The place is amazing, it is very close to Aare River and to Bern Main Station. It serves the guests with very fulfilling breakfast (which is beyond my expectation!) and public transport ticket during our whole stay in Bern. I highly reccommens this place for solo traveler

The shower room and toilets are too limited for a whole floor. The guest kitchen is so small and not so well-equipped. Also, the rules of closing the kitchen and dining area around 23:00 is kind of weird because usually hostels are just allowing its guests to use the dining room until quite late, but only we need to make our activities much less noisy

The location was great - very close to the river, which made it easy to enjoy nice walks and access nearby attractions.The breakfast was more than sufficient, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. On the day I checked out, they provided lockers for my luggage for 5 CHF deposit, which was very helpful for spending my last day exploring the city.If you're traveling with a large suitcase (not cabin-size), be aware that it won't fit into the room's assigned locker.

One issue might be with the power outlets in the 6-bed dorms. The top bunk beds only had USB power ports, which may be inconvenient if you need a regular outlet. Also, for some reason — maybe due to the location or high usage — the internet was a bit slow on my laptop.

The building felt very modern and the rooms were quite large. The breakfast was included in the price and the area was set out like a school canteen so had a lot of room. The location is right next to the river so was nice for a morning walk. It’s close to the old town for everything you need but not noisy at all. There was a secure luggage storage room and lockers available for valuables (5 CHF). Friendly and helpful reception staff.

There was no plug next to the bed, only a USBC port. You have to make your own bed, which I understand with hostels, but can be a little annoying. Breakfast ended at 0930 which I think is a little early. It was very family friendly, with lots of young kids running around, this doesn’t bother me so much, but if you are looking for a hostel to meet other solo travellers then this might not be the one.

The location of the hostel is in a very nice place. It's great to be located right by the river. It is also very close to tourist spots. City transportation is free of charge with the code given by the hostel. The hostel rooms are spacious and clean. There is a sink in the room. The hostel team is friendly. Breakfast was included in the price and was perfectly adequate and nice.

The bathroom and toilet are located in the hallway. There are no paper towels in the sink in the hotel room. I don't see anything else complaining.

1. The receptionists were all very welcoming and helpful. They explained everything about the hostel and its facilities very well to the guest. 2. Clean and complete bed linen and sets provided with comfortable mattress and pillow. 3. Strategically located and near to Bern tourist attractions and public transportation. 4. The breakfast provided was really satisfying and highly quality meals served for guests.

Guest brought their dirty shoes into the dormitory. I suggest that the management should provide shoe racks in front of the lockers and reinforce the removal of shoes before entering the dormitory to maintain cleanliness.

The staff were very welcoming and efficient including breakfast staff receptionists morning and night, and cleaning staff. The showers were always hot. Breakfast was good. Location,by the beautiful river and a little climb to the station and old City and outdoor space.

Price of cappuccino ch 5.50 was very expensive. Not sure why. In.the heatwave room very hot. Would have loved some curtains round the bed9

Close enough to the Bern station by walking about 5-7mins and then take a furnicular down (free with Swiss travel pass). Breakfast was ok with bread, ham, jam, and coffee

It was really hot in the room. Even with the window open it only cools down after the sun sets which is past 930pm. The elevator was a little scary though; it made a loud clunk when it hit the 3rd floor and the door didn’t open until I pressed open but it seemed like a one off thing

Perfect location by the river but also the funicular up to the old town/centre. We had a twin room which was large and had lovely views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We also had an evening meal which was excellent and good value. Breakfast was included and was also very good.

The room was very hot when we arrived - it would have been better if blinds had been left closed. Room was expensive for a Youth Hostel but still cheaper than most other places in central Bern and given its location I would say it was worth the money.

The property was in the perfect location! The room was comfortable and we had a lovely view of the river. Staff were professional and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. We walked up through the old town to the new bridge and the bears were out roaming which was a highlight.

The only thing which would have been an added bonus would have been to have the Bern pass for public transport before arrival. Not too much of a problem for us as we were able to walk from the train station to the hostel which we did first so had the pass at check in.

This accommodation is in an excellent location just below the town centre and as close to the river as you can get. The facilities are simple but well designed, with a small number of carparks able to be reserved, lift access, walk-in shower, and ramps for those like me who use a mobility scooter. The meal options are also a plus.

It was unclear what other amenities were available. For example there may have been a fridge but there was no information provided at check-in.
