Great location in the Altstadt Rich breakfast Good Lighting Very clean

Arriving at the assigned room is a labyrinthine path: 1) First elevator, 2) passage through the breakfast room, 3) second elevator, 4) insidious steps not marked (where I strumpled fortunately without consequences). Path of Kafkaesque anguish!!!

Manuel at the front desk was the most gracious and lovely staff person in our 3 weeks in Switzerland, making us feel very welcomed and assisting us with everything from suggestions to city attractions, luggage storage and taking the extra consideration to let us when our room was ready a little earlier. It was a very hot day and we were very tired, so this was a significant gesture to our comfort. We had been staying in the mountains and lake areas where there was no air condition, so it was nice to finally have a room with AC during the heat wave.

Room is small but sufficient for one night. Floors looked a little worn out, but hotel looks to be making new improvements. Generous selection for breakfast, but scrambled eggs were unfortunately dry and very over cooked.

Receptionist are helpful and friendly. Unlike typical hotel I know (it's my first time in Swiss), this hotel doesn't provide water + beverages in room, instead provide it in public coffee station room. The selection of beverages are generous. The location is 5 mins walk from Bern Station, which I think is ideal, not too far walking. The breakfast selections are decent, provide specific vegetarian stall to help people who explicitly avoids meat or finding easy halal foods.

The indoor AC might be hard to adjust, I can't find the settings that my match my preference (too hot or too cold). The door in stairway is too heavy, so a trip with two hands full of drinks from coffee station to your room might find them hard to open (just go with lift then).

I like the location of the hotel, as it was just a 6 minute walk from the Bern train station, as well as a few minutes walk to the center of Old Town Bern. The staff were very nice and helpful, too, with information a tourist can use. The hotel in itself was clean, especially the hotel room. And it has air-conditioning in the room, which I hardly used because it was still quite cold in April. The breakfast was basic but plentiful. I enjoyed trying out the free tea and coffee at the 4th floor. It made up for not having individual kettle in the room.

The room didn’t have a refrigerator and own kettle to be able to brew hot water anytime. I have to go up to the 4th floor several times to get hot water and tea. But that is just a little inconvenience while staying at Kreuz Bern hotel. I booked a single room as a solo traveler.. the room size was just right but the size of the bathroom was a bit tight when moving within.

Just a few minutes walk from train station. As we arrived hours before check-in and room was not yet ready, we were able to use large lockers to drop off our luggage behind the reception area. Staff was very attentive. Room was clean; bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and had options for all types of dietary restrictions. Air conditioning was great during the heatwave we stayed in Berne.

There is an (instant) coffee and tea station. A cup of real cup of coffee during the day would have been nice. Don’t expect a nice view from roof terrace.

Room and bathroom were very spacious, location was excellent being right in the city centre. There is some construction going on at the moment and there's two seperate lifts to take us to our room. The first lift was broken when we arrived but the kind young man helped me carry my suitcase up the small flight of stairs. The bathroom also had a bathtub which was the only bathtub we came across during our entire Europe trip which was a bonus. Very walkable to everything in Bern. Breakfast was ample and had a good selection of foods.

Spacious rooms, with a modern bathroom and large shower. The room was quite nice and the breakfast simple but some nice options. The location is perfect right in the heart of the old town!The staff were friendly, well-mannered and accommodating. I didn't like my initial room, given that there was some road noise outside, the staff quickly found me a new room on a higher floor. The second room had some issues, which were minor, but I didn't want to complain again. My stay there was really pleasant and I would go back again!

Unfortunately, the second room faced the elevator, so a lot of light would come through the curtains and you could hear the elevator. I had an eyemask and earplugs so I slept well. It was really only this room, the others are all well positioned and I think it was cause the hotel was full that they had to give me this one. I really didn't mind as I was only there for 2 nights, but I'd recommend not staying in room 317.

The location was excellent, walking distance about 6 to 8 mins to train station and to many places of attractions. Comes with breakfast, good enough for me. Very clean and staff is helpful.

For those who are noise sensitive, my room faces the street, so at night, people in the square below may still be chatting and also the nearby clock chimes at certain timings. But good to just close the windows to reduce sounds. Overall, I still enjoyed this hotel comparing with all other hotels which are more costly. Worth the value paid.

This is a great spot and a lovely City right in the middle of everything! Excellent, modern, very clean Hotel! I've stayed here before and this day was even better than the last. They serve a really great breakfast, I recommend getting it included in your rate. Alexandra at check-in was really great welcoming me... I had had a very difficult trip from Rome to Bern and it's was so great to be welcomed so warmly. Unlike so many hotels these days, this hotel truly knows what hospitality is all about! Thank you Alexandra! Free local public transportation is included at this hotel! I've been all over Europe on this trip and this hotel was truly the best I have experienced and the true highlight of the trip. Recommended! I'll be back!

Breakfasts were great, location great, rooms quite nice.

One staff member seemed a bit inexperienced (but very pleasant). We actually stayed here twice in a week - our first room faced the street and was quite noisy. Our second room was quiet.
