The hotel is in a great spot, walking distance to one of the busiest districts and very close to multiple large train stations. We had no trouble getting around from this hotel. The hotel is what you pay for. It’s affordable and there is a reason for that. It’s clean, but everything is dated and some of it is falling apart. But for the cost, it was comfortble and bigger than most hotel rooms in Asia. I would stay here again. Reading the comments before I stayed, I was scared off a bit. It’s not dirty or mouldy, the staff are fine and the rooms are tidied daily. It’s a very basic hotel and if you’re like us, you won’t be in there unless you’re sleeping anyway. It reflects the cost paid.

There were a few things broken, the light to stop people coming in to clean didn’t work, our toilet lid was broken etc. it could do with some TLC. Seal around the bath and shower, paint the ceiling and it would be much better.

They have definitely refurbished the hotel rooms. As the renovation is relatively new, they are clean. Meets all the essentials of what you would need. For example, kettle, hair dryer, hanger, slippers, toiletries, bathtub, coffee, tea, mineral water, towels, floormat. Location is good too. In between ximending and Taipei main station. There is a nice eatery that sells pork trotter rice and fish belly with rice that you should try. It is a short walk from the hotel towards the Taipei Main station.

The air conditioner is not so intuitive. A bit old school in the sense that they are still using keys for the hotel room door. The hotel is under the Relite group. So do keep a lookout for the signboard 儷萊 to get to the right building and the entrance is on the side of the building facing the carpark instead facing the main road.

The hotel is Centally located, close to Taipei main Station, and is easy to find when using google maps. The room looked like the picutres, was quiet which is not a given at all hotels in Taiwan, and is a big plus for me personally. The room included a kettle, coffee, tea, water, hairdryer etc, the TV even had channels in English. The staff was fast and efficient and even let me check in a bit earlier.

Nothing really, if I had to point out anything that is nice to know for future guests is that it is not a brand new luxury hotel in any way but it is nice and comfy and has all the amenities you could need.

Location – I love that it’s very close to the train station. It made it so easy for us to walk just a few minutes to catch an early train to the airport. Staff – The staff were incredibly helpful. They addressed all our queries, offered great suggestions, and spoke excellent English. Value for Money – It was very straightforward. I didn’t expect anything extravagant because the rate was quite reasonable, but it definitely delivered in terms of what we paid for. I also appreciated that the property was clean and well-maintained.

Food and Drinks – There’s limited access to quick food and drinks at the hotel. You’ll need to walk to the night market area to grab something to eat. Bed – The bed was comfortable, but it’s very sensitive to movement and tends to shift away from the headboard.

Location is great/ nearest mrt Bimen -diagonally across the hotel / a lot of eateries/ near to Ximenting night market which is really great for shopping and local snacks n restaurants/ staff are wonderfully courteous/ room is really spacious for family room - can open luggage with free mineral water daily and lobby with a water dispenser

No daily make up room although towels are changed / no amenities- bring your own toothbrush, shower cap, slippers and razor / hotel is old with two lifts only. But all good otherwise

very good price value, it was clean and staff was nice and helpful. also the location is good for travelers, it’s close to main station and to city center. room was just as described. We can totally recommend staying there!

just a very small thing that confused me: the name written on the Hotel is not Sunny Hotel, but the google maps location was exact and I just walked in and asked. 👍

Location is great. 5 mins from Ximending and 5 mins from the main station.

A small dislike. I paid with cash at arrival but they would not give me a receipt until I checked out. This happened twice, since I stayed there twice. If I had used a credit card, I would have had a receipt. If someone pays with cash at check-in, they should be able to give some sort of receipt of that, regardless what the bill, in the end, is.

the location is really good. located between ximen and tapei main station make it easier for us to travel around taipei even keelung and jiufen. also in walking distance of ximending, post office, plentiful of food shop and much more.

well, you get what you pay but i think the pro overweight the cons. maybe their room service is kinda late because they have so many room but it dont really matter as i always clean the room my self

Just the housekeeping. They did not clean the room well. And when we have requested to change the towels, they did replace it but didn’t manage to get the used ones. Also, there’s a lot of dirt and trash under the bed.

Honestly, for value for money, this room is very spacious and clean. The shower is really strong and the location is prime as it is close to the Taipei Main Station and Ximending area. The hotel looks old from the outside, but fret not, everything inside is very well kept and clean. The hotel staff members are also very friendly and helpful.
