Location and Switzerland 🇨🇭- what a great combination. Sat across from the lake, the room had a lake view, was spacious and comfortable with a traditional feel. We were able to just jump in the car and explore some amazing places and head out but if you wanted local transport the train was a 2-minute walk and it was very quiet at the hotel. The restaurant was great and we ate there both mornings and evening, it's a great location to get to so many of the sights. Really great stay..Thank you Lee and Katja.

Very little to be honest, we did struggle with parking sometimes as the restaurant is open to public also it always managed to park late on if it was a struggle- the only down side.

We booked a lake/mountain view room and it did not disappoint. We found the hotel and booked for the view. It had good parking, train was just over the road and the travel from Zurich airport was easy. It has a rustic charm and is so clean and well maintained. Our room was simple, very clean, had everything we needed and the staff were very helpful for anything we required. It is a great location to travel to Luzern, Interlaken etc. At the end of a busy day it was lovely to come back to the peaceful lakeside. Lungern has a great little restaurant near the caravan park, a bakery and shop for essentials. It has some stunning walks, no direction would disappoint. It is a 1.5hr walk from the hotel or a train stop. In hindsight, we would have got essentials in Zurich before heading to the hotel. The food at the hotel was amazing, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity provided. We did have breakfast one day and didn't realise it was a standard charge which set us back 120CHF. As two small people we opted to grab a croissant from a bakery most days. Every evening we ate at the hotel though and it was always perfect. The two best things about the hotel are the view and the staff. I honestly can't say how amazing and happy they were to help us. We will certainly be back again!

Beautiful stay over looking Lake Lungern. Extremely calm and relaxing. Beautiful views of the mountains and green countryside from our room. Continental breakfast was simple but lovely. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Not a dislike - just we stayed on a Tuesday night, and the restaurant at the accommodation is closed on a Tuesday and Wednesday, as a result the hotel was extremely quiet that evening. Would have enjoyed a bit more atmosphere around the place.

HOTEL STAFF IS AMAZING!!!! We stayed at the hotel overnight and went to Lungern in the morning via train (6min away), and needed to come back get the luggage and then go to Lucern. We don’t want to get off the train at the hotel and then wait for another hour to board the same train and the hotel staff waited with our luggages at the train station so we don’t need to get off!!!! Not to mention its location is very convenient and has an amazing lake and mountains view. It’s very cozy and nice

Beautiful lake view from room. We can seat in the bed to enjoy the beautiful lake Lungern. Convenient to take train - the station is just opposite to the hotel. The room is spacious with Swiss style. Surrounding environment is quiet. Staff in the hotel and restaurant are super nice. The breakfast is yummy. The dinner we had, especially chicken, was exclusively delicious. We like the hotel and its restaurant very much.

This is the second time I stayed in this property. All the staff are nice and very friendly, I felt warm with them. The food in their restaurant is very nice as well, I told them I missed their whole trout which was not in their menu anymore, the friendly and helpful staff went to the extent to ask their chefs to make that dish. The location is excellent as it just next to lake lungern.

Absolutely nothing!

It is just 100 metres from Kaiserstuhl OW station from where you can get a train in either direction every hour. Lake view is fantastic. Small town to take a leisurely walk. Very relaxing area.

The code for the key box was sent by email in German language so I did not notice it and was waiting outside the place for about 2 hours unnecessarily.

We loved beautiful lake side cosy atomosphere of the hotel room and the restaurant terrace. Some previous guests reviewed negative about the road side location, but it was not that annoying to us. Inside the hotel part looked like a country side motel, but we were amazed by room cleanness and decoration and wonderful lake view from large room windows and tarrace. We wish we could stay for longer than 1 night.

Nothing at all, except we were even shocked by the room rate compared with France. However, we believe that they are much more reasonable than other Swiss average hotels. Now we fully understand how minimum wage in Switzerland comes triple of France.

A beautiful hotel in an idyllic location! Fantastic views, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a delicious restaurant. All extremely dog friendly, our pup was spoilt rotten with treats from the staff, water each time we dined, a bed and water bowl in the room.

Only 1 small complaint, we asked for our room to be made up and only the beds were made. Water / coffee wasn't replenished, bin wasn't emptied and dirty cups left on the side. Also we had a family room (2 rooms in 1) but only 1 fan, could of done with 1 in each room.

Amazing view of the lake from the room; all the necessary facilities function well; the beds are comfortable; the restaurant and breakfast are very good ; staff super friendly; right next to the train station, easy to travel to different towns

The facilities are a bit old (nevertheless well functioning); the hotel is right next to a main road, so it’s quite noisy
