We loved everything about our experience at Hotel Parnass. We spent 7 nights in Zermatt leading up to New Year’s Day and our accommodations could not have been better. Adeel, his family, and his team provided second to none service with a genuine and personal touch. The hotel is spotless with AMAZING unobstructed views of the Matterhorn. Location could not be beat, right in the heart of all the dining and shopping that the gorgeous village of Zermatt has to offer. Being right next to a ski lift bus stop (5 minute ride to Matterhorn Express Lift) and a short 7 minute walk to the Gornergrat rail station and the main train station was incredibly convenient. All of this at a reasonable price by Zermatt standards made for an incredible experience during our family vacation. Thank you Adeel and team for helping us achieve a dream vacation come true!

Greeted with a friendly welcome fast checkin and escorted to room. Excellent location walk to/from train station. Close to all restaurants, skiing facilities and all town amenities. Room was well appointed, well maintained and comfortable. Buffet Breakfast was plentiful and the catering staff were friendly and professional even when a severe snow storm hit and there was no power for a few days the buffet breakfast was not disrupted. Due to the snow storm I want to thank senior management and all office staff, cleaners and dinning staff for a job well done in keeping everyone informed and very happy. I have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Parnass.

Friendly welcome with a smile. Excellent accommodation close to station, restaurants, shops, skiing facilities and all amenities in Zermatt. Room clean well appointed and maintained. Excellent professional job by management and all staff before and during a severe snow storm which caused loss of.electricity, trains stopped and road closed for a few days and the staff went out of their way to help all guests. Best part of the stay was the view from the balcony-the Matterhorn in all its glory. I spent the night in Zermatt after a day on the Glacier Express. I live in Switzerland and Zermatt is not my favorite place in the Valais-too many people crammed into a small village. It is however the only place where you can see this amazing mountain up close and personal, so I come here every once in a while. The hotel is next to a little river (kind of a brook that has a lot of glacier run off) and the sound of rushing water is a sleep inducer. The room was small but everything was well thought out and impeccably maintained. The bathroom looked like it had been renovated recently. Everything was spotlessly clean. Luxury soap and lotion in the bathroom was wonderful. The personnel were super!

Room size- not a problem for me but if you like a bigger room you might want to consider booking a double room for a single person. Don’t depend on Google maps to get you to the hotel! I walked around for 20 minutes and the hotel is only a 6 minute walk from the train station. Ask the hotel for directions or take an electric taxi there the first time.

Our stay at Hotel Parnass was wonderful. It is centrally located to the main area of the city. One of the main lift areas (Sunegga) is an 8 minute walk from the hotel. The Cog Railway station is about a ten minute walk to the station, however, there is a bus stop near Sunegga. The hotel rooms are very nice if you just need a clean, comfortable place to stay; it is not a 5 star hotel. There is a nice sitting area with coffee available all the time. A very nice breakfast is served, which is included in the price of the room. The rooms are clean and well kept. Most importantly, I found the best thing about the hotel is that all of the staff were friendly, attentive, and most helpful in all respects. If you don't need all of the amenities of a 5 star hotel, I highly recommend the Hotel Parnass. Should I return to Zermatt, I will stay there again.

For my needs, there was nothing lacking, thus, there is nothing negative I can say.

The hotel has a good location, it's on the edge of the historic center, so the area is not crowded. The river is noisy but the windows cover it very well. You can see the Matterhorn from the balcony. It's easy to get to supermarkets, train station, to the main street. The staff is nice. I appreciated that they changed the sheets after a beer accident.

Breakfast could have more types of local cheeses. A minibar/fridge in the room would be good in the future.

The room-with-a-view was unbelievable! The Matterhorn view was directly out the balcony door. It was so majestic! Also, the location was unbeatable! We walked straight to Sunnega tram every morning! The ski/boot drying room were a real plus. We also really like the breakfast! Last thing, John at the desk went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to be helpful! He is part of the reason that we would return back to this property.

It would have been nice if some of the breakfast items were rotated for some variety or if hot food options were available.

Incredible balcony view of Matterhorn. Comfortable, grassy patio area with afternoon sun facing the Matterhorn. Great breakfast with good service (free coffee is a big deal in Switzerland). Efficient elevator. Very helpful receptionist. Community refrigerator in basement. Convenient location for walking from train station - 7 mins on ~same elevation.

Shower on the small side (common in European Hotels). Located on busy intersection but not that big of deal.

- The view of the Matterhorn from the balcony is outstanding. - Location is close to the train station, totally walkable distance with any luggage. - The river flows next to the hotel, it's a bit noisy but in a good and relaxing way, and the windows isolate most of the sound at a perfect level anyway.

- The breakfast was not so consistent, it didn't include omelette or sausages. - The room is small, but the balcony is perfect.

We had an amazing stay here at Hotel Parnass. They had such a nice commercial gesture towards us that completely changed positively the dynamic of our trip. The room was nice, and the breakfast amazing. They have a cute space where everyone can gather to read, talk, or play games. They also provide good meal deals with some restaurants. We went to one of their suggestions and it was great! The location is also perfect! Really a very pleasant experience overall! We will be back. Thank you!

Loved the hotel and location plus the Matterhorn view from our room was awesome. What we did not like was the bedding. Seems to be the way they make beds in Switzerland as we have found this in other towns and hotels. No top sheet. Only a loose fitting comforter for cover. And the radiator heat, even on the lowest setting, is too hot at night. So did not need the comforter, but top sheet would be nice. The included breakfast was very nice. Plenty of delicious options.
