It was comfortable but a bit dated.

We paid for a family suite to have extra room floor space and a third twin to place our bags. When we checked in and went to room not a family suite. I went back to front desk asked about the family suite. They said they moved our room because there were only 2 of us not 3. We had paid more to have a family suite . Front desk lady not nice or accommodating. We felt a bit cheated with the smaller room space after paying for the family suite.

We got room with mountain view. The hotel had great breakfast variety. Only hotel where we saw complementary high tea from 4-5:30 pm. Our stay was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy so we could not see mountains, but view from our room was great. They also provide complementary taxi to/from train station.

Nothing to complain. Overall zermatt I think is costlier. This was the costliest hotel for our 14 days swiss trip across 5 regions (Zurich, interlaken, Lucerne, Montreux). However with good views and great service, nothing to regret.

The hotel is very close to the Zermatt train station, an easy walk. Nice interior, and the room feels luxurious. After arrival, we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant, and it was my birthday, my wife was able to arrange a little surprise for me with very short notice to the restaurant staff. Special thanks to the restaurant staff :). Dinner and the restaurant atmosphere were perfect. The breakfast was really good and enjoyed during the stay. There was a complimentary afternoon tea for the hotel guests; unfortunately, we were busy exploring Zermatt.

The location was perfect! The view from our balcony of fifth floor was to die for! They have free shuttle to and fro from hotel to train station which is easily walkable but is useful if you have heavy luggage. All the local shops were two minutes walking distance. They have excellent evening tea which is free with freshly made cake, which was excellent! The rooms were large and very comfortable. The breakfast had excellent choices.

The storm has happened a couple of days ago, due to which lift was not working and we had to walk five floors up and down with a little one a few times. Otherwise the facilities and the staff were all excellent.

Hotel Butterfly was a great place to stay for our first visit to Zermatt. Our room on the 5th Floor could see the tip of the Matterhorn so when we knew it was clear we headed to the lookout. The location was an easy walk from the train station so we were able to walk there but they have a shuttle service if you need. The room was clean and had all we needed. The breakfast offered a great variety of offerings so each day we were able to try different things. The staff was very helpful. Zermatt is an easy place to walk around so the location was perfect.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station and is located right among all the restaurants and main town center. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size with a great shower. The breakfast was fantastic, we looked forward to it every morning! All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. If you can eat at Grampy's !!

The sofa bed that our son slept on was semi comfortable. Because we stayed during their "off-season" the restaurant didn't serve lunch or dinner.

EVERYTHING! And that’s just not enough, the location of the facility is amazing. Very close to both stations. The cleanliness of the hotel was top tier, but if I had to choose what I found to be the best was the staff. Starting with the manager Simone who goes above and beyond for her guest. Helia who works at the bar/restaurant is amazing, one of the sweetest people I met, with an incredible attention to detail. All the staff from kitchen, to service to front desk is what will make us return. I loved it here and will be considering a home away from home for years to come!! Couldn’t thank you all enough!

Wow, what a fantastic hotel. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest and most accommodating receptionist. We had the most fabulous room which was spacious, very clean with quality bedding and linen. Having an ice maker available within the hotel was a real bonus. Just loved the complimentary afternoon tea and the buffet breakfast was excellent. We had the most friendliest waitress as well. Just loved this hotel and we can highly recommend it.

The only shortfall is that there is no fridge in the room.

Great location, short distance to train station, shops and restaurant. Excellent facilities including sauna, steam room and the free shuttle service really helps for a family with children and heavy luggages. Delicious buffet breakfast and plenty of options, afternoon snack is also good. Superb customer service, kitchen staff were nice and polite. Special thanks to Doreen on the reception for a warm welcome and  providing lots of information on local attractions and how to get around, excellent customer service. She made us feel a very valuable customer. Very  relaxing accomodation, the room is clean we would like to come back.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Right in the middle of the town but set a street back so it is sheltered from the noise of the main street. Also very convenient for the main train station and the Gornergrat train. The staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was pleasant to stay in. It has a lovely reception, seating, bar and dining areas. We stayed in the main hotel on the 4th floor (409). Our room had a big corner balcony with lovely views down the valley and of the mountains (not the Matterhorn itself but you can't have everything!). Breakfast was buffet style served from 7.00am, and it was all very nice. They also do complimentary afternoon coffee/tea and cakes.

There is nothing wrong with the traditional Swiss style but our room and the corridor to it was a little dated and tired in places. We did glimpse some of the other rooms and they looked modern and updated. However there was nothing wrong with our room itself, it was clean and a decent size.
