This hotel just a hidden jem at Chiangmai. First of all i would like to highlight an amazing and extraodinary professional staff. Please note, Mimi, Pup, Mway and Dear. All of them were just outstanding persons-nice, polite and very helpful. Hotel is located in friendly and quiet area. Rooms are sparkly clean, great shower and extremly comfartable bed. Everything is very cozy! But once again i would like to distinguish unforgettable hotel staff. Thank's a lot! During my work i have been in many accommodations (hotels and apartments as well). My opinion that ASA Hotel in Chiangmai is the best one. Strictly recommended to visit. My warm and kind regards to all outstanding and lovely staff.

Spectacular! After three months of traveling, this has been without a doubt one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. Everything is spotless, the rooms are modern, and the staff is absolutely the best part of the place. It was my partner’s birthday, and they helped me decorate the room as a surprise and even gave her a thoughtful birthday gift. Thank you Mimi, Muay, Mon, Dear and all the staff for making us feel at home, always with the best recommendations and the kindest attitude. We already have a trip planned for next year, and Asa Hotel will definitely be our choice in Chiang Mai again!

All was great

The hotel is small, but very cozy and the staff is extremely helpful and everyone spoke very good English, so we could chat and they suggested quite a few nice places. Also, the staff was very helpful with multiple requests we had / help we needed. They provided us with the towels to go an elephant sanctuary, they arranged an early breakfast for us before going there. There were extremely helpful when it rained poorly and roads were blocked.

One of the room we booked was small (I expected it as this is what remained, but it was a bit two small for a couple with a baby. We were unlucky as we got heavy rain and the road in front of the hotel got completely inundated. So, cars have limited to no access to it. I would probably stay there as a couple or a solo traveller.

We loved our stay at Asa hotel, we were here for 2 weeks and I wish we could have stayed longer! Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had a beautiful view of the sunset and mountains. The hotel is very clean and housekeeping would always refill the water when we left. All of the common spaces were very well maintained. The location is very conveniently located just a 15-20 minute near the gate. There are also some great coffee shops and bakeries located close by. The real standout is the staff though, they are incredibly friendly, warm and hospitable and are very knowledgeable with what is going on in the city on the day. Whilst all the staff were amazing with great English, we mostly spoke to mimi who is an absolute sweetheart! She is truly an asset to the hotel and we will miss her! When we are next in Chiangmai we will definitely visit again!

We liked everything

The rooms are modern and thoughtfully designed with large windows. They come with a small fridge as well as a TV that has access to Netflix and YouTube. A real standout is the bathroom – it easily meets high standards, and the shower, in particular, is a true highlight for anyone who’s been traveling around Asia for a while. Housekeeping is done daily, and impressively fast and thorough. In the lobby, you can help yourself to free coffee, tea and cold drinks (water and juice) at any time, which naturally leads to nice conversations with other guests or the incredibly friendly staff. A special shout-out goes to Mimi and Muay – they were always there to help with anything we needed. Honestly, if I ever opened a hotel myself, I’d want them definitely on my team! There’s a great selection of tours available and plenty of local tips for activities and restaurants in and around Chiang Mai. The laundry service is reliable and thorough, and there’s also an express option available for a small extra charge. The location is perfect, especially if you’re renting a scooter – you’re on the main ring road around the Old City in under 30 seconds, so you can get anywhere quickly. And if you’re walking, it’s just a 10-minute stroll to the Old City. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s always spotless, and the lounge chairs and seating area make it a great place to relax and unwind. We’ll definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Chiang Mai! Easily one of the best value-for-money stays I’ve had anywhere in Thailand.

Excellent location if you want to visit the town centre. Excellent swimming pool with nice furniture, great communal place at the lobby ( we like to play board games wit our family). Good free facilities such as tea, coffee, juice and water. Staff was VERY helpfull, always giving you a warm welcome, able to give you some good advice about visits, activities ... . A very, special and loud shoutout to Meme, a staff member who makes this hotel even the more remarkable. She embodies the warm heart of this place. Full of enthousiasm and a bucketload of good advice. Such a rare gem... to be treasured at all times!

The breakfast is good enough to give you a start...but tends to be 'boring' after a few days. This place has the facilities and abilities to offer a buffet.... or more variety.

The hotel is really value for money. For a small hotel, it has a decent size pool and the rooms are very spacious. The staff is super attentive and speaks good English, and will offer you ideas for sightseeing. The hotel also provides free drinking water, coffee, tea, and juices even if you are not buying breakfast from them. The location is just outside the old city perimeter, so you are able to walk to the old city if you want, but I will recommend a grab bike or car. Nearby is the Mae Kha Canal, which is busy with local food stalls and activities on Fridays and weekends. It is a very nice surprise and relatively unknown to tourists.

Modern, clean and comfy rooms. Our room was always cleaned promptly and to a high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it was great value for money. We also enjoyed the pool and in April we never struggled to get a seat when we wanted to go in late afternoon. Special shout out to Mimi on reception who was always so friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile.

The location is a little far out - about 15 minutes to be inside the city walls. However Grab is very cheap here and we enjoyed being in a quieter area for our final few days in Chiang Mai.

Way nicer than a hostel, chill hotel, great house keeping, super flexible, enjoyed the juice and coffee bar free everyday. But the best part? The kind ladies who worked there! Mon, Mimi, and Mo helped us plan our ENTIRE trip in Chiang Mai! They were so knowledgeable and chatting with them made our trip feel even better. You want a clean, chill vibe? Go here, you will feel like family. Dude, I nearly cried when I left, actually the best hotel stay ever!
