The overall interior of the hotel is prestine, cozy and has a warm, welcoming ambiance. The bed mattresses are so comfortable and is perfect respite after a long day in the alps. Breakfast was ok, nothing extra what matters most is it will fuel us for the day. Although we did not ski, there are ski facilities in the hotel (e.g. ski room), which I thought is really great! The location is just a stone’s throw away to Gornergrat Railway Station, red and green (free) buses- all these will transport you to the magnificent views of Matterhorn and Glacier Paradise.

This is very near the train station so I did not have to drag my luggage very far. However due to some roadworks the path to the hotel was not so clear. Still it was not that difficult to get to. The staff was warm and welcoming. The gentleman helped me to my room even though there was an elevator. The room was clean and adequate size. The bed was comfortable. Lighting was adequate. There was a kettle and tea and even a fridge. The tv had English channels. The bathroom had a tub and heater. The heater worked the first night but subsequently did not work. Breakfast had variety and was good.

The gentlemen on the first day was welcoming and helpful but did not speak very much English. Another lady staff on the second day came to my room when I complained about the heater not working. She put her hand to the heater and declared it was warm. Did she think I cannot feel that it was stone cold or is her hand not feeling the cold? Or maybe she just want to dismiss the issue for whatever reason. The room also had a heater but I did not use it.

Staying with Sarah Senna was the right choice for Zermatt. The hotel is very close to the railway station, so it is very convenient to go up the mountain and out for food. Although it took a while to find the hotel entrance due to a navigational error during check-in. Small hotel is very delicate and clean, walkways, small lobby bar, public toilets are revealing the owner's intentions and bourgeois feelings. Although Matt can not be seen from the balcony, the room is large enough to provide comfortable bedding and a relaxing bath after the Matt hike. Breakfast is arranged according to room number, although the breakfast category is not particularly many, but fruit, yogurt, etc. have, and delicious bobo eggs. Although pre-booking, the price is not too high, is the entire trip in Switzerland, a favorite small hotel.

It would be nice to have a room with a view of Matt

Our room overlooked the Matterhorn, was very clean, comfortable and quiet even though it overlooked the GornerGrat cog trains. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the main Zermatt train station, near many restaurants of differing qualities, menus, and prices. Our choices of restaurants was vegetarian and we found several close by to Hotel Sarazena. The hotel is also near lots of shopping (including the COOP market) as well as many areas to safely walk around Zermatt and to enjoy the beautiful Matterhorn views. The staff were very accommodating for our questions on lifts and where to rent ski equipment. The breakfasts at Hotel Sarazena were outstanding! On our departure day, we left on a very early train, and they even packed for us a generous lunch, since we were not there to partake of their lovely breakfasts.

I would 100% stay here again. Travelling from Canada so making our money stretch was important. Great value, super clean and spacious rooms! It's right beside the Gornergrat tram and the bus stop (free) to the other lifts is just outside and a quick 5 min ride. They're close to Bayard where we rented and got 10% off with them. Having a hotel right by the train station was super convenient and Zermatt is such a small town so very easy to explore. Sauna (by reservation, just ask front desk) at the end of a ski day was a nice bonus. Good variety for breakfast.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, nicely sized rooms that were cleaned daily. Execllent location very close to the mainline train station, and the Gornergrat lift station and bus stop.

Breakfast was fairly basic - ham, cheese, cereal, pastries/bread, and boiled eggs. No cooked/hot breakfast options with eggs cooked to one's preference, bacon, baked beans, etc. Many channels listed on the TV were not showing/working. Sauna capacity was max 2 people (although it can easily accomodate 5-6 people), and that it needed to be reserved in advance for a set time rather than be used at a guest's convenience. This was not explained (only found out when I went to use the sauna); and having a fixed/reserved time is not helpful, especially as timing on the mountain and getting back to the hotel can vary. This is the first time I've heard of a sauna having to be pre-booked and with such a small capacity.

The hotel location is very convenient to the train station and to several nice restaurants. It is also right next to the Bahnhofstrasse, the main shopping street in Zermatt. Gornergratbahn, the best access to views of the Matterhorn, is right next door to the hotel. Our balcony provided an excellent view of the top portion of the Matterhorn, which allowed us to get some beautiful photos at sunset. The front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast had a very nice selection of baked items, fruit and juices.

Bed could have been firmer, but we prefer very firm beds. Same for pillows.

The breakfast was very good. The staff at check-in were helpful. They even printed out our seat assignments for the Glacier Express! The location is about 1 minute from the train station. As close as it gets!

Only one thing. We unintentionally broke a rule we didn't know about. At breakfast, we put a couple of pieces of bread and cheese into my wife's bag to eat on the train. When we checked out, we were confronted by the receptionist and asked if we had done that. It was a lot of drama over some bread and cheese. We did it, yes, but we didn't think that it would be a big deal. The bottom line is don't do that. I asked what she wanted us to do about it because we had a train to catch. She let us go with a strong warning to never do that again. It kind of took the joy from my day. It also had me wondering just how it is that they were watching us...

It is tucked away down a small lane and has great views of the Matterhorn from its generous-sized balconies. It is small and family owned so the service is personal, not corporate, and the hotel feels loved and cared for.

I liked the hotel very much! Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, furniture made of wood. The room smells of wood. Excellent view from the window to the Matterhorn. The room is spacious. Very friendly administrator, smiling and attentive woman. The room is quiet and warm. Very clean. There is a kettle in the room - it's very convenient! Delicious breakfast. Very good location of the hotel - near the ski lift and the train station. If there was a free room the next day, I would also stay. I recommend this hotel for accommodation. Thank you.
