I absolutely loved my stay! The room was very cozy and the atmosphere in the entire place felt warm and welcoming. The staff were kind, responsive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location was incredibly convenient — just a 5-minute walk to the ocean! One of the most pleasant surprises was a little corner on the ground floor where guests could borrow things for free: beach towels, sunscreen, after-sun lotion, hiking gear, a beach umbrella, and even surfboards. It was such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was also fantastic — very well equipped with everything you could possibly need: plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and even a great selection of spices for cooking.

The only minor downside was that the building itself felt a bit old and there were some small imperfections in the room, but nothing that really affected our stay. Also, there’s a nightclub next to the hostel that plays music at night — it didn’t bother us, but for light sleepers it might be a bit noisy.

The room had everything we needed: all the essentials were there, and the bed was super comfortable. The terrace was perfect for relaxing, and it was well equipped with a drying rack and a small kitchenette for cooking. A really cozy and functional stay!

This isn’t a problem with the property itself, but something to keep in mind about Las Palmas: parking is a nightmare. If you're renting a car, you’ll likely have to pay for a spot in a nearby garage, which can be chaotic and not very cheap. It would have been really helpful to be informed about this in advance. Again, not the host’s fault, just a heads-up for future guests.

The location was great, in the city center, close to the beach and not too far from the ferries harbor. The place is very clean and the outdoor kitchen on the rooftop is great ! We felt really good there and the value for money is very good for las palmas.

The room was quite small and not well ventilated. Since there was a shower in the room, it would have been great to have a natural ventilation to get the humidity out. We had the window open all day long and it was still suuper hot inside the room.

I can’t begin to explain the compassion cactus host had. I was stuck in the airport for 20 hours during the national power outage and not only did they take care of the night I missed, they offered an extra night. The room was beautiful and clean. Check in was simple as can be. The location is perfection and steps to the water and the amount of character this place has is amazing. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you cactus host. You are amazing! I hope to stay again.

I can't comment on breakfast, as I chose to eat out .I've stayed at cactus a few times ,so I obviously like it .I like the fresh smell of laundry, when you enter the property and it's got every appliance to be clean and cook your own food .Location is also very good ,a 3 minute walk to bus station and plenty of bars and restaurants very close by

There isn't anything I didn't like ,it's great value for money

My family stayed here last week, we were in Las Palmas for my nephews wedding and we had the best time!...Suites are lovely and well worth the money. If I'm honest one of the double rooms on ground floor was a bit small but we managed. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean. The kitchens were well stocked and the rooftop area was lovely for us all to be together Xx

The hostel is really nice and the owners really cared about every detail. Everything is designed. Nice rooftop terrace is comfy and pleasant.

Sometimes the design goes against function. Old doors from rooms are not filtering noise from the coridor and other rooms, the curtains cannot be drawn because of the wooden sticks instead of normal curtains... But these are details...

Convenient location close to the beach, whimsical decorations, facilities were spotless. Big roof terrace and free beach gear to borrow though didn’t get to use much of either with one night’s stay. Not social, but staff seemed friendly.

There was almost no natural light in the room,?just one tiny window high up. The shower in the room was convenient but also made the room extremely humid, and I didn’t get much sleep as a result. No space to move around and nowhere to sit in the room, unlike what’s pictured.

The communal bathroom and WC were really clean and so was the kitchen. There were cleaners on hand to maintain the cleanliness regularly, which was positive. My room was also clean and smelt fresh and the shower worked really well. It was a peaceful stay and most of the guests were quiet and considerate, so no interrupted sleep! This was the first time I stayed in a hostel and it exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend.

A foldable desk would be helpful and maybe the option of brighter lighting.

Really cool, tiki style ho(s)tel. All of the rooms are private with a private bathroom, but you get the setup and perks of a social hostel. There's a rooftop, additional activities, common spaces, etc. Chill, fun and cozy vibe.

I dont think their reception works 24/7, and also, they were a bit slow to respond when messaging them on booking.com. Other than that, everything was great. The first thing i guess wasn't that big of a deal either, since they got our room ready for a slightly earlier check-in as soon as we showed up. That was cool.
