staff was very helpful and considerate. I had a late check-in, was tired with all my luggage with me and had missed the bus(next bus was scheduled only only after1hr). Very difficult to get Taxi's too. Upon speaking with kathleen, she immediately sent the car to receive me at Brienz station. Im grateful for this kind gesture. Loved the warm ambience and the Peacefulness around the hotel❤️. Felt very safe as a solo traveller. Even though the hotel is away from Brienz main center, the bus line is very convenient and the bus stops right outside the hotel 👍 If you are staying with kids, Hotel is very close to the trautfer museum and the Ballenberg open air museum, which are great for children. Loved everything about Alpenrose hospitality.

It is a very laid back hotel away from the hustle and bustle .If you want peace and serenity than this is the place. The Staff was very friendly and approach with conversation. The dinner menu was excellent and reasonably priced. The Chef prepared to perfection. The Server Ivana is very nice and friendly. Breakfasts are included. The 151 bus runs up near the hotel, short walk to hotel with suitcases. I took the 151 bus from the Brienz Bahnhof. The Swiss Travel Pass is ideal. I may come back in a future trip. Nothing to dislike.

Very friendly hotelstaff. Although the breakfast was not very extensive, the quality was really high! Homemade marmelade, multiple choises of really great bread, very good coffee,.. We also chose the hotel because of the restaurant in the hotel, unfortunately it was closed during our stay, so check in advance if this is important to you. Availability of family rooms is an asset!

The pillows on the beds are of really poor quality (bring your own if you can). The airco is extremely noisy so you cannot leave it on at night. Since the children's beds in the family room are on the mezzanine, it became extremely hot at night without airco.

The room was so cosy. We booked the garden apartment with 2 bedrooms. The apartment was very clean and it was at the basement facing the mountains, which gave us a very fresh and cool air in the summer. The beds were very cosy and comfortable. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay but the surrounding was spectacular. We really enjoyed the scenery during breakfast.

There's only a standing fan provided for us in the mid-summer although we had two rooms in our apartment. But it was manageable. The reception area was always unattended but the staffs are always in the dining area or nearby to help us with anything.

The hotel was amazing. Cosy and comfortable. The rooms were perfect and soooo clean. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to see the major sights. So glad we chose this hotel. Thank u to the staff there. The hotel is situated behind mountains so the view is breathtaking and its very quiet and peaceful. It's near brienz so shopping sights all all very near less than an hour away for all.

Loved everything.

Everything is just wonderful. The dinner is highly recommened. I was so proud of myself that I decided to book a table for that dinner. :P I usually don't stay in B&B hotels, because even though the software (staff, service, food...etc.) is almost always good, the facility is often lower than my expectation. However, it's totally not the case here with HOTEL ALPENROSE. The location is also perfect. Only 3 mins walk to the Trauffer Erlebniswelt, which was the main destination of our trip.

The bed is the only thing I would complain. The bed was very hard and the pillows were super soft and flat. After two nights of stay, my husband and I left with bodies in pain and really needed a good sleep. We definitely love to and want to stay here again. Maybe next time we'll bring our own pillows. Hopefully this problem will be solved before our next visit though.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The breakfast was excellent - it was not only incredibly delicious but also very local, giving me a taste of the authentic flavors of the region. The variety of options and the quality of the food made every morning a delightful experience. Furthermore, the staff was truly top-notch - they were 1 A class, super friendly, and incredibly sweet and kind. Their warm and welcoming attitude made me feel right at home throughout my stay. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and accommodating team to make my trip memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful experience with great food and exceptional hospitality

The hotel staff and the owner herself exemplify how customers should be treated. Everyone is polite, kind, and attentive to our needs. The view from the window is simply breathtaking! It is in a very nice village. As a family we stayed in the garden apartment, where we could directly access to the garden and a spectacular view with mountains, waterfall, meadows and roses. The apartment had two spacious rooms, which is ideal for a family. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the Ballenberg Open Air Museum.

Everything was perfect!

We were welcomed like family to this beautiful hotel in Brienz, set in a quiet valley with extraordinary mountain views! After an amazing day at Ballenberg this hotel was just 2mins drive away. They dried our coats and produced an amazing supper even though the chef wasn't due to start for another 2 days! The staff were so friendly and made us feel incredibly welcome. We would love to come back one day!
