The spacious villa comes with its own private shaded parking space. The pool was wonderful with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, as well as towels. We stayed 5 nights and on our last night decided to try the restaurant. I wish we had tried it sooner as the food was excellent, the service was great and the price was extremely reasonable. Everything is kept extremely clean, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. It is a great hotel that I would highly recommend.

The only issue we had was that the wifi reception in our villa was not very stable.

Use this hotel as last stop before flying back after exploring Galicia. Pool was good for the kids - but packed. We managed to get some sun beds and some shade but it was at a premium. We stayed in one of the villas - kids downstairs in the lounge and we were upstairs in the bed room. Very US feel to the room and the reception - not a bad thing just an observation. Had a great dinner with the view over looking Santiago as the sun went down.

I’m having to be picky here - sun beds not enough in shade and they do a shuttle bus to the city centre but not one to the airport - it taxi was 10mims and the hot one booked for us very quickly. Really not negatives!

This is a big hotel a couple of miles from the centre of Santiago. The free mininbus shuttle is very useful but does not run on sundays. So plan your stay accordingly! We had a villa which was excellent. Own garage for our motorbike with a door that leads to each villa so secure for the bike. Very clean . Good bathroom. Comfy beds. 2 massive tvs. Slept well. Air con works well and silent. Restaurant was excellent with friendly helpful staff. Meals good value for a 4 star hotel as were the drinks in the hotel lobby bar and wine with meal. The grounds are stunning and the pool area lovely too.

Only negative was the pool bar area. Younger chap running it was not friendly and had no idea how to make an aporol spritz! Just poured neat aporol into plastic tumbler with ice. Asked him to put some wine in or prosecco and he had no idea why! The prices in this bar are double that of the lobby bar which does not make sense!

The room i got in the renovated building after i requested a change, was quite ok. Modern and specious. Clean. The lobby and the sitting area are very spacious and nice. The overall setting of the hotel is nice for a getaway since its not in the city.

The hotel is a refurbished old building. Not all parts of the building are renovated. I initially got a room in the old part and it was musty, dark and very old. Only after i mentioned i didn’t book that room they change it. Food in the restaurant is average. The front desk not always friendly and the hotel is not in Santiago - you need a taxi to go to the city. Too expensive for what it offers.

However upon arriving at the hotel I was able to relax in great style

A Smart internet TV would have been a bonus

Spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Good breakfast. Tasty dinner at an attractive price. Big outdoor swimming pool and nice garden, both very well maintained. Plenty of parking space, free of charge. Free shuttle bus service to the hotel and back.

The hotel is huge and seems to be a favorite destination for tourist buses. It can be quite noisy and crowded when big groups arrive or leave. The price for the breakfast is quite expensive (51 Euros for three persons). Unfortunately, this has become a general trend in hotels.

Lovely hotel located on a hill overlooking Santiago, very comfortable beds - we stayed in a villa for 3 nights, which had a separate bedroom upstairs and living room downstairs with balcony. Walk in shower. Main restaurant is situated in main hotel building where other bedrooms located - benefit for us in being in a villa that it felt it was quieter as the hotel is used a lot by tour groups, albeit they are very well managed by the hotel in terms of check in and dining separately. Good shuttle service offered into Santiago which was quick and efficient. Reception staff very accommodating and provided a kettle for our room.

The restaurant offered a fairly limited evening menu from 8.30pm, albeit service was very good, and breakfast was great. Bar food could be ordered separately if you want to eat earlier/are tired after walking or visiting the city. The view over Santiago is not as picturesque as one might be led to understand.

Having visited Santiago de Compostela before we knew that we would have to seek a hotel that was outside the town centre if we wanted secure car parking. Obviously, we would have been delighted to stay at the Parador but the time we would have spent enjoying the hotel did not justify the cost and so we settled on staying at Gran Hotel Los Abetos and it didn't disappoint! Large comfortable room with spacious bathroom made our stay very enjoyable. Ample parking helped. The front garden was worth walking around too. The hotel is within easy reach of the town centre by car. This hotel offered good value for money. Finally, the breakfast was plentiful and varied too. Simply put, no complaints!

Nothing, but be mindful the hotel is not located where you could consider walking to the town centre.

Suite room was comfortable and large but was old school. Room was very quiet. Bed super comfortable. Pool area was nice. Breakfast had good choices, dinner was excellent - went for the set menu which was one of the best meals of our trip. There was a park allocated to our suite but we didn’t use it.

No coffee maker in room. Thought we had outside space but was a little conservatory opening on to the rear drive. Hotel felt a bit remote from town. There were shuttles though.

It is a very nice hotel, the decor is a little dated and rooms very dark. But comfortable and clean. It also has a fridge in hotel room. location is a few kilometres out of town, so if you don’t have a car a taxi is €10, also the hotel has a shuttle bus leaving hotel every hour 10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm til 8 pm which is a really great service. We stayed here for the pool which is nice, we had an enjoyable stay. Staff were very friendly.

Would like liked a kettle in the room, really missed somewhere to make tea/ coffee. The breakfast is €15 per adult and €8 per child. Which is a lot when paying for hotel and the four of us. We didn’t eat here but it would have been nice if there was an option to get a coffee and croissant rather than a full breakfast.
