The room was small but fine. Unfortunately there was no water kettle in the room, but we could take coffee and tea from the machine in the breakfast room that was available day and night. From the room we looked onto the garden in front of the hotel with a beautiful pine tree. The lobby of the hotel is very cosy and a nice place to sit if you need more space. There was also fresh fruit, chocolate eggs (we were there around Easter) and candy. The hotel is a bit out of the way, 20 minutes walking to the city centre, but they provided us with a free code to be used in the "Bern Welcome" app which allows you to use public transport for free. The bus nr 10 takes you to the city centre in 5-10 minutes.

Our bed was quite small. The main window had automatic shutters but there was also a window in the bathroom (that is semi-open) with no curtain or shutter hence light entered the room in the morning.

My stay was absolutely wonderful, and I’m grateful for the outstanding service and help! I appreciated the location of the hotel, in a green and quiet neighborhood - I could hear the birds singing in the morning, with nice little green area in front of the hotel, and a small fountain, so beautiful and idyllic! It is within walking distance from the center, however I used the public transport, there is a bus stop very close by. The hotel premises and the room are very elegant and cosy, the room - very comfortable and functional, with everything you might need, a comfy bed, great linen and nice bathroom. I much appreciated the water bottle as courtesy from the hotel! I enjoyed a healthy nourishing breakfast during my stay after a good night sleep. Cannot recommend the hotel enough! Thank you!

Very clean and spacious room with a good table in case you need to work a bit as well. Rooms were cleaned every day, towels changed if needed at no charge. WiFi was good. Really good shower. Good soap and shower gel provided. The hotel is very well located at a central enough location that makes it convenient to access the old town, the university area and other central parts of Bern, you can walk anywhere without even needing public transportation (free for your stay).

Not a big thing, but these days you often have a boiler or small coffee machine to do yourself a complimentary coffee/tee: it would have been great to have that.

Quite and cozy place located close to downtown and old town. Very friendly staff on reception. The hotel provided me a guest card (without my request) which allowed me to use all public transportation within the city. It was a room for one, and I think it could be a bit larger. Though it was clean and functional (but bathroom).

Bathroom had a "modern" design which was not functional. Not enough room on shelves in it, Bed was not as comfi as it could be, even for a "budget" hotel. Breakfast did not include hot dishes such as scrambled (or other style) eggs, bacon or sausages. Though it was very tasty bread, cheese, ham and bakery.

I had a large top-floor Comfort room. It was very quiet even with the window open, which is unusual in an urban setting, so close to the centre (4 minutes by free public transport or an easy walk). (Continental) breakfast was good with fresh bread and croissants. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. At this relatively modest price point in Switzerland, I was impressed.

The small size of the bathroom, but at this price point one would not expect a Four Seasons suite.

Staff were very helpful, and there is free ice cream and coffee/tea available all day. The room was clean and comfortable, and they came to remake the bed even after one night. Didn’t expect to have a private bathroom, as Booking said it was a shared one - so that was a nice bonus!

Room was a little bit hot, but a fan was provided.

Small private hotel with lovely ambience in reception and garden patio area. Warm welcoming staff. A bowl of fresh apples and coffe available was appreciated. Microwave available in breakout reception area Small single room very functional and well designed. Clean. Comfortable bed and linens. Very quiet and good mechanised exterior blinds achieved a dark room for sleeping. Location. Easy walk from train or into old town but free Bern travel card and buses and trams every minute allows easy access everywhere

Would very highly recommend. The only negative was that it was a shame that the endless smoking in the garden patio was so unpleasant for non smokers. Also siphoned into reception area. Many properties recognise that passive smoking is both very unpleasant and harmful to health. Perhaps like many train stations and hotels it could take a stand and become a totally non smoking property.

Everything was clean and comfortable, but lots of little gestures made our stay exceptional. For example, coffee in the lobby was free even though we did not pay for breakfast. Kettles were available to take up to our room for tea. The hotel had umbrellas for us to borrow when it was raining. And the staff were friendly and helpful after we had checked out but wanted to explore the city for a bit longer.

Freshly redecorated, wonderful downstairs areas to sit inside or outside. Excellent breakfast, free transport pass. Location-location 500 meters from US embassy and we walked to the old town. Private parking. Quiet neighborhood location with lots of trees. Staff very helpful.

The lobby and breakfast room are all air conditioned. The rooms are not, however they are equipped with dyson ventilators.
