It hit a well balanced price, quality and location ratio. Its taken us three years to get in there and it did not disappoint. The hotel was spotless, the staff were amazing at getting the hotel ready every morning. Smelled clean every day you woke up.

Rule for one rule for another attitude kind of upset me. We got told multiple times we could not have friends over for pre drinks in our room or have friends around the pool to drink at the bar but we observed people do exactly that. There are signs all over saying you cannot reserve hammocks yet 6 young ladies did it every morning and blatantly winked at the pool guy so he did nothing about it.

Absolutely loved my stay at Playa del Sol apartment hotel in Gran Canaria! 🌞 This place exceeded all my expectations. First off, the location is unbeatable — it’s literally only 1 minute to the Yumbo Centre, perfect for shopping, dining, and nightlife. I also loved that I could walk to the beautiful beaches in just a few minutes — super convenient! The apartment itself was fantastic: it had a fully equipped kitchen, a fridge, a safe, and a huge, comfy bed. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. One of the absolute highlights was the amazing pool area — the water was warm, which made it so inviting, and the jacuzzi was a dream for relaxing after a day out. I couldn’t have asked for more in a holiday stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend Playa del Sol to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury in Gran Canaria!

Very close to the centre and nightlife, especially Yumbo. 20mins walking distance from Playa del Inglés. The staff was very helpful and we loved that there was a small shop open from morning til 10pm, we could buy some essentials (water, anything to eat, drinks etc.) If you’re a light sleeper ask for a room not facing Yumbo as at night you might be able to hear the party. I can be a light sleeper too and it didn’t bother me at all with a room facing Yumbo. The beds were super comfortable and almost every day our room was cleaned which is a big plus. Don’t expect luxury, but for its price it is perfect! We were mostly here only to sleep as there’s so many things to do at the island! We fell in love with the island so we’re most definitely coming back!

The appartment was spacious and kitchen area well equipped and a very nice balcony , beds firm but just right , shower in bathroom good and strong , Room over looked pool and the bedroom was quite as also had a pool and garden view . Whole hotel was kept very clean and tidy by the staff . Having washers and dryers was also a bonus . Plus the nude sun bathing area was good if you didn´t feel like the beach .

The Wifi was a bit intermitant some days nothing or took an age to connect , but when it worked it was fast . with regard to the nude sun deck on some days there was no beds and there is enough room for at least 8 to 10 more if arranged closer and not in twos . And on a different note , we would like to stay again but when going to your webb site it is booked already even into 2026

The property is ideally located directly on the Yumbo Centre for those that want to be immediately in the action. It’s also convenient for a lot of the area around it too, so perfect Homebase for doing a bit of wandering and investigating. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The clothing optional rooftop solarium was wonderful, with fantastic views.

That same useful location does have a significant downside. I went during Pride, where the Yumbo Centre has activities, including a loud rave, right through until 4-5am every day of the week. Being so close to it, it means you can hear it in your room if you decided you need to sleep instead, loud enough that you might as well be in the middle of it. It’s nothing at fault with the hotel, but merely something you need to bear in mind.

We loved our light, airy, spacious room with its balcony view over the hotel's fantastic pool and outdoor bar area. The hotel's facilities are superb - aside from the large pool and jacuzzi, there's a gym, a useful late-opening shop, and a private rooftop solarium where you can sunbathe sans clothes if you wish. The rooms are very well equipped with cooking equipment, including a hob, microwave, fridge and toaster, so it's perfectly possible to self-cater if you choose to. There are also washing machines on nearly every floor, should you need to wash clothes, and you can even send postcards at reception. We didn't sample too much of the food and drink on offer, but what we had was very nice, and there's a sheer pleasure in being able to eat at the poolside in the sunshine. The freshly made smoothies are especially tasty. Staff are lovely and super-helpful, as well as full of useful local advice. The other hotel guests were all very nice too, friendly and welcoming. Being an adults only hotel, Playa Del Sol feels like a peaceful and liberating oasis away from the noise of the more touristy areas of Maspalomas.

We liked everything, but be aware that if you get a standard room during Pride or one of the other big fiesta events, it overlooks the Yumbo centre, where the action is. You'll need to be able to sleep through banging house and reggaeton if you go to bed before 4am. Or, y'know, just go down and join in the fun. :)

There is a lot to like about the property. It is always clean, friendly staff and an excellent location at the back of the Yumbo. The pool is nice to chill with around the pool free activities.

The wi-fi is hit and miss and I would recommend you have a roaming on you devices, It’s a shame as this does cause a lot of issues then trying to book return flight seats with the airlines.

The property is reasonably priced, reception staff is super friendly and the facilities are in good condition. The pool is really nice and clean. The room cleaners are lovely. Location is perfect, loads of restaurants around and beach within a walking distance.

The only downside to the place is that it is in a party area so it is a bit noisy, it was not a problem to our trip but specially the light sleepers need to be aware of this.

Christian was excellent at welcoming us and ensuring our stay went well. The apartments were clean and comfortable, towels replaced every few days. The location of the apartments is excellent. It really exceeded our expectations for the price. We will definitely book here again.

Irons are available but must be collected every day from reception and dropped back. The safe being an extra charge is a disappointment, considering it would not cost anything to run. Not being able to organise late check out until the day before departure is frustrating. Despite us asking several times through our stay if it was possible we couldn't reserve until the day before once we got to that time it was done on a first come first serve (on the day)and unfortunately we where too late. They dedo need a better system for this.
