No fuss check-in and check-out. We stayed in apartment 41 on 4th floor, reached by lift from the ground floor. Well eqipped and very roomy apartment. The balcony is very spacious with direct view of the ocean and catches the sun from around 11:00 until sunset. The location is great, with many very good bars, restaurants and supermarkets close by.

Balcony was overlooked by the solarium of adjacent apartment block, although we were not unduly bothered by this. No air con, but was not needed on this occasion.

The location is unreal. You're literally on the beach. Be warned though, even at night, there is a little noise from the promenade, but we slept well, it's not too noticeable. We had a ground floor unit with the patio on the promenade, and loved it. It's like having your own promenade table! It's not super private, but that's fine. The beach outside the unit is fantastic, if the weather is good, you're steps from the sand. Tip:

We really missed having a clothes washer. We'd also stayed in Albufeira, Funchal and Lisbon and had washers and didn't know how much we'd miss one until we didn't have one. That said, there is a laundry close by, it's just not as nice as having it in your unit.

Great location, right on the walkway along the coast. Perfect to enjoy the evening on the balcony with the ocean view. Also close to the city beaches, restaurants and shops. And walking distance to Santa Catalina bus station.

At least the apartment we had got very little sun on the balcony. Could be good or bad depending on the season. Also the proximity to the ocean means it is quite noisy at night, so better to close the balcony door to get a decent sleep. Apartment itself was quite basic with some small annoying things like water leaking through shower door or microwave not aligned in its cabinet, so it is hard to use, or smart TV not connecting to the Internet since WiFi requires to input a password in the captive portal.

Excellent location very close to the promenade and beach. Close to shops and restaurants. Very clean apartment with room service on certain days. Toilet rolls and kitchen linen, also towels provided and replenished. Easy to gain access to the apartment via a key pad.

My wife found the bed very hard so not comfortable, although I didn't find this was a problem. TV had very limited channels. A few very basic kitchen items like salt, oil would have been welcome. We didn't have a balcony overlooking the promenade, just a side street although did have a restricted view of the beach so were grateful that there was a communal balcony on the 5th floor. A pity that this was locked from early evening.

Great location Simple but comfortable room with separate kitchen, sitting area and small balcony to watch the world go by. Very busy promenade all day long so plenty to watch. Baggage storage for later flights home after checking out. Loved sleeping with the sound of the waves, right on the sea front. Really comfy beds and lovely pillows.

Shower very small and bracket broken so hand held only. Still functional though. No oven in kitchen but that is clear on the booking details and it didn't bother us. Cleaning schedule erratic , but again very good when/ if they came. As is usual in Spain, single beds. We would stay again, above comments to help others consider pros and cons only.

The location right bight the sea is incredible, waking up to the sound of the waves 🌊 The facilities in the Apartamentos were great, modern, clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom & shower were good and the kitchen really had equipment and appliances so you could make a home-made meal and enjoy on the terrace. We enjoyed the terrace a lot! We would certainly come here again, maybe ask for an apartment at higher level which seem to have bigger terraces and are not so close to the promenade and the noice people make .

Nothing to dislike really

The location was excellent right at the beach. We had everything we needed in a short walking distance.Theres fridge toaster coffee maker which we had a good use of. The downside is definately noise if u light sleeper you might be in trouble to sleep at all.

Location excellent. View from large terrace balcony (4th floor) with loungers, table, & chairs was just sea, sky and mountains , quiet, although busy Canteras paseo was below us. Well equipped kitchenette.(even had egg cups)!Good ice cream at Pena Vieja, good coffee at bakery, and 2 supermarkets all close by. Airport bus, Santa Catalina, and Central market, Plaza Espana, 12 mins walk. We enjoyed meals at La Pena, near kneeling fisherman statue and at Tasca Galileo in Calle Galileo. Easy walk to no 12 bus , Plaza Catalina to old town. Reception friendly and helpful

Not luxurious or picturesque. The bathroom was small. But the room was light, fairly spacious and functional. We couldn’t get English channels on the small tv. but none of this mattered as we had a jolly good time and enjoyed the beach and the old town with its excellent museums. Also the Castillo de la Luz and Parque Doramas folk dancing

Everything about our holiday was excellent apart from a small issue with the hot water. That aside it was excellent. Apartmentos Maype Canteras is in a prime position for reaching everything.

We had a small issue with our hot water supply running cold halfway through our shower (an issue when shaving).

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and kind, the cleaning was of high quality, and the location was very convenient. There are many restaurants, shops, beaches, and bus stops nearby. It’s also perfect for those who love surfing – there are surf schools close by. We highly recommend it!
