My stay at Lopesan Costa Meloneras in March with friends was simply unforgettable. The entire property is a tribute to elegant luxury — from the luscious, meticulously maintained gardens to the beautifully designed spaces that inspire you at every turn. The dining experiences were equally impressive, with delicious and beautifully presented food. Every corner of the hotel radiates charm and sophistication, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy.

My only small suggestion: adding a Nespresso machine in each room would elevate the experience even further.

The hotel building and surrounding property is amazing. So many different areas to chill out in, allowing for a relaxing holiday despite being such a large hotel. Pools are great even the non-heated ones are fine to swim in during the winter. The overall design of the hotel is beautiful and is even better than the photos show.

Due to the size of the hotel it takes a few days to orientate yourself. You only get a map on check-in and not much help after that. I expected a 5 star welcome and the feeling of being looked after considering the price. Instead I felt like just one of a thousand other guests left to figure things out myself.

Not offering hot drinks at evening meal in the price. not offering water free. no nice toiletries in rooms, not 5* standard not 5* food at all, mostly cold, not enjoyable. too many unique areas with no one in. took over an hour to check in, using new system that no one was trained on. no explanation on anything when checked in on where things were, breakfast times, anything! no iron and ironing board in room water in room not replenished after day one air con poor

Our room was spacious, clean, and located in one of the best parts of the hotel. • Housekeeping was excellent – the room was cleaned regularly and thoroughly. • The pool areas and gardens were beautiful and very well-maintained. • Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and enjoyable.

What could be improved: • There was a kettle in the room with tea, milk, and sugar — but surprisingly, no instant coffee. • Breakfast and dinner were quite repetitive, with little variety. • Both meals included a lot of pork, which may not be suitable for all guests. It would be nice to have more inclusive food options.

Absolutely loved this resort - it's stunning! I was a solo traveller and wanted somewhere I could blend in and here I felt was the perfect place for that. The pools are fantastic and I loved spending time at the quiet pool then go to the busier pools if I wanted to. The spa was exceptional - one of the best I've ever been in (and that's saying something!). It's an extra cost but really worth it.

There is a beautiful patio space with a stunning view which is just out from the main hotel lobby bar. I didn't like that they had kids club evening activities here and also felt the evening entertainment should be away from the lobby bar. That would mean there's always somewhere peaceful to relax with a book and drink.

The breakfast was good, but not a lot of vegetarian options. The staff at the breakfast was extremely rude. They didn't speak English and did not want to understand you at all.

The whole time we were there they had problems with the towel company so we could not get any towels for the pool. The hotel staff would not help us or other people in that matter. You had to pay for the padel/tennis court, rackets and balls. We asked for rooms next to each other, but did not get it. They could only give us rooms on the same floor.

The dinner buffet had something different every night and there was so much to choose from. The staff were all very friendly and always made our 2 year old smile. The main lifeguard at the quiet pool was great and very nice.

We had a Mountain View and were woken up a lot by the bar/club across the road, one day the music was still going at 6am. The windows need an update to block out the sound. Other family members had a sea view room about the main outdoor area. It was quite noisy too when there were performers but it was always finished by 11pm. Some days the room wasn’t cleaned until 3/4pm. Perhaps there could be someone monitoring the buffet queues or some kind of better system. If you went at a busy time, a couple of the stations had queues but it wasn’t clear which queue was for what and lots of people skipped.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel felt luxurious. Most of the nightly shows from 9:00 to 10:00 PM were interesting, but the options were somewhat limited. The resort was very nice, and the location was perfect—close to the dunes, the nude beach, and many shops and restaurants. The view from the pool was very nice. Overall, it was a great resort for relaxation.

The water temperature in the pools and jacuzzi was very low. The jacuzzi was actually cold, making it unusable. The two main pools draw water from the ocean, and both were very cold. The warmest pool was a small one with a temperature below 22°C. We could hear noise from the neighboring room, which was a bit annoying, especially in the early mornings when we were on vacation and wanted to sleep in. Breakfast was almost the same every day. We stayed for seven days, and by the end, we were really tired of the lack of variety.
