Loved the location. Full board was great. Pool area lovely. Woman who did the aqua aerobics and entertainment was excellent.

Our room was possibly the worst in the hotel. The balcony was like a coffin. You couldn’t have 2 chairs facing out. And there was nothing to see apart from a tree trunk and building work. The first person we dealt with to ask for a change of room was so sour and rude (Martina). Other staff offered us another room but it was in a worse location but a bigger balcony so we were between a rock and a hard place so stayed put. To be fair we were a very last minute booking but those small balcony rooms are to be avoided.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good but could have been hotter.

We booked a sea view, but we're at the side of the hotel with a limited view. We were mainly looking at a building site next door to our hotel. I am happy to show you the photos of our location. I asked if we could be relocated to another room, this was declined.

The dining room experience needs to be a lot better, and management need to invest in teas pots! additional toasters (2 is just not enough) and red wine glasses. Staff need training to know the difference between red and white wine glass. Guests queuing for omelettes at breakfast cause unnecessarily long queues for other guests at hot buffet. A simple change to chef work station would eliminate this. This has been the case for a number of years, obviously not a management priority. However small changes would make a big difference to the dining experience.

Location very good right on the beach.. Hotel celebrating 50 years old and it shows , decor looking old . I'm sure I saw Simon templar ('the saint') at the bar !!!

Buying a drink at the bar (sitting at a table waiter service for a drink okay) . Bar staff at bar very poor

All good in that line, food very good, very relaxing, nice hotel

A good complaint, travelling from ireland, we are being robbed with the flights, not really a complaint,I thought ur prices were a bit steep, that then makes it very expensive from ireland, and I think people have started to look at different destinations, I think the only thing going for Lanzarote is the weather, it has become a very expensive place now, restaurants not giving value for ur money,John mc Guinness

- comfortable bed and room - great buffet with lots of delicious choices - good location, close to some small beaches - two pools - great sized bathroom and excellent shower pressure to wash hair - good amenities - excellent house keeping - supermarkets close by and a taxi rank across the street. Bus stop also not far - lots of restaurants and bars nearby

- food at buffet could have food allergies e.g. what is gluten free as I had to guess/ask but food was amazing regardless - staff at front desk could be friendlier. One lady I dealt with was lovely though - it would be good to have a rule where people can’t bags pool lounges as I saw two that weren’t touched for three hours but had towels on them!!! Stopped a few of us getting a spot so I went to the beach instead

All the staff are amazing. The restaurant is very well run, staff are so nice and really look after you and the food is great. The pool areas are lovely on the seafront, very suitable for an older clientele and the pool bar staff are wonderful.

The rooms/ cocktail bar is a little dated, however that’s not really an issue. Still a great hotel.

The landscaping is beautiful and the pool area was exceptionally good with access straight to the beach. There are 2 pool areas with ample loungers and parasols and there was a large indoor and outdoor bar. Prices were very reasonable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and you could always find a member of staff if you needed one. No waiting around for help. Taxis were easily ordered by reception and quick to arrive. 10min drive to airport.

The section of the hotel I stayed in had no ramp or lift to the first floor (which was fine for me and younder people someone but it could be difficult for older people maybe?) The aircon could be stronger (being picky!)

Fantastic location near the sea and on the main stretch... pool area is fabulous, rooms are very comfortable and clean ..housekeeping really good...Delighted we got a sea view as requested too...really enjoyed sitting out on balcony watching sun go down. Food is good...Lovely atmosphere overall in hotel

Reserved seating in the restaurant....difficult to get a table in restaurant at times as there were all these empty tables with reserved signs at really busy meal times. Other guests including ourselves were turned away on several occasions due to this and sometimes these reserved tables remained vacant for the duration of our meal. Perhaps long time customers are rewarded for their repeat custom but it should not adversely affect other customers. This was such a pity as our experience of the hotel was wonderful besides...this was also our second stay there.

Stayed in San Antonio for the last week of January 2023 a friend and myself we had our own rooms which was perfect, I'd highly recommend the San Antonio if your staying in Puerto del Carmen we are both early 50s and found the entertainment a bit more suited to older people but totally understand that as most clients were older than us hopefully some day ill be old too. I couldn't fault the hotel in any way we stayed half board and found the food to be of excellent quality, I would have no hesitation in rebooking this hotel if I was returning to Puerto del carmen.
