We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Holiday. The room was spacious, modern , bathroom new. I loved the balcony facing the mountain and valley. we had a fridge, plenty of room. Breakfast was good, included, cheese, hams, breads, coffee, juices and hardboiled eggs. We ordered omelete and eggs for 8chf additional. The hotel staff were superb,great costumer service. I highly recommend this hotel. It is about 10 minutes walk from train station, a little challenging lugging luggage. There are small cars to transport. When we left we used the hotel transport to the train station cost 5chf a person.

Everything was great, except that you have to pay extra 8chf for cooked breakfast such as eggs, bacon, sausage. It is a little bit of an uphill coming from the train station.

This hotel was immaculately clean and we felt very welcome by all staff we encountered. We arrived in the morning and they kindly accommodated storing our bags until check-in. Very affordable and our balcony made it feel super luxurious for our evening drink - complete with amazing views. We had to leave before breakfast began and they arranged for a picnic breakfast to take with us when we left and we were not expecting that much food - it was very generous. The room itself was spacious and the beds, including the signed, was very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Only because we chose to walk with our backpacks and a sick 8 year old it felt like an age to get there. But really, it’s t wasn’t that bad. The only other complaint is the shower doesn’t have a screen all the way across so the water got everywhere in the bathroom…but we were provided with many towels so it wasn’t that big of a deal and we just dried it up.

The hotel matched the description on Booking perfectly. The room (303) was spacious with a partial view of The Matterhorn from our balcony, ample storage, large mirrors, and a safe. They even offered luggage storage after checkout. The breakfast was delightful in the charming restaurant. Overall, the hotel exuded a mountain resort ambiance, fitting for a place like Zermatt. Although the room key was quite large, it could conveniently be left at the reception when going out.

The sole inconvenience was the shower in the bathtub, which had a small cover to prevent water from spraying onto the bathroom floor. However, the presence of a window is a very good feature, allowing for quick access to fresh air after using the facility.

We stayed in the ground floor quadruple room. It was warm, clean and tastefully decorated. We booked a transfer with the hotel from the station for $5 per person, and we were told it must be booked one day prior to your arrival. Very handy if you have heavy luggage. It is an easy downhill walk from the hotel back to the station or around town. There is a lovely little bar on site where you can have a drink in the evening. Friendly staff!

No kettle or tea or coffee in the room and only two glasses for four people.

Very clean, modern, charming, and Swiss! Rooms are spacious enough with balconies, and in our case facing the Matterhorn. Bathroom a bit of a squeeze but we were on the top floor. Breakfast is epic - huge amounts of varied food. Bar is cosy and open until 10pm, and not expensive. Location is about 8-10 minutes walk into the main strip.

Breakfast team tended to begin clearing up around us 30 minutes before officially closing. Meant we felt a bit rushed.

Comfortable bed., nice and friendly staff, late check-in. The living area was great. It's spacious, comfortable and cozy. You can leave your luggage for free.

No view of the mountains. If you go to the balcony and lean a bit to the right, you get to see the beautiful mountains. It's a bit of a walk from the station. You can hire a taxi though for 5 Franks-a-person which might be a good option if you have luggage. The breakfast was below par. I expected some bacon/egg dishes at least at the price of the room.

Nothing . The only thing we missed was a kettle in the room but the reception staff said one would be made available

I thought the location was great and within walking distance of the train station, gondolas, shopping, and restaurants (we didn’t realize how steep of a hill it is to hike up to get to the hotel with our large luggage, really got the calves burning lol) The breakfast had good variety and staff were amazing. The view from our room was stunning waking up to see the Matterhorn. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the future!

Our rooms were very clean and fresh and the decor was very pleasant. THe breakfast/restaurant was very nice and the service attentive and all the staff were very charming

The staff were not available after 10pm but this was not a problem. There is nothing else we did not like and we would be very happy to return to the Hotel Holiday again

Hotel room was in attic over looking Mattehorn mountain. Great views. Lovely welcome from Mattaus who helped with luggage. Bed comfortable. Bathroom facilities small due to being in attic. Had meal also in hotel on evening and food was excellent. Great location and fabulous hotel .Extremely clean.

Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in room, as I am a bad sleeper so like a cup of tea during night/early morning. Also an extra pillow would have been nice.
