The place was great—definitely a rare gem! There were four of us in the room with a private bathroom. It was spotless and maintained daily. My mom had a fractured bone, and we really appreciated that there was an elevator, which made everything much easier for her. The area has great coffee shops and restaurants, and it’s right by the metro. Gran Vía is just a 6–7 minute walk away, and the location is perfect for exploring the city on foot. There’s also plenty of nightlife nearby if you’re looking to go out in the evening.

We had to wait for about half an hour outside on the street for the lady to come and let us in .even thought we had given hour of arrival.When she arrived she took us to the 2nd floor while we were carrying our luggages by the steps..when we arrived upstairs I asked her "is there no lift?"and she simply said yes!The bathroom is extra small,and the toilet bowl is between a wall and the bathtub.If someone has a heavy bottom does not fit.

I really like the hostal, it was clean, i was solo and having my own bathroom was very important. The price for the location is very reasonable. Lady was cleaning the room each day. The location is the best. In 1 week i did nkt need to use the metro, bcs i could walk everywhere. Shops, restaurants, bars, supermarkets directly on the street.

Everything was really good, just maybe the little fridge could be very useful to add.

Wonderful location in Malasana, close to many restaurants, bars, & shops. Despite being in the center of it all, the room was nice and quiet. The host is very kind & responsive, and even let us check in early, which was a huge relief since we just came off a long air travel day. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in Madrid!

The appartement is very close to Gran Via street. Many nice restaurants are near by. Also Flamenco theatre. The appartement was on the second floor, we have our own bathroom in our room, also TV, it was clean.

The walls are very tiny, you can here people talking in other appartements, the towels are clean but worn out. Also they need to put new blankets on the beds.

Very nice place . Close to Gran Via and Plaza Espana . Very clean and quiet . Spacious single room , good shower . A very nice and friendly host . I felt like i was at home .

Location was great. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Quiet and calm location yet right in the heart of everything.

The entrance / doorway could be nicer but I understand that could be a community issue.

- Great location, most of the central attractions in walking distance - The host is very kind, I cannot say anything bad.

- Walls are quite thin, so as someone with noise sensitivity, I was sometimes annoyed by the sounds from neighbouring rooms or from the patio, when the window was opened. - Not enough power sockets close to the bed, if the fridge is plugged

Small room and bathroom, but enough for solo traveler. Desk and wifi to do some online work. Plus is a little fridge! Close to Grand Via and metro stations (easy reach from airport). Peaceful.

Even tough this was the cheapest option for staying in Madrid center, I still think 57 euros per night just for small room it is a bit to much. But still recommend if you want private room and private bathroom.

Clean, good location and communication with the host

Elevator serves some parts of the floors so we had to carry the luggage for some steps, causing some discomfort when you are with elderly or children
