Look of the hotel, colonial style rooms, Michelin star restaurant, very funky location of the hotel - we came by taxi and had to walk about 500m to the hotel through the slams at the back of the hotel. Was a very funny experience. Good we didn't have too many bags with us. If to cross the river with hotel shuttle boat, you find yourself right in the centre, which is very convenient.

Probably hotel should warn better the guests about taking the boat from the station across the river. This information is written on hotel page, but I was very busy and didn't pay attention. Probably number of warnings via email or WhatsApp would help.

Beautiful jewel in the middle of BKK. Tranquil and relaxing. Excellent staff and a lovely experience from the normal. Access only boat makes every trip out an adventure to start and excellently placed to link up with the river hop on-hop off boats. Forget the Tuk Tuks and taxis - only way to get around BKK is on the river.

This is a very beautiful, unique and historic property that is accessible only by boat, which is on-call at all times and takes just a few minutes to cross the river. Our room was charming, comfortable and a little quirky (handheld shower in the open bathtub). The staff is great, the grounds are lovely and well maintained, and the river view is wonderful. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Praya Palazzo was a great place to decompress when we arrived in busy Bangkok.

The constant pop music from the pool bar made an otherwise ideal pool experience less dreamy. The music and PA announcements from the dinner boats go late, but that's just a hazard of being on the river. I think earplugs were provided in the room.

The location of the hotel is very romantic, as well as the garden overlooking the river. The transfer with the boat works very well - only once we had to wait 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly and highly professional. Our problem was that we got a wrong room and it was not possible to change it because of the wedding which was taking place during our stay in Palazzo. The room overlooked the backyard, the old AC was very loud and either too strong or too weak. The room was humid and smelly. For the last night we were moved into the best room upstairs ( junior suite) to feel the difference.

Super comfy colonial style hotel with lovely rooms, first bath on our travels, great pool and a gorgeous dining room with a fabulous breakfast. would like to have eaten in the restaurant but we were only there for one night so no time. Loved the private hotel shuttle boat - made it really fun crossing the river to the pier and all the action on the otherside. staff were super lovely and let us use the pool in the afternoon and shower there well after checkout as we were flying home that evening.

Took us a while to find the hotel so would have liked better instructions on nearest station as we were coming by train from the airport. also they said access was only by boat but you can access it from the otherside although we didnt do that in the end.

Stunning palace and riverside garden full of scented jasmine, frangipani and more surrounding the gorgeous pool. Blissful, calm setting just a speedy personal ferry away from the central sights of Bangkok! Superb restaurant with amazing tasting menu. Thanks to the lovely Chef Na and kind waitresses. All the staff are superb, friendly and nothing is too much trouble (even in a panic when I thought I’d lost a phone as I was leaving- found packed in a very secure, but forgotten place when I had made the long journey home to UK!) At a quiet season (after a work trip beforehand) I was able to pamper myself with long swims with the pool to myself, between happy hour cocktails and relaxing! Blissful and

I loved it all! Like stepping into a bygone era! The gorgeous library with costumes to try on was a brilliant idea. So pleased at the vision of restoring this gem of architecture. Just wish I could have stayed longer…..

The building had a lot of character as it is a historical property that has been renovated and maintained. Location is great, as it is on the river and all the main areas are easily accessible by boat.

I loved the property, but if I had to find something that I think could be better, then I think the cleanliness in the room could be improved slightly. I felt that some parts of the room were slightly dusty and our quilt cover had a small stain. Additionally, the shower holder was broken. Again, these are very minor points and generally I thought the property was fantastic

The staff were impeccable. The food was outstanding, and the cocktails at happy hour(s) were first rate. The grounds are lovely, and the private boat to take you across the river was great. We had an early departure, so they packed us breakfast to take with us, which was really sweet.

The beds are hard. Rock hard. There should be CLEAR information on how to get to the hotel. There is NO road access. Go to Pier 13, call the hotel (it's directly opposite the pier), and they will send the boat over to collect you.

The staff in the hotel were just absolutely lovely. Everyone from the restaurant staff to the front desk staff to the boat captains were such sweethearts. They also very very kindly let me check in early, which was so appreciated. It was such a comfortable stay and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The property is only accessible by boat which I found a really fun aspect of it. However, this may make it difficult for those with mobility issues. The boat pier is near khao san road, and the pier closes at 8pm. After that time, you'll need to call the hotel to ask them to send the boat for you. The boat runs 24 hours so you'll have no trouble getting back, but it's something to be mindful of if you don't have phone service or if you're coming back after a big night out.

Sooooo private and quiet. Felt like we were the only ones there most of the time. Staff was incredible. Room was very clean and the included breakfast was nice. Great location on the river just across from a good neighborhood full of bars, restaurants, and inexpensive spas. Has the feeling of a quiet B&B.

It would be good if the standard boat shuttle ran until 11pm rather than 10pm, just to accommodate dinner plans in Bangkok. They did however accommodate us with the boat to leave at 3:30 am for our early airport departure!
