The place has style - Elegant, solid, and calming. Food? Always available. Convenient. Not haute cuisine, but if you're not expecting Michelin stars to descend on a remote volcanic island, you’ll be just fine. I went solo on a windsurfing trip, and the hotel ticked all my boxes: comfy, clean, calm, and with enough decent food to keep me upright on a board for hours. Now, to those legendary one-star reviews floating around out there... let’s address a few of the greatest hits: "It's remote and there's nothing to do." Well, yes. It's called Fuerteventura, not Ibiza-on-Steroids. The whole charm of the island is its beautiful remoteness. It’s like Sahara, but with showers, WiFi, and a very decent roads. The hotel knows it’s not in the middle of a bustling metropolis and does its best: activities, live music, a decent disco, and electric scooters to zip around Costa Calma like you're in a PG-rated action movie. Want more? Rent a car, discover moon-like landscapes, and embrace the fact that “nothing to do” is actually code for “peace and quiet.” "The food is bland / not enough salt / not to my taste." Right. So it's not a 5-star restaurant in Madrid or Rome –I found the meals quite decent, balanced, and flavourful enough that I didn’t have to drown them in mystery sauces. And if your palate is that “refined”, maybe use a salt shaker? "Staff are rude / not nice" That was not what I experienced. Treat people with respect and you get same back. Not a single negative experience in my 7 days! Perhaps not everyone shares my holiday-fuelled enthusiasm, but for the basic pay the staff at the hotel did a fantastic job and my causal "buenas" and "gracias" always went a long way. "Too expensive for what it is." Are we... on the same continent? For €120 a day (sea-view room in June), two people get a 3-course meal, amazing settings and the entertanement... wake up!

Noise at times but it's a hotel, not a chalet in the Alps.

The food. No taste food, no quality food. Restaurant service very slow. There weren't clean tables to seat in any day that we stayed. Looked like that they had short staff to serve and place tables. We stayed stand with food in or hands waiting for a clean table. There weren't forks, spoons and mugs. We had to wait for a long time for it to start to eat. The coffee machine had broken and we hadn't had coffee to drink. We could see the restaurant staff very stressed and under pressure. Very bad restaurant management and the taste of food could be improved. There wasn't amenities in my room. No shampoo and conditioner, no water and drinks in the frigobar.

For those, who travels with families, it’s a great place! There are some comments about food and etc. I believe it was written by competitors, because food was very good and there were always lot of options. Pool is nice for babies, area is clean, weather is amazing. Don’t focus on bad comments, we were afraid about food, but hôtel exceeded our expectations!

The only comment is about sunbeds. Yes, there are plenty of them, but a lot people reserve them with towels and stuff doesn’t stop them. So you might struggle with finding a good place.

The hotel is lovely and the building is amazing. Our suite was also lovely and very clean. The balcony had a lovely view over the Atlantic. The hotel is having building work done but this didn’t impact on our stay in fact having seen the pictures of what the work will look like with new pool, the finished article will look truly amazing. The pools as they are are lovely and the grounds are very well kept. The breakfast was ok and as expected for all inclusive. We didn’t opt for mall inclusive dinner so I’m not sure what that was like as we perfected the option of eating other places locally. The location is great but it does need a car to get to ideally.

The view from both of our rooms was fantastic. The entire staff was nice and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was large and extensive. At dinner there was a huge buffet, different dishes every evening. There were also many dishes for vegans and vegetarians, which were very tasty. The gardens and pool were super tidy and well maintained

Complaining at the highest level, but some things could be done better: - Felt glides on the chairs would make less noise when moving them around - The evening program was not that great - Without a car you're almost at a loss, next town is a 15min walk away - Be sure to book half board, it's worth it - During the day from 7:30 construction noise in the beach area - The hotel beach is not very nice - Some guests do not have good manners

Beautiful hotel in Costa Calma overlooking the sea. The decor of this hotel is amazing. Staff very professional. Indoor pool and spa area are beautiful, also outdoor infinity pool, Stunning gardens, I have not seen Hotel grounds as good as that before. Food in the restaurant buffet is very high standard and never seemed overcrowded.

No complaints with the hotel, but there is nothing much to do in Costa Calma itself, which is at least a 20 min walk from the hotel so its better to hire a car to see the beautiful surrounding areas.

The whole place was intelligently designed, lovely plants throughput, well maintained, nice ambience with jazz in the lobby. Enjoyed the pool. Nice room, view, decent quality pillows, bedding, room service, etc... Several different beach options not too far away.

We didn’t realise there was no beach at the hotel. Don't know how we missed that minor fact! Only a 15 min walk but a bit of a shock. Looks like they are building access to the sea in front of the hotel atm so assume will be finished later this year.

I was really disappointed by the cost of basic amenities at the hotel. For example, a regular bottle of still water was a whopping €2.15 when you wanted water for your dinner. To put that in perspective, that's the equivalent of three small glasses of wine! I find it ridiculous that such a basic necessity is marked up so exorbitantly. It really left a sour taste in my mouth, especially since there were no alternative options readily available.

I loved everything about this place; it’s a wonderful place to stay. We arrived late, but we were still able to have dinner. Although the restaurant was closed, they thoughtfully left food for us. The grounds are so lush and green, with plenty of beautiful flowers. Truly a lovely experience!

The hotel does not have its own beach, and getting there from the airport can be challenging. The taxi fare is £160, and we waited two hours for a direct bus. It would be a great improvement if the hotel could offer an airport transfer service.

We very liked pool and music at the dinner. There was always a place for park a car and it's close to main road on Island. Nice place for people who wanting to have all inclusive experiance close to some city. Very good animation prepered by staff.

Lot of people, too much during dinner and breakfest. Place is a littel bit to colonial for us and have 90s vibes.
