Cozy resort at end of Lamai. Lovely welcome and check in. Staff helpful and friendly throughout stay. Food good and drinks. Salt water pool and enough seats for everyone. Free pool table. Yes, they close the bar at 8pm and no food in evening, but it’s a couple min walk to some local restaurants. You also have some nice stalls and restaurants right next door at Grandfather/grandmother rocks. Couple of small local bars around too. And a 5 min walk to main road and small convenience store. Easy to grab a passing red truck/ songthaew into Lamai proper for 100baht. Rocky beach directly in front of resort but you can still swim there. Just a hop over the rocks to main beach and bars/restaurants

Nothing! Would stay again.

A lovely quiet location, tucked away at the end of Lamai beach, next to the Grandfather/Grandmother rocks. There are rocks directly in front of the hotel on the beach, which means it’s a great place to snorkel, there are loads of lovely fish to see right there. To the left of the rocks is the start of the long Lamai sandy beach so best of both worlds. You can walk along the beach up to central Lamai, and there are bars and restaurants along the way, and places for a massage or water sports too. Breakfast was great. Plates of fresh fruit and ham and cheese are brought to the table, then you can help yourself to cereals, pastries, bread etc, and have a choice of a cooked breakfast too. (Bacon, sausage, omelette etc, or Thai rice/noodles etc) Vegan milks can be provided on request (ask before you arrive so they can be there for your first day) The staff are fantastic, always smiling and anticipating your next need, and Olivier the owner was also around to help with anything. There is a lovely pool surrounded by a variety of sun beds and seats, and the terrace leads right up to the beach. The hotel is only small, and there were always sun beds available to use, and plenty of shady spots. The restaurant has a good selection of tasty food, but closes around 5pm. There is also a restaurant next door at Aura, and you can also use their pool etc if you eat there, very welcoming. We ate a lot at the Pink Orchid, just up the road from the hotel entrance, basic looking, but lovely food (including vegan options) and staff, or walked up the beach to one of restaurants or into Lamai centre itself. The walk to the centre is around 20minutes, but feels longer in the heat, and walking on sand! You can also walk up the main road to get there, which is easier, but not so pleasant, or hop in a taxi. (300 baht) My room was very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable , air con which worked perfectly, and a great bathroom.

Nothing. Ideal for anyone wanting to stay somewhere quiet away from the main busy areas, but with some restaurants and bars nearby. If you want somewhere busy and loud, it’s probably not for you.

The location was superb, staff were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was very comfortable and everywhere was spotless. The food at the hotel was really good it’s a shame that the restaurant closed at 5pm but we knew that at the time of booking so it was no surprise. There were plenty of places to eat locally so no big deal really. Would go back in a heartbeat!!

We were a little concerned on the drive to the hotel once we turned off the main road especially when the taxi stopped at a bit of waste ground behind a bar!! But from an alley way we had not seen, appeared 2 members of staff from Beluga who collected our cases and led us to an oasis of relaxation and calm - Beluga!!!

You know you’ve picked a great hotel when you are arriving and a couple leaving tell us we’ve picked well and won’t be disappointed. They weren’t wrong! Great quiet location tucked away at the end of Lamai beach. Fantastic views, right on the ocean. Staff were fantastic! They couldn’t do enough for you and were so friendly and welcoming throughout the whole stay. Room was cleaned everyday with complimentary bottles of water topped up each day. A couple of quirky bars nearby. Pirate bar (big rock at the side of hotel) had amazing views of the coast of Lamai beach. Great way to end the night!

Everything was exceptional!

Everything was superb! The staff was so kind and attentive, the private little beach was so good and you can walk to lamai beach in a matter of seconds. The view from the 2nd floor room was amazing. The breakfast was good and filling, they would make what you wanted on the spot and every day they would offer fresh fruits for breakfast. Their cocktails at their bar were well done! The room was clean and way prettier than in the pictures, they do not do the place justice! The bed and the pillows were the comfiest we've ever experienced! They would also offer clean towels and water bottles daily. Also, for the girls, they had a proper makeup ring light mirror for getting ready! They would also arrange pick ups from the airport and to the pier as we needed so easy and effortless service!

There was nothing to dislike.

Nice and quiet location, comfortable rooms.Swiimmigpool allows you to spend a good time,if the sea is rough all time,as in my case. Outstanding breakfast and nice cocktails at the bar. But the most interesting and enjoying time in this hotel,it's to be taking care from all Myanmar's staff by breakfast time, housekeeping and at the bar.A big hug to all of them, which they deserve on their own almost the room price, not really cheap.

To improve the payment policy. On the booking.com the hotel said: possible to pay cashless. But the reality it's different. The owner doesn't like when you pay by credit or debit card. He would like to charge you 3% fee, what according RBI laws it's not allowed.Who run the establishment take over the credit card fee, not the customer. He could be from his bank blacklisted, if they will know about this behavior.

We had a nice stay at Beluga.Hotel room was with a nice view and clean. Unfortunately the bathroom has no window and is therefore very dark. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a small buffet with fresh egg dishes and nicely arranged. Unfortunately we had to leave early at the last day and couldn’t use our already paied breakfast. A doggy bag was ordered but we did not get it😔 service would be to pay back the breakfast. Lamai beach was dirty and black oil on the beach. Sadly the hoteliers seem not to be interested in cleaning it. We asked for bags and collected liter same as other tourists did!!

Location was excellent - at the end of the Lamai Beach area with an almost private little beach. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. They remembered my breakfast, lunch and cocktail preferences and I appreciated their attentive service. It was great to use the (free) stand up paddle board and the pool was lovely also. Breakfast was excellent and I also enjoyed lunch there most days. Dinner is not offered at Beluga so I tried out Pink Orchid, just down the road, and there are other options close by also.

Nothing.

This is a little hidden gem,... Hid down some back street then opened up onto your private beach.... A tranquil place, just to lose the world, forget your woes and find yourself.... Loved it

My only gripe with the hotel would be breakfast... Even though it was 99% freshly cooked to order, the open table of help yourself fruit and pastries did attract your local flies .. and needs some sort of cover Location wise yes it's slightly out of the way but life's always full of compromises, so like me, and for a couple of quid we rented a scooter from up the road and then the island becomes you oyster to explore

Nicely located near the big rock formations and on Lamai beach. I really liked the friendly staff, that always tried to help me with anything I needed, from renting a scooter to organizing transportation and boat tickets. My room was spacious and had a nice bathroom with rain shower. Nearby you have a really cool Reggae bar called the Rock bar, worth to visit. The hotel is close to nice site seething spots and to Lamai or even Chaweng. But do rent a motor for this.
