Loved it all! The naked spa was amazing after a long day on the slopes, as well as the 4pm cake and tea. Even loved the room with its little nespresso machine and mini toblerone each evening. Breakfast was super, the lounge was comfortable, and the ski lockers very modern and easy. I will be returning for sure!

Sadly I asked for a room with Matterhorn view, and despite the hotel not being very busy, I was put in a lower room with a very disappointing view of the back of a small warehouse type thing. That was the only negative. Otherwise there are plenty of good views of Matterhorn outside :)

We loved this hotel so much, we extended our stay by an additional night. Its only a short walk from the main village and all the attractions of Zermatt. The hotel offer a free shuttle from/to the train station which is extremely handy if you have large suitcases! The facilites were excellent. The breakfast is amazing, so nice to have healthy options available. We ended up dining in both nights, taking advantage of the hotels discounted 5 course meal. All dishes were incredibly tasty, very flavoursome! I highly recommend staying here if visiting Zermatt, and hope that we can one day return!

My second stay and becoming my favourite place to go! I LOVE this town and hotel. Breakfast and 5 course dinner is superb. Love the variety in the 2 Julen restaurants, love the lounge and rooms are perfect. I am a huge fan of the adult only spa area, though annoyingly now and again people try to ignore the sign… it’s adult because it’s naked! So best it’s kept strictly so :) it’s super relaxing after a day skiing and the hotel feels like a great sport/ wellness place. In sum: I love Alpenhof and I’ll be back later this year for sure! Thank you to their friendly staff for being such lovely hosts :)

Its a beautiful hotel. Great facilities and staff are very attentive. Great to get the free tea/coffee/cakes (which were fab) at 4pm in the bar also free mini bar in room. The spa is amazing. Including the nudest part which was our first time doing it. Sure you only live once!!! There is a family outdoor area with jacuzzi for those who want to be cloth. Breakfast was in abundance.

The hairdryer keeps overheating. Went to the reception, and they said just to wait on it to cool down. It is obviously a thing with the hairdryers as she said it so easy. It kept overheating, and it took me 30 mins to blow dry my bobbed hair, normally takes 5. I was worried it would explode in my hand. Seemed to be a safety issue that they weren't too bothered about.

The property is really really good ! Loved every part of the property including the location , amenities , food . Totally suggest the property only if the property has better staff. If the staff are arrogant and rude no point of staying in such a good hotel also.

The staff particularly this one Mr Evans was extremely RUDE to me ! He was absolutely ARROGANT to say the least ! I woudnt want to even come back to this property if they continue to have such ARROGANT staff ! After all I’ve come on a holiday to have a nice, peaceful time ! Not to face all this ARROGANT hospitality .

From the moment we stepped in the door we were greeted with warm hospitality. We were early and room wasn’t ready so they kindly took our bags, showed us to the spa area and gave us towels and gowns. The room was amazing. Huge balcony and very comfortable bed. Breakfast had a vast array of selections. Hot and cold Dinner 5 course (half board -selection from a set menu) was exceptional. Spa, pool and relaxation areas were a welcome at the end of a long day. We stayed 3 days and I could have stayed longer. Love love love.

The breakfast, spa and service was all excellent. The room was a fine size for my two children and me; had a nice bathroom and an appropriate amount of linens. Also, the ski locker in the hotel was outstanding. Very nice to be able to hang your boots, gloves, etc. in an air circulating environment so everything is dry the next day. Overall a great experience and we'll definitely be staying here again when we return to Zermatt.

Honestly, I enjoyed everything about the hotel. The only quasi negative was probably the dinner we had at the hotel. It was fine but far from great.

Everything!!! The room is spacious and well decorated. The bed is comfortable and neck support pillows are available on request. The room is clean and the air conditioner is quiet. The drinks in the minibar are inclusive for the first day. The breakfast is outstanding in terms of quality and variety. The free daily afternoon tea is definitely a plus. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have showed us great hospitality. More importantly, it is not pricey for such standard of service when compared to most of the hotels in Switzerland. All in all, it is the best hotel we have stayed in our 15-day trip in Switzerland.

Just the ventilation systems in the toilet and bathroom are too noisy. However, they are off, it is totally not a question.

Fabulous pool & wellness area. Also enjoyed the lobby are with the pianist in the evening, though only used it once.

The breakfast had a decent choice but the eggs were awful. Even when you ordered from the ‘fresh’ menu, the eggs were overcooked - the scrambled eggs anyway. It would also take forever for them to come. I also found the main guy at breakfast quite brusque and not particularly friendly. We were ‘upgraded’ to an alpine chic room, which when you pulled out the sofa bed for our son, meant that there was hardly any room to get by the bed - like literally squeezing by - to get into the bathroom, due to the large tub in the middle of the room; so we didn’t love that and would not want that room again, as a family of 3.

It was a wonderful hotel with excellent staff who gave great recommendations. The plus was picking up and dropping off at the train station. It is very expensive to stay there but it was an outstanding.

Air conditioning wasn’t working that well which we know in Europe it’s a challenge, we tried opening the door sulfuring the night but bugs came in so we had to shut the door closed. Also my son was in the other room sleeping on the sofa bed so even with the door open the mountain air would not get there. The temperature was in the high 70s in July with no wind. Otherwise everything was outstanding
