We had a very large room with a bed and seating area, a lot of windows, and balconies on two sides. There was a large bathroom with good lighting. The location was very central and within easy walking distance of the train station, even with suitcases. The manager was very helpful, including coming quickly in the evening when I needed some assistance with the key. We liked the classic, slightly worn decor that wasn't overly updated and retained a warm, homey feeling. The breakfast selection was very good.

A self-service coffee machine at breakfast or an instant coffee in the room might have been nice, but there were no major negatives.

Room lovely, clean very warm reception from the staff, honestly it was lovely. Over the road is a lovely restaurant and next door one of the main Apres Ski bars so great location for food and drink. Breakfast was perfect with all options. I must also mention the Spar which is as good as any i have been in. The showers down there are perfect for a bigger guy like me that down not easily fit in a bath or bath type shower. The Hotel is a little too Warm for me and I had to turn down all the heaters and the bed way to soft for me and gave me a bad back but my Mrs loved it and is now moaning our bed at home is too hard. What I am saying is its lovely and most people will be very happy here. I am planning on a summer visit to Paraglide and would look to stay here again.

If you are skiing the Hotel is right in the middle of the 2 main areas you need to get too and the walk for me in Ski Boots is not an option as just too far so I walked in normal boots and carried ski boots and it was still a long way after skiing. Obviously that can be helped by frequent stops at bars! The location however for all other things is perfect.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location was near bus stop, and short walk from main train station. The breakfast was good, including delicious coffee and fruit

The twin bed was very small and next to wall, so I wasn't very comfortable. Also, I hit my head and arm several times during a restless night on a built in table attached to the bed headboard. Room was very small, but I was able to fit suitcase under bed. The shower area had a very narrow entry. I am a petite woman, but a larger woman or man would have difficulty . I thought the room rate was expensive

This property was one of the best place we stayed in Europe, Location with overlooking view of Matterhorn from the Balcony, The accessibility to the main station, which only 10mins walk, the comfortable bed and Sofa inside the room, a lot of space for clothes, the huge Water Closet with bathtub and of course the nice breakfast. So sad that we only stayed here for a night, but highly recommended to anyone finding accommodation for any season. This hotel also surrounded by multiple choices of restaurants.

We loved the traditional charm of the hotel. The duvets and pillows were fantastic and we loved the wrap around balcony. Breakfast was fabulous with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The staff were so helpful and prepared a breakfast bag for us on the second day as we were getting the Glacier Express Train at 7:52. The hotel is close to the Cable cars for Matterhorn and 10-15 mins from train station on foot. The sauna was enjoyable too.

The bathroom needs updating but the bathtub was appreciated.

I had a very pleasant stay here - it was nice and quiet, clean, well-located, and the staff was very friendly. I found this to be a great value compared to other accommodation in the area. Breakfast was better than another that I had in town with an activity I purchased. I did not try the sauna.

It was all great. The place is dated, but still more clean and functional than some new hotels I've stayed at.

Good location, near the area that can see the Matterhorn the most clearly. Very spacious, clean, bright and romantic room with a spacious balcony. The smoked wood flooring made our feet feel warm in cold weather (3oC at night) even without carpet. Good breakfast ☺️

The heating system didn’t work during our stay. Even though it wasn’t a very cold day in Zermatt, it would have been better if it had been working because it was raining all day and we had got wet when arriving at the hotel. So the tile floor in the bathroom was very cold also.

Centrally located and an easy walk to the bus stop for lifts, easy walk to coop for food and bars and restaurants. Great drying room, perfect breakfast before a day on the slopes. We booked this place because it was all that was available at the last minute, but we would definitely return here. Mark the owner is the 2nd generation here and is quite the host. Our stay felt like you were catching up with family and had a room with a bathroom to yourself. The wellness area is awesome! Two saunas and a steam room and a relax area… hope to return here again, one of our more memorable stays on our 6 month honeymoon. Well done mark and team 👍

We loved this hotel. It is very traditional Swiss with exposed beams and high ceilings. The balcony was nice to go out on even in the cold. Breakfast had good variety and staff were very friendly. We walked from the train station which took about 10 minutes although the hotel do have a driver that you can pre arrange if need be. The room was very clean and spacious.

Might have been nice if the restaurant was open in the evening so we had the option of not leaving the hotel however I noticed that alot of hotels do not operate their restaurants so maybe this is just the way it is. The room was on the expensive side however I think supply and demand dictates this as Zermatt was very busy this week so understandable.

Great location close to the town centre. Breakfast was simple but nice with rolls, cheese and meats as well as cereal. Property was clean with a small balcony. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was a good size with lots of storage.

Was noisy at night, not properties fault but wanted to make others aware. Mainly from people in the street as is busy area but were woken up early each morning by people heading home after bars. Shower gel/shampoo was in sachets which was just a bit awkward to use, had to go to supermarket to pick up some bottles.
