Very friendly hotelstaff. Although the breakfast was not very extensive, the quality was really high! Homemade marmelade, multiple choises of really great bread, very good coffee,.. We also chose the hotel because of the restaurant in the hotel, unfortunately it was closed during our stay, so check in advance if this is important to you. Availability of family rooms is an asset!

The pillows on the beds are of really poor quality (bring your own if you can). The airco is extremely noisy so you cannot leave it on at night. Since the children's beds in the family room are on the mezzanine, it became extremely hot at night without airco.

The room was so cosy. We booked the garden apartment with 2 bedrooms. The apartment was very clean and it was at the basement facing the mountains, which gave us a very fresh and cool air in the summer. The beds were very cosy and comfortable. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay but the surrounding was spectacular. We really enjoyed the scenery during breakfast.

There's only a standing fan provided for us in the mid-summer although we had two rooms in our apartment. But it was manageable. The reception area was always unattended but the staffs are always in the dining area or nearby to help us with anything.

Everything is just wonderful. The dinner is highly recommened. I was so proud of myself that I decided to book a table for that dinner. :P I usually don't stay in B&B hotels, because even though the software (staff, service, food...etc.) is almost always good, the facility is often lower than my expectation. However, it's totally not the case here with HOTEL ALPENROSE. The location is also perfect. Only 3 mins walk to the Trauffer Erlebniswelt, which was the main destination of our trip.

The bed is the only thing I would complain. The bed was very hard and the pillows were super soft and flat. After two nights of stay, my husband and I left with bodies in pain and really needed a good sleep. We definitely love to and want to stay here again. Maybe next time we'll bring our own pillows. Hopefully this problem will be solved before our next visit though.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The breakfast was excellent - it was not only incredibly delicious but also very local, giving me a taste of the authentic flavors of the region. The variety of options and the quality of the food made every morning a delightful experience. Furthermore, the staff was truly top-notch - they were 1 A class, super friendly, and incredibly sweet and kind. Their warm and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home throughout my stay. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and accommodating team to make my trip memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful experience with great food and exceptional hospitality

The hotel staff and the owner herself exemplify how customers should be treated. Everyone is polite, kind, and attentive to our needs. The view from the window is simply breathtaking! Top top top!! We have been traveling around the South Europe. We stayed at more expensive hotels there but this B&B hotel was one of the best. It was so cozy even the bad weather was in Swiss when we were there. The receptionist was very kind. Everything was perfect and we felt very pleasant. Again thank you so much for the warm welcoming and treat your guests so nicely. We will come back again next year as the room is available.Thank you so so much

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Alpenrose beim Ballenberg Hotel in Brienz, Switzerland, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the charming and kind host, Kathleen, who made our stay truly memorable. Kathleen's warm hospitality and genuine care for her guests created a welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. She was always available to offer helpful suggestions and recommendations for exploring the beautiful surroundings of Brienz, ensuring that we had the best experience possible during my stay. One of the highlights of the hotel was the fantastic view it offered and another delightful aspect of our stay was the wonderful coffee and breakfast provided by the hotel. Each morning, I was treated to a delicious spread of freshly brewed coffee and a variety of delectable breakfast options. From freshly baked breads to hearty and healthy choices, the breakfast was a true culinary delight. I must say that my experience at this hotel was so exceptional that I can easily envision myself returning in the future. I highly recommend staying at this place to anyone who's planning to make a visit in Brienz, Switzerland.

Nice staff. Amazing location with a beautiful view. The continental breakfast was very good. very quiet and peaceful location.

No body was present when we arrived in the late afternoon and our room key was left on the reception counter. The room was surprisingly very small. The room had a fan which did not help and was very warm at night. The room had no minimal amenities in it (no fridge, water, glasses or even a tea bag). The hotel had no enjoyable facilities and the outside balcony is completely dark in the evening.

Great views and very kind staff. The place is clean. They have thought about every little detail and all needs of the guests. There are lots of complementaries. Our golden retriever was warmly welcomed. My 4-year-old son was super happy with the play corner with many toys for different ages. He loved Ivona (from the staff) who paid special attention to him. We would be happy to return to this place one day.

Beautiful chalet, arranged with nice style. Simple, yet comfortably furnished rooms. Beautiful dining room, with stunning view. Nice selection of food for breakfast. Coffee, tea and hot drinks stations available on the corridors of each floor, free to use for all guests. If you feel like having a good-night drink - self-service bar is available in the dining room. If you need a lunch or dinner to be arranged for you - just mention it to the host, and they will take care of it (no walk-in restaurant, it works on demand).

One of our rooms was cold, when we arrived, but turning up the heating fixed a problem very quickly.
