Stunning hotel Traditional and Classy A beautiful room with the most comfortable bed and a large bathtub The food in the restaurant was amazing both breakfast and dinner were well worth the price A pool was available but unfortunately it was raining when I arrived A great place to stay at the end of the Camino There is a shuttle service from the centre of Santiago to the hotel but unfortunately I was not made aware of this at the time of booking and even more unfortunately had to walk to the hotel ( after a 16 mile day ) due to a lack of taxis …. However upon arriving at the hotel I was able to relax in great style

A Smart internet TV would have been a bonus

Lovely hotel located on a hill overlooking Santiago, very comfortable beds - we stayed in a villa for 3 nights, which had a separate bedroom upstairs and living room downstairs with balcony. Walk in shower. Main restaurant is situated in main hotel building where other bedrooms located - benefit for us in being in a villa that it felt it was quieter as the hotel is used a lot by tour groups, albeit they are very well managed by the hotel in terms of check in and dining separately. Good shuttle service offered into Santiago which was quick and efficient. Reception staff very accommodating and provided a kettle for our room.

The restaurant offered a fairly limited evening menu from 8.30pm, albeit service was very good, and breakfast was great. Bar food could be ordered separately if you want to eat earlier/are tired after walking or visiting the city. The view over Santiago is not as picturesque as one might be led to understand.

Having visited Santiago de Compostela before we knew that we would have to seek a hotel that was outside the town centre if we wanted secure car parking. Obviously, we would have been delighted to stay at the Parador but the time we would have spent enjoying the hotel did not justify the cost and so we settled on staying at Gran Hotel Los Abetos and it didn't disappoint! Large comfortable room with spacious bathroom made our stay very enjoyable. Ample parking helped. The front garden was worth walking around too. The hotel is within easy reach of the town centre by car. This hotel offered good value for money. Finally, the breakfast was plentiful and varied too. Simply put, no complaints!

Nothing, but be mindful the hotel is not located where you could consider walking to the town centre.

It is a very nice hotel, the decor is a little dated and rooms very dark. But comfortable and clean. It also has a fridge in hotel room. location is a few kilometres out of town, so if you don’t have a car a taxi is €10, also the hotel has a shuttle bus leaving hotel every hour 10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm til 8 pm which is a really great service. We stayed here for the pool which is nice, we had an enjoyable stay. Staff were very friendly.

Would like liked a kettle in the room, really missed somewhere to make tea/ coffee. The breakfast is €15 per adult and €8 per child. Which is a lot when paying for hotel and the four of us. We didn’t eat here but it would have been nice if there was an option to get a coffee and croissant rather than a full breakfast.

This is a traditional "grand hotel" with large spacious rooms, luxurious foyers and sitting areas, great gardens and outdoor swimming pool area and an excellent restaurant. It really exceeded our expectations. Although large and seemingly well occupied it never felt busy. The staff were always on hand and very friendly. We had an excellent lunch on arrival and the breakfast was also very good.

There were a few minor issues with the room on arrival (TV remote temperamental, no kettle) but these were quickly resolved by the helpful staff. Only negative is that the shuttle bus into town is only once per hour, doesn't run in the middle of the day and the last one at 8pm which is too early - also no buses on Sunday. The city centre is not walkable - a taxi costs about 9 EURO each way.

What a fabulous place on the outskirts of the city with great views. The hotel was easy to find and on arrival, we were impressed with the exterior and the gardens. The interior is just as impressive with views over the city and marble and comfy sofas all over reception. Staff were helpful and friendly and the information given was very helpful. The room was large and very clean, comfy chairs for relaxing and a great bed. All faculties were available and the team worked hard to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Robes and slippers and a full range of toiletries provided We were there over Christmas and the Christmas day lunch was excellent. A great stay in luxury.

Lack of meal options on Christmas Eve if not joining the organised dinner. Luckily, we knew this so had planned.

The location suited us because we walk everywhere and this was great because it hooked up with Camino. Pool was super for unwinding especially for kids. Staff were friendly , very helpful and patient. Delicious breakfast

The bar dinner we ordered was very limited and very disappointing in taste and value . Perhaps the kitchen was overstretched because of the wedding. We ate in a nearby restaurant the second night

The accommodation was very nice. Clean, comfortable and opening windows for air. As it is located on the high point one gets a nice night view over other buildings. A bar-type menu is available during meal times.

No assistance available for baggage. A steward would elevate this hotel immensely. The restaurant food was very good, however as a vegetarian a non-pasta option would elevate the menu selection as it was limited. I like to be able to make a cup of tea in my room.

spacious, exceptionally clean, very friendly staff, large room with excellent shower and very good black-out curtains, very comfortable king bed. Lots of free outdoor parking. The hotel is a 10-minute taxi ride from the historic part of Santiago, which is inconvenient in some ways but at least you’re away from the crowds.

beautiful large outdoor pool full of water but not open for use although the weather was sunny and good now in May; apparently they open it in July. We had just come from Vigo where the outdoor pool was open.

Breakfast excellent, staff very good, but it felt stretched - they were all exceedingly busy. That didn't effect their service but I think more staff would help! Lovely accomodation and excellent facilities.

I think that the information about the villas is not clear. I was unsure of what exactly I had booked and the photos were not clear. An outside photo of the front and a description of it being over two floors with an integrated garage would have been better. Coffee and tea in the room would have been good too.
