Great location with easy walking distance to train station, shops and restaurants. Quaint and authentic Swiss accommodation, small rooms but comfortable and warm.

Only accept Swiss francs in cash rather than Euros or credit card.

Really easily located for the station. Good view of the Matterhorn from our room. Local supermarkets are also very close by. It suited us well for two nights, and we would happily stay there agian - it is not a swishy hotel in Zermat but then you are not paying those prices.....

This is a hotel that is rather old fashioned - some fittings etc could probably do with replacing. We knew this when booking. It is clean, well located, and reasonably priced. It would be good (just for re-assurance) to be able to pay in advance but there were no problems with our reservation.

Our room had a nice balcony with a great view of the Matterhorn. Although the building is quite old, our room was very clean and well furnished. We even had a shower in the room, though the toilet was down the hallway. Checking in was absolutely hassle free, and the manager was very nice. The hotel is literally two minutes away from the main train station and trains going up the mountain, but it is still very quiet and perfectly secluded with its own back courtyard.

The ground floor entrance and lobby of the building had a rather funky smell, perhaps due to the recent heavy rains and the age of the building. but the upstairs rooms were fine.

Location is superb, just less than 5min walk from the train station and the Zermatt GGB. We have direct view of the Matterhorn from our room. Coop supermarket is just close by too.

The hotel has no lift, so we have to carry our luggages up to third floor. The toilet seat is very cramped & located next to bathtub, so when shower, there’s no shower curtain and water will wet the whole area if not careful.

This is a quaint and lovely hotel. It is so refreshing to be able to sit quietly in a garden in peace and have a wonderful Matterhorn view. This is a real gem and reflects the true nature of Zermatt. This is the heart of Zermatt and needs to be preserved and celebrated

I wish I could have stayed longer. No breakfast provided but enough local opportunities to either collect or be in a local cafe

Great location, just 5 mins walk from the train and bus stop. Excellent view and cozy room. Very vintage type. The hostess was very warm and welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. The room i had on the 3rd floor was basically a 2 bedroom in 1. The balcony opened up to the greatest view of the Matterhorn and mountains around. Wonderful.

There is no elevator so you need to carry your luggage up the stairs as there is no help either. Also they don't accept credit cards and there is no restaurant or breakfast.

Matterhorn view from the balcony was great! Affordable.

No lift and have to pay with cash. The owner was not there during check in and have to call so many times.

Accommodation here is very close to the station. I was able to run back to get my forgotten iPad in less than 10 minutes from the station. The important thing is that the view is great. You can see the matterhorn peak from the room at a very cheap price

The wooden bed is quite noisy when sleeping. There is noise from other floors because it is an old wooden house.

The location is 5 minute walk from the zermatt main train station However I think you should ask the direction from the staffs at tourist information because the entrance of the hotel not close to the main road.However, it is not too difficult to find if you ask someone or use google map The old lady who is the staff may drop your room key and you can check in the hotel later but you can collect your luggage in your room She is on the hotel just only on the morning and in the afternoon She is not stay in the hotel She is very nice and kindful We stay in the room with 3 beds that have a balcony to see the Matterhorn view It is on the third floor Although no luggage locker , however you can leave the luggage before after check out The old lady permit to keep the luggage in the hotel living room after chech out

There is no elevator here so this hotel may not suitable for the travellers with old age and have large luggage The check out time is just 7 or 8.00-10.00am

Hotel is very close to the train station and the surroundings is beautiful. The Matterhorn can be seen clearly depending on the room you book. The room was nice, clean and warm.

The wifi was very slow, not reaching inside the rooms. You can only get wifi once in the corridor. Also if you have heavy luggage, try and book rooms on first floor. We had to carry two heavy trolley bags to the fourth floor ourselves as there were no elevators.
