Location is perfect for anyone visiting the sights, it`s literally a couple of hundred metres from the heart of the old town, with the Basilica and the castle a stroll away. the person who met us (I`m sorry to say I don`t remember her name) was enthusiastically helpful whenever we met her. Full of information on the local area.

Only two things. The beds were too firm (a continental norm we`ve learnt over time) and the terrace would benefit from some sort of shading, an umbrella or a canopy. The sun can be very strong making the otherwise fabulous terrace a difficult place to sit out in at times.

Pro - We were warmly welcomed by a guy who introduced himself as "Pablo". He was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not only that he calmly explained in details how several keys were to be used, one, among others, is for elevator to the rooftop, but he was very knowledgeable, as if he could remember all streets in the map, so he could recommend several restaurants that we asked for, type of cuisine, and also supermarkets nearby. This was impressive, we followed the mark he put on the map and found the restaurant we asked for. In this regard, his advice was tailor-made, customized as per our questions. This is not the case that he had a list of restaurants in mind to tell all visitors the same list, but he came up with recommendation to serve our purpose. It shows he remembered all streets around the map. The inside decoration was very impressive, it felt authentic, classic, with the influenced from Portuguese decorative appearances. The room is too big, equipped with all you mean, kitchenware also. Location is best, with a short work and you reached the walking street full of restaurants and a short work to Catedral de Sevilla, and Royal Alcazar of Seville (RAS). For RAS, I highly recommend you book your ticket well in advance, but if you fail to do so, be there at 8:30am to be among the first in the walk-in queue, and you could get a ticket (after spending 1-1.5 hr queuing).

Con - This is not a hotel, so there is no 24 hrs front desk or reception desk being on site. There is no problem, only that you need to communicate clearly in advance, such as your expected arrival time, so you will be well served.

Our room was spacious and attractive. We loved the little patio and privacy. Light came in through glazed doors to the patio and a large kitchen window via stained glass doors from main room to kitchen. The room was very quiet (February) and built to keep heat out, but the heating worked well (cold in evenings). Very near to restaurants and historic areas. Helpful staff. Spacious bathroom, nice big towels repaced after 2 days. Fantastic historic building with sun roof.

Only the shower, which was hand-held. It almost looked as though it had been installed upside down as the shower head could not be inserted (without severe wobbling) into the part which would have made it a stationary fitting. Hard to shower both holding the shower head and a bar of soap! Likely to send water all over the bathroom floor.

We had a lovely stay at Suites Machado. The location was second to none - it was central but also peaceful and away from the ‘hubbub’ around the cathedral. The building is absolutely stunning - it was wonderful staying somewhere so historic and so beautifully decorated and furnished. Our facilities were perfect. The kitchen was small but fully functional, the bathroom fine. We had a bedroom and also a sofa bed for our daughter in the sitting room - both beds were very comfortable. As our apartment was at the back of the building, it was particularly quiet and felt very private. We also appreciated having access to the terrace.

We were in Seville in heavy rain. It was noisy at night, as the rain fell down the light well next to our bedroom and dripped off the roofs. But that can’t be very common!

It’s regality. It’s location. It’s beauty and calm. The well stocked suites are a plus. Perfect for a getaway-almost transporting you-in Sevilla, a city full of culture and charm, albeit old world charm. This royal 17th century place is a must visit if you like quaint white regal walls and a quiet time with lots of tranquility! Pablo- the owner/host is a gem!

Beatifully restored old house in a great location close to the Cathedral, restaurants and shops. We loved the decoration with the authentic furniture and the old charm of the place. Very friendly owner and great communication before and during our stay. We enjoyed daily cleaning with change of towels. Nice roof terrace and beatiful patio.

We were 4 so had to use also the sofa bed (which was comfortable). As there is no door separation between the entrance room which has a glass wall towards the patio and a room with a sofa bed, this may be not ideal for light sleepers.

We stayed in suite 5 on the second floor reached via a beautiful patio and marble stair or by a lift. The suite was large, spacious and beautiful with lovely tiled floors. A bedroom, bathroom, large, gorgeous living room with ancient rafters, kitchen and patio, all beautifully furnished and decorated, and access to the roof terrace with a view of the Giralda and a washing machine and drier. Let us leave our luggage after checkout until we were ready to collect it. Perfectly positioned in Santa Cruz and accessible by taxi

The hotel is in the centre of the old town 5 min walk to Cathedral. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff are very nice and friendly, Cristina assisted us to check in and using map to show us around the local area. We booked Deluxe Suite with Terrace. The suite is unique, massive, and comfy. Although some furnitures are not in perfect condition, but it's like we are visiting grand parents' home. The kitchen is nice, so we could prepare some healthy food from supermarket alternatively.

Old building is not perfect for sound proofing. There are some constructions undergoing during our stay probably from 7am till dusk. Bells from churches will sing every 30 min or 1 hour. They did woke up my wife, but I slipped like a baby because of too many walks during the day. Perhaps, ear plugs are recommended if you need lower noise to sleep.

Great Location: Ideally situated in the heart of the city. If time had allowed, I would have loved to extend our stay. Exceptional Staff: Despite our late arrival, a kind lady waited until midnight to greet us warmly and make us feel right at home. Prompt Communication: Highly effective and responsive communication through the Booking.com app. Charming Rooms: The room was perfect for our family of five, offering a blend of traditional charm with modern comforts. The space featured a well-equipped bathroom, kitchen, and even an elevator. The building itself exudes historical character. Convenient Transportation: Although located on a narrow street (as is common in Spain), the taxi was able to drop us off right at the doorstep.

No Air Conditioning: The property description mentions the absence of air conditioning, which could be uncomfortable for children on a hot day. However, being in the old city, fans and open windows can create a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast Note: Breakfast is not provided, but the central location offers plenty of dining options within walking distance.

The location is absolutely perfect, just five minutes' walk to the Cathedral, right in the midst of everything yet also situated on a fairly quite street. The Spanish-style furnishings are lovely and really add character to the place.

As you might expect from a historic building, aspects of the property can feel a little bit rustic -- our rooms had slippery tile floors and a few steps (a bit tough on our toddler), problems with lifts (although this was quickly fixed). But to us, all this was worth it because the place is so charming and the staff is on hand to help.
