An excellent hotel in a fantastic location. We were heading off on a cruise the next morning and the Catalina is superbly placed with a taxi rank opposite, but we just walked as it wasn’t even 800m away. Great for a stroll along Playa Canteras just 2 minutes away with its lovely promenade and many restaurants. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable - loved the automatic curtains - with a well equipped shower room. Beautiful roof terrace and bar on the top floor where we had a very nice Al fresco breakfast too. Steffanie at reception is wonderful - very helpful, friendly and accommodating by looking after our bags after check out. Will definitely stay again.

There was absolutely nothing I can think of.

The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes from a very nice beach, as well as their famous oceanarium. The room has almost all the necessary things, including A/C, TV, etc. The hotel also has a very nice rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy their great breakfasts or hang out in the evenings. Also, Catalina Hotel contributes a lot of efforts to their sustainability, which is great. For example, when you open the window or the balcony, the A/C turns off so that you don't waste electricity.

Their fridges are not fridges per se, but, according to their staff, "temperature keepers". However, they do not keep the temperature, and none of our drinks were cold, even though when we put them there, they were really cold. So if you're planning to buy some drinks or food that needs to remain cold, you won't have that option. Some people have shared in their reviews that they couldn't sleep due to the noise outside - we slept just fine as we did not hear any noise. So in general, apart from the useless fridges, we really enjoyed our stay.

The location is perfect - everything you need is within walking distance: restaurants, small shops, beach, bus station (number 60 goes from the airport), museums (aquarium and technology museum). Rooms are beautiful and clean, there is a smart system which I loved. Breakfast is served on a beautiful roof top where we spent a lot of time - eating and having that morning coffee. Breakfast is delicious and the coffee is great. Staff is really friendly and helpful. If you want the full roof top experience I highly recommend to use the jaccuzzi. You can use it every day for 1 hour with a time reservation on the reception desk!

The staff was amazing and friendly. The rooftop bar was the best place to hang out and work from in the evenings. The location is 4mins away from the beach and close to all the restaurants and bars. There is a taxi rank close to the hotel too if you want to travel the city by taxi. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard and had a japanese toilet which was a life changer. We had a fridge in our room to store bottles of water and kept them very cold. Will definitely consider this hotel again if I were to ever return to Las Palmas.

I had breakfast one day the buffet style food was ok. The bakery stuff was decent and the omlette that was prepared by the chefs was great however due to lack of people getting breakfast too me isn't worth the 10 Euros rather have a menu of choice to then pay 10 Euros.

Lovely smaller hotel near the both the city center and Las Canteras beach. The room was clean, and with comfortable beds, automatic curtains, and a lovely bathroom (with a toilet that was able to do a lot of things 😊). As small fridge, that could keep drink at a steady temperature, but not able to cool it down. The rooftop terrace was also nice, although it was a bit windy when we were there. The "fitness area" is quite limited, but we did not use it, so no issue for us. The hotel is ideal for a shorter stay in Las Palmas, where your purpose is to spend time in the city (more than just relax on a sunbeds).

The service is excellent and the rooms are clean. Breakfast was a very pleasant experience, with a wide choice of food. The hotel was very well located, with nice lounge areas on different floors and of course a roof terrace.

I wanted to use the hot tub on the roof terrace. Unfortunately, the owner was celebrating his holidays on 25 December 2024 and had booked the whole terrace for himself. I would understand, but after a few days of hiking, I decided to spend my holidays in this hotel because of the relaxation facilities on the rooftop. It's a pity it was like that then.

An unassuming street level entrance hides a fabulous hotel. The location is great - so close to the beach, an easy stroll to the shops, and surrounded by bars and restaurants. Bus terminal is close but you cannot hear it, making easy access to other parts of the city and island. My room was a good size, a little dark but really peaceful, which was what I had asked for. The roof terrace had all day sunshine and the vending machine sold all sorts of food, snacks and drinks. As a solo traveller I felt very comfortable here

Nothing, it was all good

The roof top is very nice both for work and for having fun. It has a good view over the square and nice round tables where groups can sit and have a chat or work together. The toilets are also very nice (Japanese style). When someone told me about it at first I thought they were probably confusing with the other Catalina hotel that is 5 stars but it was a pleasant surprise that it was actually this one that had those toilets.

At nights sometimes you can hear noise from the square and that is alright by me but one evening we were sitting on the roof top, a group of people and the guard thought it was us who were causing the noise and it was a bit uncomfortable feeling...

Perfect location, in the middle of a beatiful park, close to the beach, restaurants, shops, port. Although it is in the city center, rooms are quiet, not loud. Breakfast is also very good.

Checkin time is from 15:00. We arrived at around 14:30 when the receptionist informed us that our room is not clean yet and we needed to wait by approx.16:00-16:30. It was an issue for us because we travelled all day long and we arrived with my little son, we were tired and we would have been happy if the room was clean by 15:00

Hotel is amazing in all senses: - location is top! 5 mins to the beach and plenty of good places to eat around - room is exceptional: everything is new and clean. Bathroom is a masterpiece of technology - stuff is super friendly and happy to help with advice or any requests - barmen are great. We asked for opening the bottle of wine for us and ice bucket - all was done in very friendly manner - breakfasts are good, I fell in love with croissants - jakuzzi on the terrace helped to relax every evening - cleaning - very fast and very thorough This is honestly the best hotel I ever stayed in! I can understand the rating it has and super happy I was able to convince my friend to stay there and not another one
