Perfect location right opposite the train station and bus and tram stops. Our room had a nice shower, TV, portable aircon unit, tea and coffee and plenty of space for luggage and coats. I couldn't hear the extractor fan in the bathroom, but it cleared the steam very quickly. The thick curtains kept the room dark at night and it was really quiet with the window closed. We had a fifth floor room with a balcony and a table and chairs for a great skyline view. The bed was very comfortable, but the typical continental pillows were pretty hopeless - the filling is such that my head sunk almost to the level of the mattress and the sides of the pillow wrapped around my head. The rooms have keys rather than keycards, so the electricity supply stays on when you exit, meaning you can leave things charging. However, there were only two sockets in the room and no USB, which meant a bit of swapping to boil the kettle, have the standard lamp or aircon on and charge phones. Beware that a typical UK travel adapter is the wrong shape for most Swiss sockets, that are wide and flat. The connection is correct, but the Swiss sockets don't have space for the round plastic housing on the adapters (see photo). You need the diamond shape like many phone adapters. The breakfast was OK, nothing special and I found the bread and rolls disappointing, especially given the wonderful bakeries a short walk away. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The lift is small but adequate.

Lack of sockets, pillows

The hotel offered a pleasant stay, highlighted by a spacious room that provided plenty of comfort and a serene atmosphere. Its prime location, just a short walk from the train station, made it incredibly convenient for my travels, allowing me to easily explore the city. I particularly appreciated the quietness of the room, which allowed for restful nights and peaceful moments during my stay.

The bathroom was noticeably old and could use some renovations to enhance its functionality and aesthetic appeal. Additionally, the toilet had a persistent issue where it kept running at night, creating an annoying noise that disrupted my sleep. I also found the lack of electric plugs next to the bed to be inconvenient, as it made charging devices a bit of a hassle.

The location of the hotel opposite the entrance to the railway station was a huge convenience. It also gave access to the old city of Bern. The breakfast was excellent - a wide selection from which to choose and attractively laid out.

The bath was very deep, necessitating care when stepping in for a shower. The absence of comfortable chairs for reading was a shortcoming. Some usb charge points would have been useful.

Breakfast was an extra charge (didn't do it). Location is on a very busy street between the 2 different streets for train station entrances. I'm not sure I would have found it on foot (bribed a taxi driver to take me there off meter, as it's such a short distance). Hotel should send out an email with a map of where exactly it is located and a picture of its entrance.

This hotel's prime location in the heart of the city is undoubtedly its biggest selling point, making it an ideal choice for travelers who want to explore the city without relying on public transportation. Overall, the room's spaciousness is commendable, and the hotel's central location makes it an attractive option for those who prioritize convenience and accessibility.

it's worth noting that the absence of AC may be an issue for some guests, particularly during warm weather.Despite this, the hotel staff's helpfulness in providing a fan to circulate the air is a welcome gesture.

Alexander was nice at the check-in and everything was clear. We had early check-in and we were super grateful for that. The only thing that I would recommend is to have a little bit more communication between front-office and housekeeping, since when we arrived at the room, the housekeeping lady was still finishing the last touches and the door was still open. Besides that everything was as expected, and super central since Bern has a small and cute city center! Everything's walkable.

Room needed a fan, was roasting at night in the summer even with the window open. Found myself doing a 4am ice cold shower to cool down! But apart from that it's a high quality room

Location is super convenient, right next to train station and food. At the cost of being a bit noisy, but black out curtains worked wonders on the street lights. Near cafes for breakfast or coffee and a nice park

There were no noise from the streets. But the rooms are not noise isolated from each other. I woke up at the first night 1:10. Somebody was chanting and drumming. Another guest told him shut up. After that he became quite. Same night at 3:30 a man and woman started to speak to each other. The man voice was very strong. They stopped to speak after 20 minutes

I feel like this hotel was a great little find. It's a few steps from the main train station and a ton of restaurants/cafes. We could basically start our walking tours by walking out the door of the hotel. We had a room on the interior of the ~courtyard, and it was surprisingly quiet, given that the other side of the hotel faces a main street. I interacted with 3 different staff people, and they were all super friendly. Anyway, if a friend wanted to stay here, I'd encourage them to do so.
