We liked everything about the hotel! The staff were friendly. The breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was delicious and fresh. We rented one of the apartments, which was very roomy and offered kitchen facilities for us to prepare meals in house, which was a savings for our family. The highlight was the spa facilities, which included a sauna, steam room, whirlpool and amazing rain-shower showerheads. Also, the location is very close to the bus which takes skiers to the lift locations.

Everything was wonderful. Room was spotless clean and comfortable . The big brown chair was the best part of the room. Best place to relax after a long day. Staff is friendly and nice.

The only negative thing is that the church next to the hotel loves to ring their bells . 15 min before full hour they start ringing their bells non stop 10 -15 min straight. Absolutely horrible, but clearly hotel can not do anything about it .

The location was fantastic! Close to the Zermatt train station, as well as midway between the two slope access stations Sunnegga and Matterhorn Express. It was a three minute walk and an elevator ride to the free bus which serviced both ski areas. We had a self catering studio that was large and really well equipped including a hot plate and oven. There are grocery stores 10 minutes walk away but also a small well stocked convenience store less than five minutes. Very close to the main drag we had plenty of options for restaurants. The spa and sauna were wonderful after a long day skiing. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We were extremely happy with our accommodation!!!!

The pillows weren’t great

We loved everything about this property. We had a beautiful studio apartment which was perfect for our three night stay in Zermatt.Our room was located I the Ritz Chalet and was outstanding. The size of the room was perfect for two and was exceptionally clean and well equipped, allowing us to self cater if need be. Within walking distance to the Main Street with many cafe and restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a stay in Zermatt.

That we couldnt stay for longer in this beautiful part of the world.

We are forever grateful to the Matterhornblick for evacuating us from their hotel during this summer's flood which filled their basement and caused them to lose all power. They arranged for all of their guests to stay in another, more luxurious hotel at the same price as the Matterhornblick, and found a chef to make dinner for all of us in the new hotel's kitchen which wasn't normally open for dinner. With the roads and train still cut off, we were also allowed to stay for a second night at the Matterhornblick's rate. We will never forget their service and generosity in spite of all of the damage they must have suffered to their property. It speaks also to the values of all of their staff and to their owners. The hotel is in an ideal location, and I hope everyone will consider staying with them as soon as they are able to reopen.

We stayed in Chalet Ritz with small kitchenette and the room was excellent in everyway. We were across from where you store ski equipment, so it was very convenient. Julen Sport also delivers and picks up your ski equipment (and gives 10% discount) which made it very convenient even though it is a 10 minute walk to Julen Sport.

My daughter and I didn't love the breakfast options, but I think it is what you would expect at a 3 star hotel. You have to boil your own eggs and the only other protein options are the cold meats. I am gluten free and though they didn't have any GF offerings, they were happy to order it for the next day. The coffee and drink options are very good.

Hotel was around 15 min walk from Zermatt Train Station. Room was clean and nicely furnished with a balcony. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Great breakfast spread to get you going through the day. If you are bringing a lot of luggage, suggest inform the hotel ahead so that they can pick you up at the train station. The taxi ride is CHF10 and takes only 3-5 mins. Overall very nice hotel to stay in Zermatt and will certainly stay there again.

The hotel room was extremely clean! The breakfast was wonderful, complete with freshly cut prosciutto every morning. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was halfway in between the train and the gondola. Both walking distance. The location was also walking distance to lost restaurants and shopping. The spa area was modern and well equipped.

Check-in was very good with one of the owners in attendance - a very efficient, enthusiastic lady. We had a ground floor room in the annexe, which had a rather strange entrance, down some stairs & through the ski-room but not a problem. Lights were on a movement alert system. Breakfast was ok. One could only have boiled eggs - no other choice.

Breakfast choices could have been better - certainly a more varied 'cooked egg' choice. The lady owner is the driving force. Unfortunately, she was only there during initial reception & 1st day breakfast. Her son & another gentleman were 'on duty' for our subsequent breakfasts and didn't have the same efficiency as 'Mum'.

The room was amazing and downright luxurious for what I normally get in Switzerland. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location was in an easy walking distance from the train station.

The wellness facilities are not fully operational yet, and are only open between 4 and 8 pm, and this wasn't obvious when booking. (We did get a discount for this without even asking for it though, so that was nonly a minor inconvenience).
