Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and amazing location not far from the center of vibrant, energetic Silom are two of the my favorite things about this hotel. BTS and MRT stations were near and walking distance and it's a convenient pick up/drop off point for cars. Once I stayed at the main building - this wing has a more dated albeit classic feel to it. Feels very grand and charming, the room was well-appointed and quite large for the price point. It even had a bath tub. This year I stayed at the new wing where everything was newer and more modern - even boasting a Japanese style toilet, albeit a little smaller in size compared to the room at the main building. Both rooms had fantastic, comfortable bedding and excellent room facilities. Couldn't sing more praises for the staff who were all lovely and accommodating.

The room on the new wing only had a glass partition between the toilet and the bed area itself, which can be quite uncomfortable as "smells" can easily travel to places where you don't want it.

I didn't like the Bellman trying to sell me taxi service to the airport. I have been to Bangkok way too many time to fall for the scam about offering you a flat rate including the toll road charges instead of you paying by the meter and you pay for the toll road fees. There is always a huge difference . The hotel must know he is doing this to there customers because he reaches behind the reception counter and shows you the scam offers . It is a shame that the hotel allows this to happen to their customers It makes the hotel look like a 2 star hotel.

This hotel is quiet, has great beds and good wifi. It is a charming and classic hotel.

This is still one of the few hotels in the World asking for a cash deposit for in case guests break something in the room. Very annoying to discuss with reception staff about this at checkin when you are tired. We did not give any cash guarantee.

A nice hotel with big rooms, very comfortable and efficient staff.

The location is great. We‘ve got what we were looking for. The room was clean and the bed mattress was very comfortable, which is important.

Early check in is not allowed. We came to the hotel 2 hours earlier a standard check in and they asked to pay for a whole day, despite the fact that the room was already cleaned and ready in any case

I liked all of this hotel. In particular, the courtesy and discretion of all the employees (at reception, restaurants, etc), very kind and polite ladies + very helpful and efficient men All hotel employees wear mask, and this is highly respectful. I liked a lot the lobby and the general decor of the hotel, also in each floor, where I like the old lamps in the corridor : the furniture a little old style in my opinion give to all a very relaxing atmosphere and nice ambient. Good breakfast, without any useless exaggeration, but there is all that you need to start well your busy day. Breakfast price absolutely ok and very honest for what you get. Very efficient waitresses, always ready to help and clean tables. Perfect room, comfortable bathroom, impeccable cleaning, good views of the bustling Sathorn from the windows. Wifi always ok and fast during my stay. I had as well dinner twice in the Cafe Laurel during my 3 nights stay and I was very satisfied both times: in particular, the noodle soup with braised pork was cooked and presented perfectly, in a lovely pot and had a very tasty flavour. Hotel used daily by Eva Air crew (the main Taiwanese airline) and maybe some other different crew from time to time. When I'll return to Bangkok I think I can choose this hotel again. Thank you.

I liked all, no cons. If I have to say one, maybe pillows a bit too soft, but this is really a minor thing. Hotel is not too close to the nearest BTS Metro Station, but this is not a "fault" of the hotel (Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng station both quite near, approx 10/12 mins walking from the hotel, so it can be done without taking tuk tuk or taxi)

Two hideous things in the order of administrative stuff but for the rest, all good.

Two things with this hotel that are not well explained and freaked me out. The first one, giving a deposit in cash, in the local currency, or twice that amount in a foreigner currency. Crazy. The second one, make me sing a document where I allow them to manage as they want all the information I have provided to them or them get from me including bank account numbers, money spent, hobbies, etc. This was quite wild for me, specially cause you can not NOT sing.

I had no special incidents and everything was smooth.

I kind of knew of the odd bathroom layout from the reviews so don't want to overly complain here but it is odd that bathroom is the same room as your bedroom. The staff was technically nice and I can't really put my finger on it but it latently felt like the staff doesn't like me for some reason. Guests who waited for me in the lobby also gave me unsolicited feedback about experiencing this latent "unwelcome" feeling. I don't want to over-index on this though as it could just be that some staff just are a bit shy because not all staff spoke English fluently?

The property was clean and well maintained, the breakfast had plenty of variety, all the staff were very helpful (they made some great suggestions on how to get to the places we wanted to visit and booked us transport to the airport) and it’s conveniently located… not full on city centre (where we personally prefer not to stay) but close enough to get to the action quickly. The property is a 5 minute walk to the Sky Walk (which you can actually see from the end of the pool bar area) and Chong Nonci train station so you can be in the centre of the city/ china town within 15 minutes. We stayed at the hotel during Luna New Year (Chinese New Year) and there was a great vibe in the hotel with fun activities for guest to be involved in.

The room carpet could do with an update, it was showing signs of use with some stains.

We stayed for 3 nights snd everything was perfect during the whole stay. It’s located 10 minutes walk from skytrain station and around there are plenty 7-eleven etc. Although the streets around can get very busy, the room was completely quiet. Personal is very friendly and there were no problems in the communication. I’d definitely recommend this stay.

Only unfortunate thing was that the bathroom was part of the bedroom, and even though there was glass that separated these two “rooms” you could still see from bed to the toilet and shower due to multiple mirrors that were both in bathroom and bedroom.
