We are a family of 3 adults who stayed during 2nd week of Aug 2025 at Apartment No. 7 which was very spacious, air conditioned, with 2 single beds + 1 double bed, 2 wardrobes, a kitchenette with essentials like plates, cups, cutlery and cooking utensils. The bath and toilet was spacious too. Excellent hot and cold water pressure. As it was extremely hot during the day and was wonderful to have air conditioning. As our apartment faced the inner courtyard so we didn’t hear any street noises. Location of Akomo is very near to the central station for trains, trams and buses. Huge Coop Supermarket is next door and so are many restaurants & cafes. Mr Aamer is an excellent host who gave us clear instructions for check-in and always prompt in communicating with us. He was kind and accommodating in storing our luggage in his office on the day of our check-out. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to Akomo again.

Location location location! Central location near Bern Train station. The area felt safe. Coop department store was located on the street below with lots of restaurants (Indian, Thai, Irish, and more with a few fast food options also!). The room was a few minutes walk from lots of Bern’s must-see sights (clock tower, Parliment building etc). The room was as shown in the pictures; large, bright and clean. Overlooking an inner courtyard. Air con was effective. Kitchenette was sufficient and had sugar, salt and the few bits you would expect! Fab shower. Firm beds but comfortable! The owner couldn’t have done more for us! He was there when we checked in. They have a street map of Bern at the doorway to the property which was a great help!

Nothing really, just a point to note- the (new/modern) lift is compact! I did fit a buggy/stroller and myself in, a little bit of squeeze but we managed it!

There is a simple kitchen, dining table and chairs and comfortable sofa. It makes us feel like we have a home in Switzerland, where we can relax and cook our favorite food. You can contact the B&B management directly through WhatsApp, and the replies are very fast. During the 10-day trip to Switzerland, we left for Zermatt and returned for 3 days. The B&B helped us store our luggage for free, and we could also store our luggage for free after checking out on the last day. This kind of service is very rare in Switzerland.

I/we liked the location of the the hotel, as its all near to shops and public transport.

We did not like the fact that the hotel states that they have "free wifi" and when we checked in 9 of us were having trouble connecting to their wifi. and when i emailed about our concern we did not get any response. The hotel is lovely, clean, spacious, near to public transport and tourist spots unfortunately its the lackk of communication/response from the hotel that put the rating down. And we didnt like as well that the hotel cannot accommodate anything of our request as we celebrate 3 of our friends birthday not even a simple wine, card or cake as we are willing to pay for it anyway.

Very nice room, large and clean with a double bed and a single one. The room has great lights and is spacious. The bathroom is also spacious and very clean. We enjoyed spending time in the small living room and the seats were confortable. The kitchen is very small but was not a problem at all. Great location, 4 min from train station, 2 min from main shopping street but yet extremely quiet. Restaurants all around.

We would have enjoyed thicker curtains or a blind store to block the sun in the morning.

We have a super huge room with sofa, dining table, coffee table, full kitchen. We do quite a lot of cooking during our stay, and coop is just nearby. The staff change the towel and tidy up the kitchen daily. It takes some time to find the hotel (just nearby burger king), but once you know where is it, it is super near the Bern train station, and we travel to different places (Geneve, Lausanne) everyday.

The room was spacious with comfortable seating, an exCellent bed, great pillows, and a well outfitted kitchenette. It was a very short walk from the train station and right on the edge of the old town. We were able to do a lot of things without using transit. Breakfast was not included but we were close to cafes and restaurants. Additionally, the refrigerator, kettle, microwave, stove top, sink and dishes made it easy to prepare food purchased at the nearby COOP. This unique hotel does not include a fancy lobby or restaurant. You get good value in an excellent room.

Had an absolutely fantastic 10-day stay at Akomo Bern! Amir (from check in) was extremely helpful, especially with pre-arrival information (as I was arriving after hours) and communication (eg. arranging an extra day accommodation). The location was a few minutes walk from the main train station (so convenient, as this is the main way we travelled around Switzerland) and on one of the old historical streets of the Old Town. Lots of dining options and supermarkets nearby. Easy walking distance to the Aare River (tip: you must go floating down the river if the weather is good!) and to the sights of the Old Town. As a tourist you get free transit within central Bern, and it was easy to access the many tram/bus routes nearby. You enter the building with a key code and there were stairs as well as a tiny lift. The room had everything we needed - comfy bed, arm chairs, a small dining table with extra chairs, cooktop and cooking/eating implements as well as fridge. Bathroom was spacious with plenty of storage for toiletries in the cupboards. Free wifi and city maps were excellent. The air conditioning was especially fantastic - not always a feature in European rooms in historic areas, and most welcome as we stayed during a relative hot spell. My friend and I had a wonderful stay and were so pleased with our visit and had everything we needed - would definitely stay again if we return to Bern!

Tip: make sure the windows are fully shut at night if you don't want the sounds from the street!

The apartment is spotlessly clean, has an excellent coffee maker and small kitchenette with a fridge, and the shower/bathroom is really large. The location is excellent, close to the station and the old town with all the restaurants and bars nearby. I have stayed several times and will continue to use the Akomo as my base in Bern when I travel.

I still do not like the chain on the door rather than an internal lock. From a safety perspective I am always a bit apprehensive that someone could watch me opening the main door.
