What an incredible place. The location is perfect, with the most spectacular view of the Matterhorn, it genuinely took my breath away. The hotel has such a calming and peaceful vibe, and from the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. What truly sets Bella Vista apart though? The staff. They’re the magic sauce, attentive, kind, and genuinely lovely people. They weren’t just helpful, they were a joy to chat with, making the whole experience feel so personal and warm. The accommodation was beyond comfortable, with so many thoughtful little touches that made me feel truly cared for. It’s clear that a lot of love goes into everything they do here. And the breakfast? Outstanding. All homemade produce, prepared with love and attention, it felt more like a gift than a meal. I absolutely loved it here 🥰 and would return in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommend.

The hotel has unique atmosphere of a mountain house. This is what I dreamed about. With the direct view to Matterhorn, I feel it was the perfect location for us. The bed was comfortable, breakfast is amazing with variety of cheeses and fresh orange juice. We didn't know but hotel has an amazing SPA with a tearoom facing the Matterhorn view. Try the massage but book it in advance. The staff was exceptional and very helpful, especially Janet (Janis). The hotel felt like brand new because they do renovations regularly. I would stay there a lot.

Exceptional place to stay. The location 10 min walk from station, up a small incline. They upgraded my room without asking. The room a double had a side balcony with excellent view of the Matterhorn. The outside is traditional, the inside of the room warm, modern facilities, beautiful bathroom, walk-in rainfall shower. Bed was cosy, no noise at night. The staff went out of their way to make my stay perfect. Breakfast exceptional selection they make the bread, cakes, pastries, biscuits in house multiple choices of each every day. Cheese night for dinner a must do.

Very small communal area and asked to leave by 9pm. Not the best tea/coffee facilities in rooms. Choice in menu limited. I feel the cost of hotel is quite expensive.

Aaaamazing! Perfect view of the Matterhorn on the patio. Homemade breakfast buffet was amazing! Rooms were comfortable. And the sauna room! Omg. Such elevated living! Nice sauna rooms and lounging chairs with views of Mr. toblerone. Super friendly and helpful staff. I really enjoyed it here. I lucked out and got a decent value for the night $150 :) because it’s usually much more pricey and I can see why.

Everything was great

The property had beautiful old traditional characteristics on the out side and down stairs in the foyer and restaurant. Our room was nice and modern. Our room had a beautiful view over looking Zermatt and you could see the Matthorn as well. Bella Vista was very clean, the staff were extremely nice and accommodating for all our needs. Their knowledge of the area was wonderful. Tamara suggested a really nice path for a day hike, the views and scenery were exquisite. We had their cheese fondu the second night we were there. Highly recommend. I couldn’t speak more highly of Bella Vista and it’s friendly staff! It’s top tier, 5 stars. 10/10. Bloody amazing!

I enjoyed a lot my stay in this beautiful hotel. The view, hospitality of personnel and great breakfast in the morning, it was exactly what I need that weekend. The hotel is located just few steps from city center a bit on a hill, which guarantees best view on Matterhorn. I highly recommend this place and want to be back again soon!

The View

The hotel were well situated in an amazing location. I just want to give advise to the guest that It is difficult to walk to reach the hotel because it is located uphill. Better take a taxi from the train station when going to the hotel but better walk from the hotel to go somewhere to enjoy the view.

The staff was amazing. Ita a family runned hotel , very helpful and nice people. What a great view.

There is nothing to not like except my room on 1st day it was at the top the room height made me colostophorbic , but then I paid extra and got my self a beautiful extra large space

The staff is very kind, the breakfast is fantastic with all the self-made breads and pastries, and the view of Matterhorn is wonderful! Rooms are spacious and comfy. I left a dress in the room, and they promptly emailed me asking if they could send me per post. That was very kind.

It's not that I didn't like it, but be aware that the hotel is a bit uphill, so the access to the hotel can be tiring for the elderly or people with difficulties. However, they have a shuttle service with electromobiles for those who need help.
