We had two rooms here (one with private bathroom, one with shared bathroom). Breakfast was good, reception nice. Free instant coffee next to reception. Outstanding view of the city square from one of the rooms and a view of Matterhorn from the other. Zermatt itself is amazingly beautiful. Toiletries and towels were available. Interesting system for leaving the key and picking up the night access token. It met our expectation as we were there for hiking and not staying around.

For the room with shared bathroom it was awkward having a common balcony with another room.

The location was absolutely perfect—ideal for a quiet and wholesome family getaway. The room was cozy and homie, providing everything we needed, although it was a bit on the smaller side. This isn’t a fancy, high-end place, but it’s perfect if you're looking for a peaceful retreat. The staff were amazing, always friendly and accommodating. I requested some Swiss chocolates to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and they surprised us with a beautiful bag of assorted high-end chocolates waiting for us on the bed—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast was fantastic—traditional Swiss fare that left us full and energized for our day of snowboarding and sightseeing. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, overlooking the stunning Alps. Overall, a wonderful stay that we’d highly recommend!

A couple of small things to note: The shower was quite tiny—while it did the job, it was definitely on the smaller side. Also, we had booked a queen bed, but it was two twin beds pushed together, which felt a little strange. That said, we weren't in the room much, as we were out exploring, so it didn’t really affect our stay.

The owners, Lucas and Jennifer, and their staff looked after us exceptionally well during a period of being snowed in and made sure we had everything we needed. It felt like being cared for by friends or family. The hotel is in a great location with views of the Matterhorn a few metres away as well as close to walking trails. Restaurant downstairs has very good traditional food at reasonable prices for Switzerland (cheapest beer we found in Zermatt!). Breakfast was great. Plenty of choice of cereal, yoghurts, fruit, meat, cheeses, eggs, bread and pastries, drinks (inc. decaf coffee). Great value for Zermatt and staff shared information proactively.

Hotel Weisshorn was the perfect place for what we were looking for in Zermatt. This place is all about location for a reasonable price. Rooms are cozy and quiet. The shared bathroom are newly renovated. Everything was always clean. Very Kind reception staff and very helpful with letting our bags to be stored. Appreciated the free Tea and Coffee near reception. Breakfast was good, all you need and good cappuccino. The service at breakfast was ok. This will be definitely my place to come back in Zermatt town.

localisation is really great and comparing the prices in Zermatt - the price was quite reasonable - it is just the city centre, everything is within the walking distance - train station, cable cars, bars, restaurants, shops - breakfast is a very good choice, because it is served just at 7.30, so you don't have to worry about food in the morning - simply eat and go to the mountains. Nice choice of food - all kinds of cheese were delicious and you can choose coffee as you want - after coming back in the evening we received hot water to make tea in the room - it could be quite difficult to get there, but we were given detailed instructions so we managed to get there without any problems.

to soft beds - my spine suffered a lot - It would be nice to change mattresses for sth more suitable - generally all the place needs a little refreshment, but maybe it should be like this, because it creates the atmosphere of Zermatt .......??? To consider for the Owners :)

Staff were super friendly. They spent lots of time giving us recommendations and helping us with our itenary of Zermatt. They also informed us of the cute goats passing the hotel approx 16.45pm which was a really unique experience to see. Breakfast was delicious and great options - yoghurts, fresh breads, meats, fruits, boiled eggs, selection of hot drinks… perfect start to a busy day. Our room had views of the village on one side and the Matterhorn on the other. Luckily weather was also excellent which allowed for perfect visibility.

Great location in the middle of Zermatt and very close to the train station (not even a 10 min walk). The staff (owners?) are great. I had a late check in and an early checkout but everything went very smooth. Got clear instructions when I arrived and they made sure some breakfast was available when I left. Also got some good info on what to do while I was there. The shared facilities were very clean, and the room was nice with a little balcony. Eventhough there was a lot of noise outside with the river and town inside it was quiet. Bed was very comfy.

The rooms are a little outdated but that didn’t really bother me.

Location was right in the middle of town and perfect walking distance from shopping, food, good overlooks of the matterhorn, and train station. Breakfast was really good! Many options and good coffee. We could store our bags. The room had a comfortable balcony and decent amount of space for all our stuff. Communication for late check in both pre-trip and day of was excellent and very clear.

No elevator, made it a bit challenging to bring our heavy bags up to the 2nd floor. If you prefer to pay for the ease of getting your bags to/from your room, feel free to stay elsewhere. We didn't mind.

The room is clean and spacious. The view of the town from the balcony is beautiful, especially in the early morning hours. The WiFi connection is good. The hotel is close to shops, restaurants, the gondola lift station and train station. There is a restaurant below the hotel, which is convenient if you are too tired to go out. You can leave your luggage as well during check out if you have other plans for that day and come back to get.

No lift. You have to carry your luggage on the stairs which is a bit of exercise.

Lovely and warm place.. the hostess at reception was the best we experienced.. she is always willing to help as the hotel doesn’t have a lift. That gesture won our hearts. She welcomed us and settled us in really well.. allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. Her recommendations helped our outings very much. They have a safe luggage room where u can drop your bags in case you arrive before the check in time. Well lit stairs and corridors.. made our experience in zermatt exceptional.
