The decoration is modern and chic,love it! 10 mins walk from train station.

1. All room are non-Matterhorn view.(so the price is relatively high) 2. The front desk staff are all fine and polite, just not as kind as you expected. 3. Not professional! We stayed two nights, the welcoming msg was sent twice automatically and we can’t use our card to the room on the 2nd day ,we had to find the front desk to reset again. Also, we sent a msg in the first day and they replied until we already left.(means they replied in the 3rd day) 4. Cleaning isn’t perfect. We found an underwear after checked in, I guessed it was from the last client, and the cleaning staff overseeing it. I don’t blame the lady, but it still make us feel a little disgusted. And we reported to the front desk, they sent a lady to take it. That’s all.

Hotel Tannenhof was great! everything was as represented! The surfaces were upscale & felt "new-ish" (maybe recently remodeled) our room was small but very comfortable, had a nice balcony with seating... the room had a high vaulted wood ceiling with large wood beams which added to the ambience of Switzerland... There was a really nice pod coffee machine in the room! The breakfast was very nice with granolas, mueslis, yogurts, meats, cheeses, fresh croissants & breads.. and fresh juices... high end Jura machines for caffe, cappacinnos, etc,,, the restaurant inside the hotel was fabulous, with great foods & wines and the service was outstanding

Fabulous staff, friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely quiet and modern rooms, good breakfast ( but don’t arrive near the end of service!), very close to the heart of Zermatt and the train station.

We found the heating was set a bit too high for our liking and it could not be turned down, even though there is a thermostat in the room - we just opened a window.

Convenient location, a bit of a walk from the trains with ski equipment and shoes but still manageable. Able to go up Sunnega and Gornergrat. Ski room and locker facilities are good. A bit quieter as it's just off the main street, which is nice. Very modern, spacious and clean room, showers are hot with good water pressure. Really enjoyed having the nespresso machine and capsules in the room. There's a view of matterhorn from the breakfast room on a clear day. Would be nice to have hot dishes for breakfast like scrambled eggs/sausages/potatoes.

Fantastic location right next to the central Zermatterhof, about halfway between the railway shuttle station and the lift going to Glacier Paradise. Hotel was very modern and very clean. Having your own dedicated ski locker in the ski room is one of the best perks. You can have a decent view of the Matterhorn from the breakfast area on a clear day. The room makes good use of the small space. I love the natural wood floors throughout the property and the sleek marble tiles in the bathrooms. The staff were really friendly and provided me with blankets and bowls for my dog.

The Classic Double Room was surprisingly small and the double bed took up almost all of the floor space. One person will always be in the way. Although the quality of the continental breakfast was great, I wish they provided more hot food other than hard boiled eggs.

Lovely place! Right in the middle of Zermatt, very convenient to the train stations and restaurants. Excellent breakfast. The Italian Restaurant two floors down is the Bomb! Great pizzas, and a cool historic electric locomotive right in the middle of it all. Pleasant bar too. Good elevator system. Front desk staff were really pleasant and knowledgeable, always willing to help answer questions.

- Our room and was a bit cramped compared to what we're used to, but it opened onto a beautiful sizeable balcony overlooking a lovely garden where we could relax and sip beverages in the evening. - The street could be noisy at night from foot traffic, and in the early morning due to the renovation work on the adjacent hotel, but nothing some earplugs didn't solve when necessary.

The hotel was in great location in the center, very close to restaurants and ski areas. The staff was helpful and nice.

The hotel breakfast was okay, it would be nice to have options to order omelettes/crepes for breakfast. Overall in Zermatt, the taxi experience was awful. As this is a car free zone, I would expect better management of taxis by the local authority, either they do not show up when you call them or they're selecting the destination and not taking you in if the distance is short etc.

Great location, the Hotel Tannenhof is in the middle of the village - very easy to get around. We stayed in the family apartment in the roof which is very spacious but with two adult sized kids the 2nd bedroom sloped roof was a bit of a pain - literally - a few bumped heads! Impeccably clean and modern space and the small fridge and coffee machine was very handy.

Loved everything about our stay - would be even better if the family apartment had a kitchenette as there is plenty of room for it.

This hotel was awesome. So quaint and cozy. The restaurant on site was delicious, one of our favorites of our trip and the breakfast bar every morning was fantastic. We stayed in the family apartment on the top floor and it was amazing. It had two separate rooms (one with twin beds for our two kids and one for us parents with a king). The AC worked and worked well. There were large skylights in each room (that closed if you wanted them to) so you could see the stars at night. Truly unique. We also had a little peak a boo view of the Matterhorn. Loved this place.

I can't think of a single thing that I didn't like about this place. Seriously. I only wish we would have booked more days here. It was amazing.

Incredibly friendly staff. Very clean accommodation. Lovely breakfast available till 10 and with checkout not till 11, we could really enjoy our morning till the last day. Great location - near the river, restaurants & ski lift.

There's no central heating, and the room was actually quite warm, which would be great in winter, but as we were there in April it was quite hot. So we had to sleep with the window open, but then you could hear the sounds from the stree.
