The property was very clean and tidy all the time. The bed was comfortable, also you get two duvet/comforters in 1 bed for a couples room (not a fan) The spa/sauna was amazing no need to book just be there between 1700H and 2100H.

Breakfast could be improved (not a lot of choices) One female (long black wavy hair) staff had a very unwelcoming aura and not very polite but the male manager was very nice and welcoming. I have observed another female staff member (very short hair) mocked one of the asian guest during check out and copied their face on their back. You guys need to review your ladies staff member since I do not have any uncomfortable comments about the place but the staff made our stay very unpleasant and we did not want to enter/exit at the reception during our stay we went through the back stairs instead for us not to have any encounter with the female staff.

The hotel was a great "home base" to explore Zermatt. The staff were very nice. Due to our scheduling and timing of availability we could only have breakfast about half the days of our stay, but it was excellent. I wish the spa hours were a bit longer so we could use them more. It was sorely needed after long hikes.

Our room was on ground level and looked into the hotel next door, which meant we kept our blinds closed the whole stay. A small thing, but all the plugs (except one) had light switches built into the same outlet, making it impossible to plug in an adapter. We had to charge devices (camera/phones) off an outlet at floor level in the entry way. Please provide either a single outlet, or USB charging by the bedside table(s).

Everything was almost perfect

I only took 1 point off for a few small issues. 1) the light in the bathroom was just too dim it was very hard to see/shower without turning on some of the other room lights for support 2) the pillows were really uncomfortable, flat, unsupportive, a second pillow as an option would’ve been great. 3) I’m not familiar with the unisex spa culture and would’ve liked some sort of visual/verbal guide. Were use to Asia having similar guides either in the room, at check in or even at the spa. This would’ve been super helpful. I didn’t take points off on this because it is a cultural aspect but it’s a nice to have

The room was lovely. There was plenty of room for both of us and the view of the Matterhorn from the balcony was amazing. The location was perfect. Just on the outskirts of the town but only a 5 minute walk to the shops/supermarkets and close to the Matterhorn viewpoint which we went to each evening to see the view. When we had questions prior to the trip we got prompt email responses from staff which was great.

There isn't a 24 hour staff presence which was fine however when we realised late evening on our first day that our travel chargers didn't fit, there wasn't anyone around to ask where we could find a replacement which would have been helpful.

loved the staff, huge 5 stars to the staff member who booked me in on the 12th. very helpful when arriving early to drop off my bags. the shower is one that will make you want to take up residence there. the free visit to the sauna was very unexpected but completely welcome. Dormitory was scrupulously clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

strange thing to say here but the cubicle was way warm , not a grievance at all just found it difficult to sleep. Like all hostels, noise of loud snoring was irritating so bring ear plugs in case your neigh our was like mine.

The location of the hotel is very good: 8 minutes walk from the train station. The view from the terrace was amazing as you could see the village and the Matterhorn (when weather allows). The penthouse was very accommodating, with plenty of space and with a lovely kitchenette. Although we ended up eating dinner at the restaurant of the hotel as the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. If my dog could rate the hotel she would also give the max of stars as she was always greeted with joy and lots of pets.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and linens. Bathrooms were also very clean and the showers had good water pressure. Hangars in the room were helpful for hang drying laundry. The breakfast is incredible, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the mini croissants, crepes, and coffee were.

The lock boxes aren’t sprung at all, it made it moderately annoying to put things in and out of them since they were buried next to the bed. Just a minor inconvenience, a gas spring or a latch of some kind could easily solve this.

They allowed to me check in early, as my travel companion travelled on, and they assigned me a lower bed in the 6-person sleeping room. Small but nice rooms. Just have everything you need, despite limited space. Breakfast included was really good with local products. Good toiletries. We got a room with partial view to the Matterhorn which was nice. They have an interesting spa that unfortunately we could not use as we did not have clothes for it. Location is good. about 10 minutes to train station and main road. a bit on the hill but not to much to make you exhausted. I love Swiss water anyways, but their tap "filtered" water was so nice and cold, and it stayed nice and cold in my bottle the entire day! They also have sparkling water to serve yourself for free which is really really nice.

Liked the Matterhorn view from my room. Breakfast was good with nice variety. Room service was great. Overall the facilities were very clean and refreshed. We did t have any issues.

While the other hotels have a shuttle service from the train station, Carina didn’t offer one for the guests which made us uneasy. The management can think about it and improve this for their customers as the facility is little far and it was hard to walk with luggages.
