-view from the room was excellent, always looking forward to the morning. room was spacious, had a tap inside so u can do some light washing up in the morning. -shared toilet was clean, but have to either shower early or later to have a steady flow of hot water. -the washing machine and dryer were godsent. -counter staff was very helpful with travel advice. -common area was good for meals! bring your own heating pots as they only have a kettle and microwave to heat up food. -many places to walk to and explore around iseltwalt

not a complaint, but if you want the convenience to and fro the other major attraction(Grindelwald/Lauterbrunnen), you have to catch the right bus timing.

The staff is the best single adavantage of this hostel, you can get advice or just have a nice chat. Location is perfect: very pleasant little village on the lake shore, in the evening very quiet. Perfect base for exploration of the Alps. Adjacent bar is also very nice. Parking has sufficient capacity, no problem with that.

Ok, it's a hostel, you meet with various people here, equipment is appropriate. Kitchen is basicaly a microwave (no stove), fridge (no freezer) and sink. Floors are kind of noisy. If you don't have a car, the location may seem a bit isolated.

A great place to stay that has a room like a hotel, but the shared things you'd find in a hostel. Downstairs there is a kitchen and lounge area as well as a nice seating place in front. The hotel is right on the water, great views but a bit cold to swim (November). There is a shared bathroom in the hallway and also some more to use downstairs. Big parking lot in the back for your car, or there is a bus into Interlaken about every hour, depending on the season. It doesn't run often or late in the evening so make sure to check the schedule. Free bus pass is provided as well as coupons for activities. Wifi works on the top floor. Friendly staff.

Beautiful location - right opposite the lake. The most convenient was the bus service to interlaken ost. That ensured that staying in Iseltwald was smooth since all our trains and crusade stayed from there. We were a group of 6 and we got the entire room to ourselves. And although we didn’t have a private bathroom, it wasn’t inconvenient. The staff was really friendly - smooth check in and check out process and they arranged the travel passes for us.

Maybe a toaster would help in the common kitchen space and the rooms are a little dark so extra lighting would be a plus. There are no buses after 8.05 so travel could get a lil tricky then.

Very practical and clean hostel woth everything you need and very helpful and kind staff.

Given the walls and floor are of wood, you hear a lot the other clients of the hostel. We were woken up multiple times by rude clients that did not care nor respect for others sleep and made a lot of noise for an hour at 5 in the morning. The second night, the kids of another family kept running around all morning from 6 AM in the corridors and the parents never cared to tell them to calm down. I know this isn’t the hostels fault and there are earplugs given to help you sleep, but be aware that you can’t really control who sleeps with you in the hostel and that some clients may be rude so don’t expect to catch up on sleep there.

It was a smaller room (got a corner room the previous day which was spacious, this one not so much), although value for money of course. Super nice location, where you can wake up to amazing views of the lake and mountains. Area is really safe and peaceful. Everything was clean within the whole accommodatio . Hassle free check in/out. Staff were great. There’s kitchen where you heat your food up and make your own coffee/tea for free. Recommended for groups of friends or family. Rooms are very basic though but very clean and already made up as soon as you arrive; beds/pillows are comfortable for a good night’s sleep; you have your own sink in the room. Although shower and toilet are outside the rooms and shared, they are really clean and well-heated so really good for winter times. The only thing is there are no towels provided but you can rent them at CHF2 each. Better bring your own towels :) All in all, we loved our stay. Place is not for those who like fancy places. This place is basic but well maintained and you can see the owners value their guests.

We loved the beautiful rustic lakeside location in the charming Swiss town! The outdoor firepit was a lovely bonus and we used it both nights we were there. It was so quiet and peaceful and a nice change from the busy cities. We were there in December which was gorgeous, but would like to return during a warmer time to take advantage of the kayaks on the lake. (Bunk)beds were comfy with nice linens and the hostel was plenty warm. Also, make sure to check out the cheese vending machine up the road.

Not a drawback, but make sure to bring your food with you as there isn't much in the town - at least in December. It's about a 20 or 30 minute (beautiful!) bus ride to Interlaken. Showers were fine - old-time, hostel-like.

The location of the hotel was just a few minutes walk from the CLOY filming spot. The staff was very nice and friendly. The communal area was clean. There was a kettle, a microwave, a refrigerator to store your own food. There was also free coffee and tea. The view from the balcony of our room was magnificent. We stayed at the 3rd floor. The common toilet was also clean. The hostel will also give you a free interlaken pass, it is a free ride to all interlaken areas. We will surely come back and stay in this hotel. 100% Recommended ✅

No comment about the property itself. I was just a bit disappointed of the guest who also stayed there especially during our second night. The guests who just check in late at night were so noisy, it was around 11pm to 1am. You can see to the hotel that it was made of wood so whenever you walk it will create a creek sound which everyone in the same floor can hear, even when you talk or snore at night. Those people that night were inconsiderate of others who were already sleeping.

Excellent Lake View (depending on room) and balcony. Perfect spot for taking bus rides and the CLOY jetty scene. Room was warm enough. Nice staff. Dining and living room is made to be shared by guests, complete with game boards, etc. Available kitchen utensils, fridge and microwave and of course the fresh tasting tap water!

Creaking walls and floors, thin walls where you can hear next room noises, which i think is acceptable since its cabin style. Shared toilet and bathroom. Keys are intermitently working. No elevators. No TV. In room.
