My twin brother and I recently stayed at The Hotel Continental in Zermatt for a ski trip. It was an excellent experience. If you're looking for modern, clean and centrally located accommodation at a reasonable price, this is a great choice. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Zermatt, making it easy to access ski lifts, restaurants, and shops. The charming alpine atmosphere of the town, combined with the stunning views of the Matterhorn, adds to the overall magic of the stay. Our room was modern, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean. The design is simple yet stylish, providing all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. After long days on the slopes, we really appreciated the cozy beds and warm ambiance. The fantastic staff was a true highlight. They were very welcoming and accommodative plus provided great recommendations. The standout employee of our stay was Pavlina. She was the most helpful and welcoming hotel employee, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making our experience at Hotel Continental truly exceptional. The complimentary breakfast was also a highlight! The selection included freshly baked bread, delicious pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, and cereals—a perfect mix of fresh and high-quality ingredients to fuel a full day of skiing. Plus, reliable wifi for working remotely.

Amazing location, steps from the Zermatt train station and Gornergratt. Comfortable beds, view of the Matterhorn from the balcony and a nice big bathroom.

The room felt a bit stuffy at night, so I kept the balcony door open to let in the mountain breeze - thankfully it was very quiet! There were also some issues with check-in, but thankfully those were resolved. Overall a very positive experience.

Adjoining door into next room. You could hear occupant on phone or talking to a guest in their room. Would appreciate a choice of pillow and thinner duvet option as the room was hot even with heating turned off.

Breakfast was excellent. Many choices. The staff was great. We really liked our room and the balcony. The reception desk gentleman was very nice. He gave us maps and pamphlets of the area. The hotel was in a perfect location right off the main street close to all the shops and restaurants. We had a great time!

Nothing to complain about. We loved everything about the hotel and this beautiful town.

We booked the hotel for one night but only stayed for a couple of hours, as we mainly needed a place to rest and freshen up while exploring Zermatt. The location was very convenient and the room was clean and comfortable for our short stay. Staff were polite and check-in at the nearby Simi Hotel was smooth.

Great location central in town and few minutes walk from train station. Breakfast wasn't much to brag about but European.. not much to choose from. Carpet was stained in the room but I can totally understand this because there is no way they can keep guest from tracking in with all the snow and ice.. but the room was clean and comfy.

The lady at Reception was very helpful and informative. The room was very clean and spacious, especially the bathroom. The location was central, just a very short walk from the railway station. The breakfast room was well appointed and there was a good choice.

The floorboards in our room creaked quite loudly, as did the room above. Also the walls were very thin and the conversation of the guests in the next room could be heard.

Great location. 3-min easy walk with luggage from the train station. The room has a balcony with garden view. Good value given the price is relatively affordable compared to other hotels in Zermatt (I booked it with a quite affordable price). The room is clean.

Noise from rooms above and around - other guests were up at 4.30am and the older wooden floors unavoidably creek with every step…

The room was small but quite adequate. Everything needed was there. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and in the middle of the main part of Zermatt. Breakfast was a bit light on, but the quality was fine, just not a lot of choice. The reception staff were excellent, extremely helpful.

The steps from the front door up to reception were difficult for me with a big suitcase. A ramp would help.
