we booked. Ahh, to be young again…lol Hotel directions could be better to find underground parking.

Walls are thin so can hear neighbours talking etc Can always use a kettle and iron Wifi was weak I needed to do some work but it kept cutting out Not a real fridge despite having coke and water in it- it’s more of a wine fridge with no power so didn’t keep my water cold Not hotels fault but there is a garage access and door out the back separate property from hotel- which squeaks and beeps every few minutes as people come and go

This hotel is well located, clean, and well priced. The superior rooms are spacious and some even have a few interesting characteristics to them. The bathrooms were super, super clean and the toiletries were nice. We took breakfast at the hotel which was pleasant but would just venture out to the plaza next time. The parking is not as scary as other reviews suggested, we saw plenty of small SUVs parked there. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Salamanca.

Some of the rooms face the marketplace and could be noisy if you are unlucky with large events. Note that 2 beds might be 2 single beds but they pushed together and share 1 sheet and blanket.

I travel with some friends to visit the city and the new Pub in town, The Irish Corner (totally recommended!) We were travelling by car and we booked a parking space with the hotel, the staff was super nice to let us know the size and location of the parking, as some of us have a big car and it was useful to know as it did not fit. On arrival, earlier than check in time, the staff was really friendly, and the room was ready a little bit earlier than check in time, which was nice! (Thank you!) The room was big and comfortable and it had all the basics. We didn't have breakfast. Overall great hotel, in the city centre with easy reach to all key attractions of the city and really friendly staff.

The Hotel el is in the heart of the city and very close to all of the major sites. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and check in was quick and efficient. The room We had was very big with wonderful views over the square and the market building with its beautiful stained glass windows. The room itself was very clean and the bed was comfortable The food at hreakfast was good quality with a good Variety of things on offer. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to everyone.

If I am being very picky, then the coffee at breakfast needs to be improved. It was very weak and not very good. But this in no way spoiled our stay at the hotel

One of the best rooms ever - we loved our stay and wished it had been longer than just one night! Room was big and spacious with large comfortable bed; good lighting; minibar/fridge; tea/coffee-making facilities; view of beautiful colourful windows of municipal market opposite and square below; great location; friendly staff; underground parking. Almost perfect!

Bathroom was a bit small in comparison with room.

The property was fine. However when I paid I was basically forced to accept the euro pound conversion rate plus a 5% fee. I complained but was told that was how it was and it was normal. I disagree. So it added to my cost. Luckily only one night but I would have been really cross if I had stayed longer with note costs.
