Bill Resort is in a wonderful location, right on Lamai beach, where you can walk along the beach to town or other bars and restaurants. Yes, the resort is old, but our bungalow was fantastic, the pool was clean, the public areas tidy and the staff lovely. If you are looking for an affordable beach side holiday in a rustic old-school Thai bungalow, then this is a wonderful choice. If you are looking for 5 star luxury, stay somewhere else. The resort runs down the hillside, so if you have mobility issues, it could be a problem. Thank you, Bill Resort, I wish I could have stayed longer!

The beds were a little bit firm, which is normal for Thailand, just not my personal preference.

I loved the area of Bill Resort and the choice of beach side reasonably priced eating places to enjoy. The area is so chilled but if the want the noisy town area then it’s only 20 minutes walk along the beach . I also loved the fact that it had a beautiful pool. I love swimming in the sea mainly but when I was in KS the sea was always rough so having the pool worked out great for me. The different choices of rooms were good as I have stayed here twice and the first time I was in a bungalow in the gardens and this time I was in a villa close to the pool. I would definitely recommend Bill Resort.

It would have been easier to communicate with someone on reception that spoke better English and on arrival explained the facilities to you as I didn’t even know there were safety deposit boxes in a room off of the reception area until I was leaving. It was not easy trying to find out information for my stay. Than you Google translate!!

Simple accommodation with basic amenities, which was more than enough for our stay. A large resort with cute charm. It also has bike rental available on the property, the pool was a nice size and depth, and it was on the beach.

A little rundown in places, it’s a large resort so I can’t imagine refurbishing and revamping it would be cheap. The mattress was rock hard but that’s a trending theme in Thailand apparently (or perhaps just where we chose to stay), and the air-con in our accommodation as a bit unreliable.

I really really liked this hotel. Big and well maintained swimming pool next to the beach. Beautifull vegetation. Good rooms with airco, kettle, fridge and hot running water. Location very quiet but only a 10 minute beach walk from the Walking Street. Massage on the beach. Very friendly staff and spaghetti bolognese is a big portion in the restaurant.

I stayed the last 8 days of my long holiday at Bill Resort at the beach front villa and it was a great way to enjoy the island in a calm and relaxing place. The housekeeping kept coming on time leaving the room fresh and the staff were very helpful. Location in Lamai is perfect to enjoy the quiet side of the beach where you have a great Vibrant street next to you. Highly recommend this place. Also the rooms on the mountains were cool.

I consider this hotel to be a 'diamond in the rough' at Lamai Beach. During the pandemic I had walked past this run-down resort on the beach and wondered how anyone would stay in such a dilapidated hotel. But on this trip I had to book on short notice and my options were limited, so I decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised! Although you can't tell from the beach, it's a large resort that extends up to a number of bungalows up on the hill. Yes, it's old, and but it's directly on the beach in a good location. Your satisfaction with your Bill Resort experience however, may depend on the type of room that you book. The beachside bungalows were nice, but beyond my budget. You need to book them far in advance. I chose NOT to book in the cheapest group of rooms in a common building. Instead I booked the 'villa', which was large and had a nice patio. If you're not sure which room to choose, ask the lady at the front desk, who is very helpful. The resort is still a bit rough around the edges but it seems like they've made incremental improvements. The restaurant is open (although I didn't eat there), the pool water looks clean, and the beachside massage ladies are available almost every day. One night per week they have a 'reggae night' at the bar. It was a bit noisy and it's not my thing, but I was glad to see that they have a popular activity. Downhill from the resort on the other side is the main road, Lamai Post Office, and a Macro. In summary, Bill Resort is in an excellent location right on Lamai Beach at an affordable price for the area.

My room's bathroom sink was clogged by previous guests and they were a bit slow to respond. Also, the cleaning service is every two days, which is fine, but after two days the manager was telling me that I hadn't been there long enough. However, they finally cleaned it and gave me fresh towels. Lastly, the easiest access to the restaurants and bars of 'downtown' Lamai is by walking down the beach. It's a minor inconvenience. You can reach other areas of the island by renting a motorcycle and driving down the hill on the other side. Overall I was very satisfied with the staff, and with my stay.

Great location near lots of beach restaurants.Nice pool.Lovely helpful staff. Decent size room with large balcony, with ocean view which we loved. Our room had the biggest and best balcony that I could see. Lovely well mannered dog who visited and loved our balcony as well.

The whole quirky low set hand held shower/head set up with low water pressure as well.

The new Villa is more than nice, clean and you have everything you need! 🙏🏻 Also a bathtub… Of course COVID destroyed all over the island a lot, but they will build up step by step! The recommends before I can’t understand- you are in Thailand and not in Europe or somewhere else… Pls also see the different mentality 🎎 The staff, especially the reception lady (boss) do what she can do and help in all cases. And they know that they have to renovate asap… THX

Nice big high balcony looking out to pool and ocean, breezy. Level with tree top so nice bird chatter. Comfy bed. Nice bathroom.Plenty of storage. Staff helpful. Lovely pool. Very quiet this time year. Plenty of different restaurants to choose from within minutes of lovely beach walk as well as on beach massage huts.

Shower pressure very low. Steep climb to reception. The old chest of drawers need replacing as hard to use.

Right on beach, and pool was kept very clean. Sunbeds around pool were ok. Funky bar and restaurant area, great staff were very attentive. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Fresh water provided every day. Good wi fi in rooms and all areas. Can hire a scooter. Food was excellent and good price. Great massage on site.

Very run down, and not much attention to maintenance, but everything worked.
