The amazing view of the Matterhorn outside our extra large balcony. Hotel facility was also great! The swimming pool was super clean, gym though small was enough for a day or 2 to catch up on workout. The steam and sauna were also super clean and efficient. The rooms were decent size and beds comfortable. The armoire was helpful to store luggage and get a little organized. Breakfast was also lovely. The staff were amazing! I love this place and highly recommend to anyone coming to Zermatt and wanting a perfect experience!

Going up from the street to reach the reception may not be very safe for older people or younger children. For some reason it was inconvenient to reach the outdoor dining table. Wasn’t sure if the staff didn’t want u to go outside or something but the doors were locked and hard to open. The shower area is typical of old euro style with swinging cover and can allow water to spill on the floor.

Great room, great view, delicious breakfast. Option to order additional breakfast like bacon and omelette, although it's a bit oily. Free access to swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna with Matterhorn view. Free porter to pick us up to and from Zermatt Bahnhof upon checkin and checkout. Bathroom has body lotion and heating rack.

No daily mineral water provided compared to other hotels we have stayed in, but we can still drink from tap water. They are chargeable at CHF 2 from receptionist, or can be bought cheaper at groceries stores nearby.

The hotel’s location is perfect - near the main street but quieter. The room (Junior suite) was spacious and comfortable and had a very nice view of the Matterhorn. The hotel room was perfectly clean and had everything needed. The hotel staff and owners are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Very nice and always smiling staff. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, cereals, breads, types of egg preparations, ham, cheese, and pastries. The hotel offers spa and wellness facilities, modern gym, and a heated swimming pool. Perfect after a day hike. Great hospitality and a charming hotel. Look forward to my next visit!

Terraced rooms facing Matterhorn are worth the splurge as they offer ever changing views of the most photographed iconic mountain and create a picnic atmosphere.Full view windows and door open up to beautiful floral Zermatt. Room was clean, comfy and had fridge,safe,tub/shower combo.The spa area was small but cosy and only had a few guests each time we visited. Breakfast rates excellent in service, selection and,stunning views with eggs to order,lots of fruit.Zermatt can be pricey but we enjoyed the room terrace for pickup meals and drinks.Stayed 4 nights, hotel was quiet, immaculate, and in heart of Zermatt 5 min stroll to Gonergrat rail,Coop grocer,train station,info/ticket center. Book with confidence.We stayed July 2025 peak season and hotel seemed quiet, calming spa like,relaxing.We unpacked upon arrival which atests to the laid back relaxed atmosphere.

No deal breakers with Metropol Hotel, a couple of stairs on entry-they have a electric vehicle pickup service.Spa could get busy as it's small area but luckily we found it quiet.Rooms are carpeted which we prefer not.Slippers and robe provided.

Needed a room overnight, and got it for a very good price. Was on groundfloor but still so high up that people didn´t see in my window from the street. The room was spacious and very nice and clean, shower and shower facilities were very good. It also had a small fridge so I could keep my drinks cold (it was very warm in Zermatt when I was there) The hotel had gym, sauna, pool and hot tub and I´m probably forgetting something. The staff were very, very, very nice and helpful and gave me alot of tips of what to do and see in Zermatt itself. The breakfast was very good. Checkout time was at 11am or 12am, not really sure. The hotel also has the option to keep your stuff safe after you check out if you want to do some more sightseeing before you leave. Really nice hotel and if I ever come back to Zermatt this will be my first choice to check out for room.

Tbh, I don´t recall anything that I didn´t like at this hotel.

Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the spa area was a wonderful place to relax after a day out. We also had beautiful views from our room, which made the stay even more special. The location is fantastic, the FO Stephanie was lovely, so are the other team members, driver, restaurant staff, very friendly, made me feel like home. The room was clean, bathroom spotless, nice welcome note too. Best part is the pool & love the jacuzzi, where you have a clear view outside, it’s snowing & you are in the hot tub :-) very relaxing after a day around the village.

My only feedback is more of my personal preference. Mattress is soft & pillow was too soft to my liking, thankfully I am able to use the small sofa cushion for a firmer pillow substitute.

Traveled with friends and stayed 3 nights here. The staff was extremely welcoming and nice. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent for me, as I am a whole food plant based eater, and there were plenty of options for me. Upon check in, the clerk noticed that I would be having a birthday while staying at the hotel. The morning of my birthday, at breakfast, they had provided me with the best table for views of the Materhorn, along with a decorated table. In addition, they provided a cake from a local bakery. This type of thoughtfulness you don't get much in the states. Also made use of the pool/hot tub and steam/sauna, which was very nice. The hotel is nicely located, no problem walking around to all the restaurants, shops, train station, etc. I had a river view room. My friends had a room with an outdoor deck area with outstanding views of the Materhorn.

Nothing comes to mind for what I didn't like. Apparently, it's common in Europe to have a shower door that doesn't cover the entire shower, so water may get out. But, this was not a big deal for me.

Comfortable cozy room. Had indoor heated pool and jacuzzi. Staff was excellent and helped me with some local hiking suggestions. Breakfast was great. They make you custom omlettes and have a good spread of other pastries and stuff. Coffee was meh!

Room was very small for the price. Mine had a single twin mattress and barely room to walk around. Maybe this is a Zermatt thing. I had come from Chamonix and Interlaken and the rooms were cheaper and much larger.

We had a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn, where we sat and drank coffee every morning. After hiking all over in the mountains, we returned every afternoon to enjoy the pool, sauna and hot tub. This was amazing. The staff were very friendly and gave great recommendations for eating out. And the location was perfect, really close to the Sunnegga/Rothorn gondolas, and not far from the Gornergrat train or center of town. We could not have asked for a better stay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
