The location was great, in the city center, close to the beach and not too far from the ferries harbor. The place is very clean and the outdoor kitchen on the rooftop is great ! We felt really good there and the value for money is very good for las palmas.

The room was quite small and not well ventilated. Since there was a shower in the room, it would have been great to have a natural ventilation to get the humidity out. We had the window open all day long and it was still suuper hot inside the room.

The hostel is really nice and the owners really cared about every detail. Everything is designed. Nice rooftop terrace is comfy and pleasant.

Sometimes the design goes against function. Old doors from rooms are not filtering noise from the coridor and other rooms, the curtains cannot be drawn because of the wooden sticks instead of normal curtains... But these are details...

My family stayed here last week, we were in Las Palmas for my nephews wedding and we had the best time!...Suites are lovely and well worth the money. If I'm honest one of the double rooms on ground floor was a bit small but we managed. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean. The kitchens were well stocked and the rooftop area was lovely for us all to be together Xx

Convenient location close to the beach, whimsical decorations, facilities were spotless. Big roof terrace and free beach gear to borrow though didn’t get to use much of either with one night’s stay. Not social, but staff seemed friendly.

There was almost no natural light in the room,?just one tiny window high up. The shower in the room was convenient but also made the room extremely humid, and I didn’t get much sleep as a result. No space to move around and nowhere to sit in the room, unlike what’s pictured.

The communal bathroom and WC were really clean and so was the kitchen. There were cleaners on hand to maintain the cleanliness regularly, which was positive. My room was also clean and smelt fresh and the shower worked really well. It was a peaceful stay and most of the guests were quiet and considerate, so no interrupted sleep! This was the first time I stayed in a hostel and it exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend.

A foldable desk would be helpful and maybe the option of brighter lighting.

Really cool, tiki style ho(s)tel. All of the rooms are private with a private bathroom, but you get the setup and perks of a social hostel. There's a rooftop, additional activities, common spaces, etc. Chill, fun and cozy vibe.

I dont think their reception works 24/7, and also, they were a bit slow to respond when messaging them on booking.com. Other than that, everything was great. The first thing i guess wasn't that big of a deal either, since they got our room ready for a slightly earlier check-in as soon as we showed up. That was cool.

My second year staying at Cactus Host. Ideal for independent travellers and also as a solo traveller it is nice to have the opportunity to meet others on the roof terrace for a chat whilst cooking in the communal kitchen etc. Good central location, perfect for the beach and also as a base for excursions and exploring further afield. Nice memory foam mattress for a comfortable sleep. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff.

Whilst the traditional tiles and doors are really beautiful there is not much soundproofing between rooms.

Great communication without meeting,so easy check-in( Whatsapp). Room was clean,simple. Comfortable big bed. Toilet and shower clean and happy it was close to my room. Towels clean.

Didn't have table or chair to put some stuff. Socket wasn't close to bed,so charge phone wasn't comfortable. In night couldn't sleep because can hear loud music from club or bar what's somewhere around.

The property is in a very convenient location halfway between Santa Catalina Bus Station and Las Canteras beach. The price was very reasonable. The property has the feel and amenities of a youth hostel yet the quality and comfort of a hotel as well as the privacy. The girl at reception, Carolina, was lovely

A cute place with a nice design in the center of Las Palmas very close to the beach. The bed was comfortable, rooms and communal spaces are of a great taste and design. There is also a nice terrace where I could cook and also wash my clothes which is a great add on. The receptionist is a pure sweetheart. I recommend
