The location of the hotel was very nice, the breakfast was also delicious with a lot of options. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view.

When we were about to leave and close the bill there was a different person at the reception than during our stay. I prepaid our stay, except the breakfast and the fee for our dog. The receptionist insisted that I only paid for 1 night (instead of our full stay, 2 nights). I tried to show her the confirmation from Bookings and also from my bank but she became extremely rude and treated us like a garbage. She even acted out, by starting to throw things around and swearing. After she made a phone call and turned out that we were right, she didn't even apologize!

Our stay at Hotel Brienz had several highlights. The staff was very nice and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel offers free parking, which is a convenient perk for guests traveling by car. The breakfast was satisfactory, providing a decent start to the day. The hotel's location is fantastic, with stunning views and close proximity to the lake, which added a special touch to our stay.

However, there were a few downsides to our stay. The room facilities were quite outdated, and there was no cooler or fridge in the room, which would have been useful. Additionally, the bed was not very comfortable, which impacted our sleep quality.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was absolutely amazing, varied breakfast, allocable and homemade produce, continually replenished, and dinner was out of this world. We have thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would definitely come back when again in Brienz. Wholeheartedly recommend.

This place has exceeded our expectations and we could not fault it on anything.

This is an exceptionally well run hotel. Super clean, well organized, friendly and well situated. We enjoyed a lovely meal on our first evening - there is a new menu each evening made with fresh produce. The hotel is a five minute walk to the lake and there is a beach area, pool and play area which you can pay a small fee to enter. It is really perfect for families. The surrounding views of the hotel are fantastic.

There is nothing to dislike.

No doubt the view from the room was great. The room was nice with daily room service. Breakfast was good. We opted for dinner which was very great. It was very fresh and tasty. The walking route from the hotel to the main station was very good along lake brienz.

The transportation from and to the main station was a bit hard since the bus was not frequent enough.

The Brienz Hotel exceeded our expectations and gave us a truly Swiss experience. The restaurant staff served us thoughtfully, dressed in National Costume. They gave us advice on places to visit, transport and interesting local information. There is an excellent train service.

Location. Small, Botique hotel located slightly away from the main town. Excellent view of the lake, especially from the higher floors.

Breakfast spread can be slightly better. Considering you host so many non European tourists, the breakfast can be slightly better, no complaints though.

Perfect location and hotel is super nice. Staff was friendly. Breakfast could have had more variety. Over all very good place.

There was no place to heat up food or since the hotel rooms didn’t have a kettle, could have had a Common room for it to make tea with a microwave maybe ???

A wonderful hotel, with beautiful views, a charming and very helpful staff, excellent breakfasts, and a great restaurant for dinner (when you stay here, you get a big discount on an amazing multi-course gourmet dinner).

It is a bit east of the main part of town, about 10-15 minutes’ walk. We like to walk, but I thought I should mention this.

Flexibility, familiar atmosphere. The dinner was fantastic (you get the whole menu for the day), and the breakfast was great too. View is good from the balcony.

We don't became friends with the pillow. Sockets are not met the european standards, but the reception is very helpful to solve your charging problems.
