Location was good and bad. We had a balcony overlooking the nice lake view. It was convenient being near the train and boat dock. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast included. Helpful staff. Good wi-fi.

The location was too touristy for us, primarily because of people going to/from the trains and boat. Wires and banners obstructed the lake view. Had to pay 2fr. for a tiny cup of ice!

Great location and reasonable charges. We arrived late by train, the hotel is next to the train station which is very convenient. The reception area was closed when we arrived but the restaurant staff helped us and prepared sandwiches. The room was spacious with a kitchen, and could accommodate up to five people. The hotel breakfast was included which is convenient. After checkout, we stored our luggage at the hotel for the day.

The breakfast area needs screen protection to keep flies out, as it's challenging to enjoy a meal with them around. The room doesn’t have AC, but the nighttime temperature is comfortable if you keep the windows open. However, it would be nice to have window screens to prevent bugs from coming in.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Weisses Kreuz in Brienz. The hotel is charming, clean, and very comfortable. One of the best things is its location—right in front of the Brienz train station, just a minute’s walk away, which made traveling super convenient. The surrounding area is peaceful and scenic, perfect for a relaxing stay. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Brienz

All was good. Just had to keep an eye and catch early train from centre (eg Interlaken) not exceeding 9-9.30pm as transport late night can be a challenge in Switzerland.

The location is awesome. A minute's distance from Train, bus and ferry. View is awesome.

I feel the staff could have been more polite and put a smile on their faces. May be its a cultural difference as I am from India and I am used to very polite and helpful staff. Breakfast didn't have much options. Maybe that is how a Swiss breakfast would be. I had a good experience in Italy.

Ideal location next to the train station and the boat, mountain steam railway behind as well. Views across the lake were fantastic. Easy parking behind the hotel. Breakfast buffet had everything we needed and the Restaurant in the evening just as good. We were on a road trip and Hotel Weisses Kreuz was an ideal stop over to drive all the mountain passes near by.

Staff was great. Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant on premises, but I think it would have been good. Location was amazing, lake view, next to bus/train stations. On top of local tourism office. Excellent. Room was good as well.

The carpet was odd, if the room had air conditioning it would have been perfect. Maybe it might have been ok in the past, but termps have been getting hotter and hotter, and with the humidity the A/C is a must.

The location is near to the train station, the pier and the lake. The room is traditional and exactly the same as the pictures of the description. Lake view is good with bottles of beers!

Train noise is significant during the nights. The breakfast is basic and limited that you will find it if get up late.

Location was great and the staff very polite and nice , My room and bad is very comfortable very clean , I love it! And I love breakfast was good .If I get a chance, I will come back again, and I will introduce to my friends.

First night it was hard follow sleep , lot of noise from outside and downstairs I couldn’t sleep all night long.

Breakfast was excellent (but I lacked veggies) - fresh croissants, buns, bread, good selection of teas and coffees, freshly cut fruit salad. I am thankful to a lady staff who changed my room after i shared my concern about bed bugs, thank you so much.(and im not saying they have them, i was just afraid they might so i asked) Location is also good, right next to train station. Huge selection of tv channels

Only one staff person talked in English, the rest spoke no English and were even rude!! (Except for short hair lady with glasses, she was great) I shared my concern about bed bugs and the woman who spoke no English dared to argue with me about something she did not understand, basically tried to argue the fact that I booked a budget room so I should expect bugs.. Very unprofessional!!! It is also quite noisy in the morning and also when a neighbor takes a shower, you hear all the water going down the drain
