Very nice room, large and clean with a double bed and a single one. The room has great lights and is spacious. The bathroom is also spacious and very clean. We enjoyed spending time in the small living room and the seats were confortable. The kitchen is very small but was not a problem at all. Great location, 4 min from train station, 2 min from main shopping street but yet extremely quiet. Restaurants all around.

We would have enjoyed thicker curtains or a blind store to block the sun in the morning.

Had an absolutely fantastic 10-day stay at Akomo Bern! Amir (from check in) was extremely helpful, especially with pre-arrival information (as I was arriving after hours) and communication (eg. arranging an extra day accommodation). The location was a few minutes walk from the main train station (so convenient, as this is the main way we travelled around Switzerland) and on one of the old historical streets of the Old Town. Lots of dining options and supermarkets nearby. Easy walking distance to the Aare River (tip: you must go floating down the river if the weather is good!) and to the sights of the Old Town. As a tourist you get free transit within central Bern, and it was easy to access the many tram/bus routes nearby. You enter the building with a key code and there were stairs as well as a tiny lift. The room had everything we needed - comfy bed, arm chairs, a small dining table with extra chairs, cooktop and cooking/eating implements as well as fridge. Bathroom was spacious with plenty of storage for toiletries in the cupboards. Free wifi and city maps were excellent. The air conditioning was especially fantastic - not always a feature in European rooms in historic areas, and most welcome as we stayed during a relative hot spell. My friend and I had a wonderful stay and were so pleased with our visit and had everything we needed - would definitely stay again if we return to Bern!

Tip: make sure the windows are fully shut at night if you don't want the sounds from the street!

The apartment was spotlessly clean. As a female traveling alone, even though next to train station I felt very safe (I had room #4 and had to enter the code many times to enter and there is a ball and chain lock too). I asked by WhatsApp to extend the stay by 1 night and got a response in 1 minute. Incredible! Thanks! The location was excellent for easy access to train station (note the back entrance/exit by tracks 20 something) and shopping. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen adequate.

Although the street is extremely quiet at night, early morning deliveries and trash/recycling pick up is loud. Maybe adding metal blinds on outside of windows or shutters could help with the noise.

The location is excellent, close to the station and the old town with all the restaurants and bars nearby. I have stayed several times and will continue to use the Akomo as my base in Bern when I travel.

I still do not like the chain on the door rather than an internal lock. From a safety perspective I am always a bit apprehensive that someone could watch me opening the main door.

Just about everything was perfect. It is close to the train station, was exceptionally clean, and we loved having a kitchen. I am allergic to scented products and this hotel was the best ever as far as being scent free. We would love to come back again and stay here. A tip for people coming in by train - do not take the elevators up from the train platform. Instead walk down the platform to the letter C and take the ramp down. Turn right and follow the crowd to the large center section. If you need groceries there is a Coop to the right. If you don’t want to stop for groceries first, proceed straight past the information booth and go right on to the end of that hall where you will find an elevator and escalator. Once up at street level go straight toward the side street and take it left. Go down one short block and turn right. The hotel is only the right about 20 feet ahead.

Shower was slippery.

Close to the station and excellent for the city centre. The room was very spacious with full facilities for those who wanted to cook! The coffee machine worked well and was very much appreciated. The entire place was very clean and well maintained. No need to book in as there is no reception, just a keyless entry system.

It was a little bit difficult to find as we were looking for a hotel and all there is is a door from the street with a keypad on the wall. We didn't appreciate that there was no reception and it would have been helpful if it had been mentioned that we needed the code sent to us by email. All we got was : Akomo Bern works with the electronic system , code Nr **** Room**. If I had not kept the email we would have been unable to get in!

The room was surprisingly large and had everything we possibly could have needed. Everything was clean and well appointed. The manager is super nice, as are his staff. And the location cannot be beaten! Walking access all over cerntal Bern. Lastly, the price was very reasonable considering that Bern is a very expensive city. This hotel may not look like much from the outside, but it offers a fantastic accomodation for a great value.

It's very difficult to find any fault with this hotel or our room. It pretty much had everything we could have wanted or needed. No complaints.

The perfect place to stay at. More or less in the heart of the old town, all sights were just a walking distance from the hotel Plenty of restaurants and cafes around, and the train station was just 2-3 min walking distance from the place. Very specious room, spotlessly clean, modern bathroom, comfortable bed, and we had all the amenities needed for a short stay in the kitchen. Although quite centrally located, the place was peaceful and quiet. Wi-fi connection was perfect, too. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would visit again, for sure.
